  1. Awesome bbq salmon (I can't wait for temperatures to go above 0)

Get å piece of salmon or trout. Preferrably from fishmonger, but fresh from supermarket is also good. To a zip-lock bag add å splash of soy sauce, 1-2 smashed garlic cloves, some minced ginger and some sake/sherry if you have it. Leave at room temperature for 30mins-1hour before chucking it on the bbq on a piece of foil. Leave until done, aka the fish flakes easily when prodded. The skin will stick to the foil, but the flesh will slide straight off.

  2. Easy, low-effort (slightly time-consuming) tomato/roast red veggie soup.

This is a major hit with my bf, and he also shared it in his work-newsletter after being badgered during carrying it for lunch.

Amounts are VERY adaptable, this is waht I usually use for my roasting tin:

Take 1 large/2 small/medium red onions. Peel and cut into quarters. Chop 2 red bell peppers first in halves, discard all seeds and then chop each half into quarters. Halve about 6-7 tomatoes through the centre (think the tomato's equator, you wanna see all the compartements). Toss everything in a roasting tin together with 4-6 peeled cloves of garlic, some olive oil, dried basil, dried oregano, salt and pepper.

Roast at approx 225C (use google for F) for about 45 minutes. Chuck into blender and mic thoroughly. OR chuck into saucepan and use stick blender. If useing blender, chuck into saucepan and season with worchestershiresauce, soy sauce, possibly a tiny bit of sugar, salt and pepper until it tastes as you want it to. If using stick blender, season to taste without switching saucepans ;-)

Lovely with bread/baguettes. For extra richness, put in a dollop of creme fraiche/heavy cream or even a poached egg. Can easily be frozen for lunches.

  3. Does anyone know if/how you can check progress on the different storylines for special visitors? There is absolutely no way in a very hot place I'll be able to remember how many of each I've done.

    Good old fashioned way:

    Pen and Paper

Lol, your faith in my organizational skills is touching :D

  4. One thing that hits me is that the general "xp rates are too low" seem all to (quite understandably) be based around what is achieveable today at lvl 99. Of course, this is the benchmark that we know is true, but still, not necessarily comparable. Imho, it's kinda like comparing xp-rates at 99 with either that of lvl 78 (21 lvls lower, 120-99) or 43 (8 times the xp, x doubles per 7 lvls, 99 - (8x7) ) With raising of xp caps there would be a definite need for "better" training methods (not counting the general inflation seen over time anyway). Just some quick examples fro herby (only reason for being singled out is that it's my fave skill). At lvl 44 best "pot" is Harra tar at 72,5xp, at 78 (76) there is mage pot at 172,5xp and at 99 (92) there is extreme range at 260xp (Using the best "simple" pot to make, and ignoring super pray due to only 10xp more and a hopeless 2nd) That gives us just short of a 3,6 multiplier for the first variety (lvl 43 vs 99) and 1,5 multiplier for tha last (lvl 78-99). Still not up to the X8 "balance point" but a bit better than 1:1. If you throw in purely making ovl's (assuming one starts at 1 and keeps all reg for super, super for extr and extr for ovl) the different multipliers end at 13,8 and 5,8.

And I do apologize if I've done any glaring math errors. They happen to the best of us.

  5. Do we have an ETA for this? Wondering if I'll have time to go and pick up a few things (all nigher supplies) a bit later on.

I 'm sort of sad how RuneScape has completely changed recently though, armour, weapons, landscape and now this. Though I guess I'm being nostalgic.

Apparently 9 am bst at the earliest. Go take a nap.

Checks time. Weeee, 1023 CET. Checks phone for email notifications. WEEEEE, I have an email. Opens mail. SOD IT KLM and your annoying iFly magazine

  6. I didn't really train prayer actively for the longest time (aka from 2002 until round when ss/turm was released). It just rolled in by itself through quest rewards etc. I often used various lamps on it (diaries and quests mainly), so I was 80-ish when I decided to go for the push. I kept all bones and inf ash from slayer tasks, plus all my slayer drops (including runes, var rune armour etc, I suffer from packratitis) were chucked in the GE and bones/ash bought for returning cash. It did help immensely that I was on a major slayer binge at the time.

  7. I can't stand the texture of fat. High fat sauces, cheeses etc, no problem. Eat a piece of meat and suddenly feel my jaw chomp down on soft, flabby fat? Eeeuurrrggghhh!!! Majorly offputting and instantly head for the nearest napkin.

  8. After quite a lot of discussion within staff we have decided to close this topic. The reason for doing this is that it really is pure spam with no other purpose than being spam. This thread has gone against our original intentions for Forum Games (Absolutely NO spamming). We feel that in recent months especially, you guys have abused our leniency in this area and also taken it to mean that no other forum rules apply. Despite our constant reminders, we have people saying that "The rules don't matter here," or "We're a tight knit community - we don't care about the rules," or "We accept sexual jokes and images, it's fine!" And when we move in to enforce those rules, we are met with extreme hostility and staff bashing (which is also against the rules).

There's a reason we created this forum with a strict "no spamming" rule. There's a reason a "spam forum" has always been on our suggestion black list. There's a reason we don't allow a "random images" thread in Off-Topic. There's a reason why we never wanted to implement a shoutbox. These things all boil down to spam. Tip.It is not the place for spam and it is not something we want in our community. If you want to have random conversations with friends, spam quotes, and share random GIFs, there are other places to do that (Skype chats, IRC channels, your own forum, etc.).

We have tried to exercise leniency, we have tried to let you guys have a place to "just have fun," but it has gotten way out of hand and things are only getting worse - not better. We have rules here for a reason and you all agreed to abide by them when you registered on Tip.It. Instead you guys seem to be ignoring them and claiming that the rules just don't apply here, which definitely is not the case.

We understand that people like to have an arena for various idle chatter, but this is not it. As previously stated, there are other options available for you. And let's be honest, you guys would probably be happier in your own community where you can form your own rules.

Please do not create any forum games unless there is a clear purpose to the game. No such games will be allowed. To help you understand the difference:

    • Describe the person above you with one adjective!! - This thread has a purpose. You have to describe someone with an adjective. There is no endgame, but there is a "requirement" for posting - you have to be contributing. You have to follow the game and stay on-topic.

    • Last one to post wins - This thread has no purpose. There is no possible way to end/win the game (without locking the thread) and there are no requirements or standards for posting. Since there is no direction for the game, you can just post whatever you want. There is no way to not be playing the game and there is no way to go off-topic. Thus, it becomes a spam thread.

We will not be allowing any more spam threads in Forum Games. Spamming and going off-topic or straying from the game will not be allowed. ALL of our Tip.It Forum Rules apply to Forum Games. This means no spamming, no flaming, no sexual images or comments, no sexual innuendos, no text in languages other than English, no violating RuneScape Rules, no going off-topic, no harassment/insults/personal attacks, no posting on behalf of banned users, and all the other rules we have listed.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding this, please don't hesitate to pm me or another administrator about it.

And I guess this means I win.
