  1. English, and very basic French. I'd like to learn German though.

Why on earth would you LIKE to learn german? It´s a horrible language....

Anyway...for me: Dutch (native) and the local dialect (which has minority language status) fluently. I also speak german (good enough) and quite a bit of french. My english is also quite good.

  2. Farming is done in runs, each 75 minutes (roughly).

Make sure too visit all herb patches. first major herb to farm is ranarr. As for profitable farming, do the fairy tale 1 quets for magic secateurs (+10% yield when harvesting) use super compost al the time. Farming marigolds is good (though low xp), and they offer good profit.

Do ""My Arm´´s`` quest as it unlocks an additional, disease free herb patch.

As said, quest rewards can offer you great jumps in levels at the moment.

  3. When I was lower levelled and got members (slightly higher combat stats than you) I started questing a lot. The requirements for the quests were my guide on what to train.

Farming is good to train via quest, and start growing herbs to gain gps to fund better armour, weapons and/or skills.

  4. If you are doing them as a diversion, just train slayer. On most assignments, I get a clue scroll (possibly more if I were to do them right away).

For level 2 clues, try guards. I found abberrant spectres to be good level 3 clue droppers when I got them on my slayer assignments.

There are better ways of making money than with clue scrolls......

  5. JoaT is good anyways, greenfingers are good if you farm (protection and a few extra herbs per run). Bought call of the sea since I'll be fishing soon for level 91.

I also ahve reverance, as it cuts down on prayer potion usage during slayer.

Look at the video, and decide which one you need depending on your actvities.

  6. I train with whip on controlled (hate DG, no rapier). Most of my combat xp is from salyer, and the few times I need to use a strength weapon (SS) gives that a bit of lead. I like to have my melee combat stats equal. I think, unless you train either attack or strength a LOT higher than the other the difference is not too great.

Defense is of no intrest to you is you go for DPS max. As stated, you'll train on pretty weak mobs antway, so defence is not very important.

But I like my stats to be tretty balanced.

  7. lol, me too! After that, only smithing left for Ardy elite!

Just got to 92 as well, getting the latest level with golds only... bleugh...

Now collecting the charms I need for 93!

I tried some wolpers, but I think it is tedious, and getting the seconds is quite a pain.

  8. Take into account, that wjen doing the burgh the rot minigame to max out the charackters (elite task), you are encountering them as well.

I have like 200+ burnt right now, and they mostly from the minigame.

The above mentioned method is faster, of course.

  9. Another question? What would be the best to use? The highest level essling/wraith / node for your level, or something lower levelled as your success rate is higher?

For instance, what would a player with say.... erm.....78RC require to do for efficient use of the Runespan?

    (not hyjacking or anything...)

  10. Old news for me. In the Netherlands, court ruled that 2 ISPs must block TPB ages ago. Last week, the rest of the available ISPs were forced to do the same. It is even illegal to provide proxy serversper se, though if the proxy is mentioned in say, a discussion, it is not illegal.

Yep, lawyers will have a field day over this.

Nedles to say, it is not stopping anything. I think the copyright enforcing clubs should focus on services like spottify, rather than court cases of blocking TPB.

  11. The skeletal horror is a nice short fight for a little extra weekly prayer xp.

Tears of guthix weekly, same as the hanky points in the thieve's guild.

Wether they are "worth it" is up to you to decide.

As for dailies, I visit Robin in Port Phastmathys twice a day for 26 4x dragon bones xp on the ectofuntus. But I'm cheap and desperate for prayer xp....

  12. Herb runs and dailies cover the basics.

Seeing that you have maxed combat, (assuming to max out in total) you could hunt for cash (red chins, jadinkos lateron), or if you really want to combine skilling with money making, you could woodcut for some 100-200k/hour.

    simgad (?)

  14. It sure is, because he'll keep the pipes unclogged and everything operating smoothly, which will minimize the chance that the tombs at the bottom will get flooded with sewage.

I only read the thread title, not the responses, so my apologies if this has already been answered.

I IRL Lol'd about that. This post made my day.

  15. My point was that in many cases, if you're searching for efficiency in order to "skip" or "fast-forward" part of a game (best example: botting, AFK playing), you're missing whatever point there is to the game. The difference between work and play (as I meant them, at least) is that the first activity is a means to an end (stat, item), one which is not enjoyable, and therefore one we would like to shorten, whereas the latter is an end in and of itself.

This doesn't mean anyone who is training efficiently is working. It means anyone who's not enjoying his training is working. That doesn't make it bad either; some work is necessary in order to PK, for example, and if PKing is the only thing you enjoy in the game, then you'll have to work to get to it. If when your goal is reached, however, you don't take pleasure in what you got, something's wrong. Efficiency is fine, but systematic efficiency is odd to say the least. It's like trying to listen to sped-up music to save time.

    I'm with you here.

It's the journey, as well as the goal that counts. If you dislike the grind of one skill, and grind bosses to grind less on that skill by buying it, you are still grinding any way. If you don't like grinding, stay away from RuneScape. It's just the way (most of) this game is.

That being said, I DIY'ed most of my skills, including herblore, FM and cooking. In later stages, I got more money from varyous skills, and decided to buy some levels. The fun fact is, that I do it whatever way I want. My e-penis is of no concern to me, and I could care less about anyone's bragging rights, including my own.

And so, my OT friend, this is the answer to your question: Playing the way I want (which involves some DIY), and not being the efficiency-afficionado some other players are (which is fine by me) makes the game fun for ME.

  16. No it doesn't. I think 2,5% with the full outfit. If you "only" go for 99, the increase is not too great.

That being said, you'll get it from temple trekking, which you need to finish anyway for tasks/completionist/whatever sake, you when you get it, you might as well use it.
