Yeah, bad crop job, I'll live.

So, 2300 total by getting 92 smithing. Goal for bonus xp weekend is to hopefully use my bars and get a chunk of 93 smith done. Then I can do 95 effigies with stout.

Other lvls that should be coming up are 99 mage and 99 summ. Had a plan of getting 99 summ, 99 mage and 2300 total together, but the bonus weekend threw a spanner in *that* idea. Other than smithing, and the obvious circus I think my xp weekend will be spent attempting to catch up on some of my slower skills. I imagine hunter will be packed, but imagine fm/wc with adze, RC with either astrals or ZMI and perhaps a little bit time spent at master farmers. Cannot stand PP so might aswell seize the oportunity for extra xp when I have it. :-)

So, another day, another year. 2 days ago, as so many had noticed, was my 33rd birthday. I want to thank everyone for all birthday wishes in PM's, profile and otherwise. It really is sweet and heartwarming. I had an absolutely fabulous day (well, two actually) having friends over for cake and a short trip out to the regular pub on tuesday. I even got some great presents. Then on wednesday was the big day, and I actually teared up when my bf burst through the door in the afternoon with roses (first time EVER in 2.5 years!), a sweet looking suitcases I'd wanted (I know, you start having all these weird wishes when you become a technical adult) and even a wii fit from my dad (he lives 2,5 hours out of town so couldn't make it himself). Yay!! Lucky me. And on top of that my mom is even taking care of my back taxes from last year. Doubke bonus!

Yesterday I also finally managed to chomp through the last 600 or so mage logs needed for 92 firemaking. I don't normally buy mages for fm, but I was so fed up with this level I just caved in the end. So finally I got the sparkles proclaiming I was now lvl 92 fm. Aka halfway to 99 AND able to light the last of the beacons for the lovely inferno adze. So, wrangle a yak out of bank and start loading the beacons. I had enough mage logs left for about half of them, and then used eucalyptus on the rest, saving 15 mages to give to the keepers. Finally just the beacon near GWD left. Need 3 jute fibres and a needle to repair. As if I have any jute in my bank... There is a LOT of stuff in that bank, but jute? No sirree! OK, off to the trusty GE. Buying 3 jute fibres at max. And.... Nothing! Plan B: Buy some jute seeds. Yay, they bought! Off to Yanille to plant, check guide for growth time. 45 minutes :o Meh. So after about 45-50 minutes of smithing, running to check, running back to bank for cash to buy plant cure and finally picking 3 jute, it's off to the beacon. "You need to have a firemaking lvl of 87 to light this fire". WTH?? I just dinged 92. Oooooh, the snow is draining my stats. Return to bank for a restore potion. Back again. WHAT?? Ok, dumdum, might be smart to bring a super restore instead of the regular one..... 3rd time's a charm. Back again, super restore, windbreaker fixed and beacon filled with logs. Whew. Now just for the nerve wracking part. And lo and behold. I actually made it! On the first try! Woop woop!! Off to King Roald for my lovely reward, and then straight off to eucalyptus trees as I'm only 60K from 94 WC. Atm, down to 34K off, and I'm seriously in love with the adze!!!

So all in all, a couple of great days lately. And to boot, BP have (atleast temporarily) managed to stop the oil leak in the Gulf. Plus, we're going out with work for "payday-beer" tonight. And the forecast is 25C and sun, so plan on sitting out on a barge in the river sipping cold lager tonight. My life really is good!

Yay!! I am now one step closer to that elusive summoning cape

This one was in large thanks to the ancient effigies released this week. A big thank you to Vmser, Imjosh and Trixstar for helping me with pesky effigies needing insane lvls that I'm nowhere close to (smithing and cons, hello.) I love the effigy update, but Jagex seriously need to re-evaluate the assist system. Either by increasing max assist xp possible, or by allowing us to assist after the limit is reached, but without gaining xp for it. It really is silly that during 24h you can only help one friend with a gorged effigy.

So, now "just" 5,5K crimson charms left to go. I kunda wish Jagex ups all level caps to 120, cause I get my charms from slayer and I've already passed 16M slayer xp :)
  4. Siobhana
I cannot believe I actually passed 50M attack xp :o I remember way back when I was getting closer to 99. Those last 2M xp or so took soooooo long. I thought I'd never get there. Now, mainly thanks to slayer, summoning and my trusty whip I've got almost 4 times that amount of xp. I think this may be a hint that I play a *tad* much. Nope, nah, can't be. I'm not hooked. I swear. Oh, you're wondering why my first tab from left always is RS? And usually set to lobby/log-in screen? It's the dustbunnies I tell you. They want to mess with my head for chasing after them with the hoover. I tend to be too lenient with them. They get to grow to big, and then they get ideas above their station. That must be it.

Ok, back to killing st00fs. Still 3M summ xp left to collect charms for. And please disregard the puny dungeoneering lvl. Thank you very much. :)

This weekend was a very productive weekend for me in RS. Strangely enough, it turned out not so productive in RL. I think those two might somehow be inversely connected

It started on saturday. I realised it was time to knuckle under and finish some quests. So I started out nice and easy with Rune Mechanics. Thanks to the wonderful quest guides from the Tip.it Crew <3: <3: I breezed through fairly quickly. Then a quick look in my quest log. What's available. Hmmmm, I've started Summers End (The spirit beast kept chomping up my blue pouch creatures so I decided a break was needed. A very long break), and I'm about halfway through Within the light. And I haven't even started Blood runs deep. OK, there was a reason I abandoned those other two, so BRD it is. Again, thanks to the wonderful quest guides I made it through (If only that bleeding, limping wuss of a king could kindly suck it up and hurry. We're being chased my nasty monsters here!) Oh my. 400K xp, all for meeee. Well, I'd be an idiot not to spend it on prayer so prayer it is. Ding! 83 prayer. And only 39K from 84? That's only about 140 drag bones to ecto. And thanks to my trusty pack yak I have that in bank. Ding! 84 prayer. Nice :-)

OK. What's next on the list. I know. Those pesky Shattered heart rocks. Off we go. A quick peek at the skill comparison calc told me I was reaaaaally close to quite a few lvls. So I managed to polish off 90fm, 91 smithing, 82 RS (*shudders*) and 81 hunter (*shudders some more*). Whew, not bad. Anything else fun I can do? Of course. Visit Juna! Haven't been to see the old snake in absolute ages. Not good. Pass up free xp like that :wall: . Anywhoo. I've obviously racked up some more QP since last vist. 172 tears  No idea about you guys, but I think it's a personal best for me. Ding! Ding! Ding!!! Dungeoneering soared from 31-36 \:D/ Then it was absolutely time to call it a night.

Next day. Hmmm, perhaps I should drag myself through another quest. OK, I went for Summers end. First the endless bank shuffle, tele to Clan wars, and north I go. Enter spirit world. Oh, there he is the hungry bugger. *Summon geyser titan* Walk sloooowly towards the cave. *Chomp*. Grrrr!!! Next geyser summoned. Edging ever closer. I can smell the entrance (ok, I can't. Bear with me here). *Chomp!* ARGH!!! 3rd geyser titan summoned and we're in the cave. Wooohoooo!!!!. OK, talk to elders, blah blah blah. Tele to bank for supplies. In we go. Chop, chop, RUUUN, chop, build pyre, run, eat. Lather, rince and repeat. Yes! I got all 3 pyres lit! Back to bank (thank you living caverns for all your rocktails!) Next room. Run, run, run. Dig! Repeat ad nauseam. Yes!! I diddit. OK, guide says "if you have 20 pieces of food left you can continue to next room". Hey, by some miracle I have that. Toddle off to last room. Again, what's with the running here people. I wish you could lvl agility by running like this in quests. Finally. Last grave blessed. The sucker goes DOWN! I did it B) I'm embarrassed to admit but I actually did a little victory dance in the livingroom. The bf just looked at me, silently shaking his head. Hmm, what now? Well, I'm still about 16K from 96 ranged. Toddle off to circus. Ding! And lastly I finished up my last 30K or so xp for 83cons. And to polish the whole weekend off, on monday (bank holiday here in Norway. Something happened about 2000 years ago, not sure what, but I get a day off for it.) I actually did While Guthix Sleeps. Or, more precise I did everything up to the last fight. Might do those tonight. Or tomorrow. Or some completely other day. I admit it. I'm a chicken. A big one. I have even been known to do the chicken dance on occation. Whenever I do manage to finish it I'll atleast manage to get to 85 prayer. <3:

Oh boy. Suddenly I hadn't posted here in 3 weeks. I blame RS. And RL. But a lot of fun stuff has happened both places so it's all good.

And so on to the elephant in the room, or should that be dungeon. Dungeoneering. Well, my first impression is that I cannot bring myself to think of it as a skill. I mean, what's the skill part of it? picking up different keys and unlocking doors? That's questing in my book. Killing various monsters and bosses? Well, ain't that combat/fighting? Solving various puzzles? Again, questing. And Jagex, there IS a reason why I have so many undone quests....

However, in general I like to DO dungeoneering, whether it should be called a skill, minigame, activity or just a fun way to train various other skills. I like that I can toddle along and train pretty much every other skill in one way or another. I like the sound of the gembag and the bonecrusher (although at the rate I'm going it'll be christmas before I get enough tokens). I like that you can, but don't HAVE to play with others. (If Jagex had forced me to socialize I would probably had to kill myself.) I see great potential in the fact that the skill goes to lvl 120 instead of 99. I'm guessing Jagex may be preparing to launch the other skills to 120 aswell, now that so many players are maxed (pre-dungeoneering maxed, that is. I still chuckle when I think of Trixstar who maxed the Sunday before it came out =D> )

My heart also bleeds a bit for our wonderful crew. They have been slaving away with the new skill, working all hours to get a skill guide out and ready. This is a massive update, and they've done a fantastic job. However there is still a lot of work to be done and I urge each and every one of you to visit the update forum: W U&C and see if there is some bit of info you have that they need. If your submissions are used you will of course be credited on the site and have eternal web-glory \:D/

In RL I have discovered a new hobby. Sausage making! It's actually a lot easier than it sounds (and I thought). It requires a bit of work, but you get to work with pigs intestines (or hog casings which is the slightly more PC term.) And you get to decide what to put in your own sausages. So I'm guessing next week I'll be testing bacon and cheese sausages. Mmmmmmm.......

The last few weeks my RS life have revolved a lot around non-cbt skilling. I am actually enjoying shattered hearts more than I thought I would when I realised it meant training stuff like agility, hunter and *shudders* RC. It has even gotten me a hunter lvl (now 81, only 3 more lvls and I can pot for zombie implings. Of course, by then I won't spot a single one...) I am currently working on my 3rd statue, and I'm really wondering if the finished in-house statue will have any special rewards. I am also closing in on levels in RC (82), construction (83) and ranged (96). :)

Out in RL it seems that spring is finally on its way here up north. Yesterday the bf and I started the bbq-season (I even made my own bbq-sauce for the very first time!!) out on our balcony. In the sun it was a whopping 12C so we ate inside, but it was so nice to be able to sit outside while the food was cooking. The sun is also visibly higher in the sky and the snow and ice on the sidewalks is steadily melting away. Wonderful!!! However I had a major realisation yesterday when I saw that easter is THIS COMING WEEK. I was so sure it was one more week away. So now it was time to end all procrastination. Panicky message to my sister-in-law to organise my nieces birthdaygift (money, as she's going to London for a longweekend over easter). Thank god for internet banking as they're leaving this sunday  Wild search in the attic to look for thermal underwear, thick sweaters and the likes for our own easter vacation, as we on monday (yep, Sio. *This* monday, not in a week...) are travelling further north to where the bf comes from for a week in his family's cabin up in the mountains. No, I'm not gonna ski at all, but snowmobile here I come :D Only drawback is no net up there. So I'm packing 2-3 kakuro books, my ebook, mp3 player, one of our laptops and possibly even moar books :)

So, the bonus xp weekend is over, and I did manage my big goal! After about an hour of play on friday I finally reached that elusive level 96 summoning \:D/ It's so awesome to finally be able to use that amazing familiar. So far I've only tested it on a trip to mith drags (had an assignment of 11), but it was wonderful not to have to leave a single mith bar or bury a single d-bone. Bring on the addy drags Jagex, I'm as ready as I'll ever be .

The rest of the weekend was pretty ramshackle. Didn't get another level, but I did get some xp in a couple of not-so-favorite skills. So I'm now 100K or less away from levels in ranged, construction, RC and hunter. All skills I rarely train :D

Yesterday I also did my first quest in ages. I'm not a big quest fan, but I did make myself run through the blood pact. And I was then promptly kidnapped by Crew to help them with fixing some images and getting some lunar scans. Well, as their quest guides and skill tips have helped me out on numerous occations, how could I resist. <3:

In RL this week has seen snowmageddon here in middle parts of Norway (probably elsewhere too, but I've only been here so.) I was starting to hope for spring. That should teach me a lesson. Aparently we're suppposed to get around 70cm this week. I'm pretty sure about half of that already has arrived. If I liked skiing I guess I would be extatic....

People in general can sometimes really make me chuckle.

I was driving up to work today. As I entered the highway I ended up behind a uniformed police car. No problem, I'm generally a "nice" driver, and pretty much never go over the speedlimit anyway (and, yes. I have checked my speedometer against 3-4 speed checkpoints and a GPS). Anyway. As I don't go over the speedlimit I always tend to get passed by cars in the left lane. Fine by me. I'm never in that much of a hurry and I prefer to spend my money on travels, books, eating out etc rather than speeding tickets. However, when people (and, it seems, Norwegians in particular) see a police car they are gripped by this collective, existential angst! I saw car after car come in the left lane, drive beside me and seeing the police car. BAM! On with brakes, and promptly get the car over into the right hand lane (aka straight in front of me). This happened with every single car! In the end there weren't any more room in front of me, so it ended with both lanes going bumper to bumper at approximately 70-75km/h (the speed limit there is 80, my speedometer showed around 77-78 and it's off by around 10%). People are in general weird. :D

So. The weekend is over (yeah yeah, I know it's tuesday already). Was a nice weekend. On friday I was A Good Friend and voluntarily picked up two friends at the airport when they came home from 3 weeks vacation in the Phillipines. Was nice to see them again, but planes that are an hour late when they're already supposed to land at 11pm are not my fave! On saturday we were celebrating another friends birthday. I there cemented my image as queen of the "memory like a goldfish" club. After spending most of friday afternoon running all over town looking for her pressy we decided to write a card, explaining what we're getting her and why we didn't get it in time. And when I arrived at the party I had promptly forgotten the card at home #-o Sunday was pretty much spent playing RS and watching LOTR. Spent a bit of time chasing some of the rocks. I have now managed to get fm, cons, farm, craft, smithing and mining. I have one each for RC and wc (I *cannot* believe I made over 4K astrals in hunt for the blooming rock!!). So I'm missing herby, fletch, cooking, hunter, thieving, fishing and *GULP* agility. I think that's it. If Ihave forgotten any, please see above for explanation re: short term memory...

This week will probably mainly concentrate on getting charms for the upcoming weekend. I have approx 100 blues, 600 crim, 900 green and 1,8K golds. That equates to about 1-1,1M xp when doing half wolpys and half iron titans and doing a flat double xp assumption. Aka, I should be OK for lvl 96 \:D/ Besides summoning I don't really have anything planned skill wise. All suggestions are gratefully accepted, although any regarding agility or RC will most likely be politely ignored :P I'm also thinking that stuff like wc/hunter/other stuff limited by spawns will probably be soooo crowded that I doubt I'll even bother. So perhaps I'll fish a bit, or pickpocket master farmers. (I really enjoyed the multiple pickpocket update BTW).

And on the RL front, tonight is probably the best evening of the whole week. New episodes of The Big Bang Theory show, Two and a half men and How I met your mother <3: The bf and I usually go to a friend to watch it together with having a couple of beers and chitchatting. However, the friend in question is one of the two I picked up at the airport on friday, so he'll probably fall asleep at 7pm, still being on Phillipino time  So we'll see..

So. I have finally ventured into the world of blogging. This is something completely new to me, but I'm sure it'll be a fun experience.

I plan on blogging both about my RS-life and some aspects of RL. I love food and cooking so there will be quite a lot about that I imagine. Big parts of my time are also taken up by work (I work with semi-conductor technology), travelling, TV & movies and reading. Plus of course spending time with my boyfriend ("The bf") and friends.

A little about myself. I'm 32 years old, female, not married and no kids. I live with the bf and our cat in Trondheim, Norway. I hate the winters here as we rarely have snow-snow, but everything just turns to solid ice so that I can slip and fall. What I really love about living here is that it's so far north that it hardly gets dark in the summer (no, not far enough north for midnight sun) but it still stays (fairly) mild in the summer. It's also a big enough town so that we have a good amount of stuff happening (around 150K), but the town centre is still small enough to stroll around in a couple of hours. I've lived here most of my life, only with the exception of 2 years in south Norway and 1 year in the US as an exchange student.

My RS life started on christmas day 2002 (yep, the day they dropped santas, and no I didn't get any :P). I was completely lost when I walked around Lumbridge. I tried to talk to a man and he started fighting me  . I soon learned my way around RS and within2-3 months i had gotten members and I never looked back since. I see myself as a skiller (and yes, cbt stats are skills). I've never pk'ed, never killed a GWD boss and I do quests only when I really have to. Atm my main goal is to get 96 summoning (Hey, a pack rat needs a pack yak), and I hope to accomplish that during the bonus xp weekend.

So, that was a little about me in general. Hopefully I'll keep this blog pretty up to date :)
