I was also going to complain massively about the credit card details being saved but it looks as though that might have been fixed? But if you still have to manually remove your card details that's a huge issue.
It has NOT been fixed.
[hide][/hide]
Pressing the Buy Spins button in game takes you to a page asking you to select your country, then you're taken directly to that page with it looking like that. You press the Purchase button and that's it, you've just bought extra spins. No screen asking you to confirm or anything.
You need no details to do this, it doesn't even ask you for your password again or your security code on the card. So if your account gets hacked (or even if you leave it logged in at a friends house or whatever) they can press the buy spins button in game and then they're able to buy as many as they want with no further details.
I just tested it myself. You can click on "Manage Saved Cards" on that same page below your credit card details. You can then remove your credit card. I did that, logged back in, tried it again, and my card details were no longer there.
Yup, but how many people are going to do that? Not too many I imagine. So it's still a huge issue and needs fixing.

If you already subscribe via credit card you just have to press a button! No details needed! How thoughtful of them.
So say you are subscribing by credit card.I hack your account, then can I keep pressing the button to get more and more spins without needing to enter anything?
This is correct.
I am glad I no longer pay by creditcard.
Assuming this happens, they'd also have all your info?
Nope, just the last 4 digits of your card number.

It also defaults to 10 spins and card so it's possible to pay for it without even selecting any options, just clicking the confirm button.
What's also interesting is that the email I received went straight to my spam inbox, so it's possible parents won't even see the email about it (assuming they've used their email for the account). This was on Gmail so I imagine it'll happen to a lot of people.

It's that simple? You don't have to go through an order confirmation screen or anything? You literally just have to press a buttion?
Wouldn't they lose MASSIVE amounts of money in charge-back fees from the parents who the CC belongs to?
Pressing the button in game takes you to the Jagex store place whatever it's called. There you can select the amount of spins and the payment method. If you select card it'll have your details there already then you just need to click on the confirm button and it'll complete. That's it. Once you click that button there's no chance to back out.
So yes, it's possible for kids to put it on their parents credit cards if they're paying for their membership that way with no extra effort.

Does anyone know if book of char works for this? I have 92 firemaking banked (I hope I have enough anyway :P) but if Book of Char works with it then that'd be awesome. Wasn't listed as the things that do or don't, I imagine not but worth checking before logging in.
Cheers
I'd guess it doesn't, Char's training cave may work though.
You're correct, it didn't work. Gave me ~625xp per magic log which is less than I was getting normally. Was hoping they'd use the 2.7x multiplier instead as then it'd still be quicker than burning normally but oh well.
Thanks anyway :).

Of course they do the auto-fill tool belt things after I got around to filling mine at the weekend =P.
Lodestones are fairly useful, not game changing by any means but will definitely get some use out of them.
Aura sale is nice, I now have all the original tier 1 auras on my main and bought all the emotes that were on sale too and the cheapest costumes. Still have 71k points on my noob account (which is the max I believe, although I could have missed a day or two over christmas).

This is a ploy to get people to subscribe to members.
The members items are there for F2P players. If you land on one you can't even claim it, your option is to discard it or subscribe.
Medium lamps are P2P items.

If anyone did sign up through GAME for the Katana you'll be thrilled to know that the GAME website was hacked today. They stored passwords as plain text so yeah...
If you've registered with GAME at any point just be careful as to what happened.
Hopefully Jagex take note of this and immediately cancel this promotion. Although I doubt Jagex will do anything about it.

If you leave during any of the rooms do you have to start again from the first?
No, you get taken to the last room you were in with the others. Any puzzles you've finished will still be finished too.
If you "die" in the dungeon you'll just be teleported back to where the others are so don't worry about teleporting out

New equipment from circus (Think only these two)
[hide][/hide]
The two firemaking events are Firebreathing and some thing with a fire stick which you spin around :P.
Both have 6 tries (rather than 10 in the others). Got 19k xp from each (So 38k total) but I'm not high enough for most of the tasks (95 is max for both)
I got the top from the agility part btw, not from firemaking
More info on those items.
Firemaker's Trousers
Firemaker's Tabard
Both have no stats. Both weigh 0.5kg

Beat it 2nd attempt, used 5 sharks.
[hide][/hide]
Simply spam fires while running, attack her when her rage mode runs off, you should never be close to being hit by it either way and her normal attacks do next to no damage most of the time. Dodging fire waves is easy enough and that's all there is to it. The sparks are meaningless and don't do any damage.
-
I don't understand what people are finding hard about the fight. I just got her to half hp on my first attempt that was with no food.
You run around, lighting as many fires as possible, when she rages just stay away (or run into the water to get it off asap) and attack when you have lots of fires lit + got a buff. Then dodge the wall of fire as before.

Here's 4th Puzzle if anyone needs, hopefully I drew it right, it dispersed before I could screenie it
(Go [bleep] yourself auto fix Firefox, even YOU cant spell the word I want right)
SPOILER ALERT
Blue Powder isn't needed
That solution is incorrect.
You need a blue in the middle too. At least that's what did it for me. Wait, the bottom right most red in that picture needs to be yellow.

Q: Upgrading Hardware
in Tech and Computers
Posted
Without knowing what you're using your computer for it's hard to recommend anything.
Based on what you've posted, if you're having trouble gaming I'd say the biggest bottleneck is your graphics card, but again it depends entirely what you're wanting to do with your computer.
You should also be able to overclock your CPU to get a bit more performance out of it for no extra cost. I'm not entirely sure how well the 8500 Overclocks but with an E8400 I had 3.6GHz without having to change anything else.
