To be fair, nobody learned about Budapest in the 3rd [bleep]ing grade. Everything in 3rd grade was extremely watered down American History, and by that I mean horribly biased and distorted stories of George Washington and the American Revolution and Abraham Lincoln and the Civil War. Mix in some Pilgrims and Indians in November and you've got yourself a 3rd grade history curriculum.
i dont think i know anyone who would know that, that is such trivially knowledge...yes i know of Hungary, and i know the bulk of my nations, but why do i need to know the capital? if im forced to learn the capital of every European nation, every European should be forced to learn the capital of every USA state there about the same size...

the main purpose of school is to discover what you enjoy in life, as a bio major i don't remember alot about history or English, but what i have learned in bio has been building and building. School isn't about the classes and the little stuff you forget, but about problem solving and learning to read certain kind of text efficiently. In my medical parasitology class we need read articles on certain parasites and find the important information and in class are given case studies. Although completely different the problem solving i use physic relates, and in toxicology the articles we have to read and discuss teach us what we need to learn to pick out that is important. will i remember these little details about what toxin dose what? no, but the problem solving i will use, i plan on going into medicine in a year so medical parasitology will be important. the lower grades are to give you a broad spectrum so that as we grow we can become specialized in what we want to do with our lives. Most people never understand these things in life, and just go on life ignoring the knowledge that we did learn in school, hell most people never understand, its something that comes with time just like we dont understand certain things our parents tell us as kids, we learn to understand as life goes on

without the taxing, the American revolution would not have occurred
basically the seven years war cost alot of money to Britain and they needed to raise taxes
so they taxed America externally (on goods being shipped to america) which America didnt mind about to much
the stamp act was an internal tax which brought up the idea of no representation in parliament
since America was being taxed on things it had no say in, they mainly wanted some spot on the house of commons and this would have ended
parliament didnt listen really, and just put on different taxes like the tea act, and the corrosive acts
America gave up hope on parliament and plead with king George about what was going on, since most ppl still believed in the king
Thomas pain wrote common sense which stated "everyone is equal, why should birth give someone so much power over another person"
this was the real tipping point for most ppl, the denouncing of the king and lead to the deceleration of Independence
there are some other factors such as the idea of 'imperial crisis' and alot of propaganda (Boston massacre was Americas fault) and alot of patriots terrorized people to go with the boycotts, but the major factors are outlined above
seven years war > need money > taxes > America wanted representation in parliament > denounced parliament > plead with king > denounced king

edit: as for the war, the main reason America was that Britain couldn't do alot of damage to the people to lower moral because they relied on America to feed themselves because supplies took weeks to get to America from Britain, and the longer the war lasted, the more people saw Britain as the villain attacking their neighbors and became patriots, so really all America did was play the waiting game, it was a Britain couldn't win
i could ramble on about alot of other little stuff like how the american revolution wasn't really a big revolution and how the french revolution was a much larger revolution then the American revolution, but i also got a physic test tomorrow so i'll end it here

Yes we waste resources by raising cattle, but there is alot of stuff we do that wastes a ton more resources so i think that argument, although valid, aint ganna happen, so stop talking about it i've taken college classes on this, and had discussion with teachers on this, know what it boils down to? i dont care, i like meat and i want to eat it, end of story, dont care what you think, "im no rabbit!" as my dad likes to say when my sister eats a salad and she offers some to him
side note you dont get alot of proteins, amino acids, and vitamins you get from eating meat, a more varied diet is overall better for human health then just meat or greens

id say i got pretty nice parents to the majority of the tifers, we have our arguments, and im by no means the best child out there, but for the most part they've done alot for me to give me the best options they can give me. The only thing odd about me is im adopted, just haven't got around to finding my birth mother yet.

go to the pound and adopt a dog, and use the money for the shoots and stuff the dog will need, and the rest for food
