  1. okay Saru

I'm somewhat playing again.  At some point between me quitting in 2014 and the last blog update, I hit in the 1900s total level and was top 500, then quit.  Now I'm back for quarantine time and just spent a good couple hours re-reading the TIF forums.  It's super nostalgic and I do wish TIF was still alive.  Feel free to add me on RS anyone who reads this, SpaLns !

  2. You're broadcasting unlicensed and illegally. As someone who works in the radio broadcasting industry I should report you.

I'm sure Zybez radio wasn't officially licensed either when it ran, and it ran for a long time.

  3. I remember reading a thread on reddit about doing lavas to 91 - I think it's actually slightly less efficient than doing laws/astrals since the time you save compared to the money lost out on isn't worth it.  This was a while ago though, prices may have impacted this a bit.

  4. Ah nice, what area are you from?  I just got back from Index, WA, followed up some trad lines because trad still scares me.  Fun stuff.  I started climbing in university as well down in Indiana, and now I'm back in Washington and working at a gym there.  Too bad about the hours, hopefully you can get back to it.

  5. Necro'ing this thread since I was about to make the same one - Anyone else started up in the couple years since this was posted?  I started about a year and a half ago, and I'm still mostly an indoor climber but I try to get outside when I can.  Currently I'm kinda platued at a 5.11+-5.12- lead/TR level and V5/6 bouldering level - hoping to break that soon, but I'll have limited access to crags/gyms over the summer so I'll probably regress a bit.

  6. I think the most afk rc method will likely be laws, since you can click north of the lake on entrena once you get off the balloon and you run the majority of the way to the alter without having to click again.  Probably a solid 10-20 seconds afk time, so not a lot, but the best you'll get.

  7. Meh, afking bandits overnight with a god cape on has been a thing since guthans came out.  It certainly isn't really in the spirit of the game, but they've shown that they don't really care about it.

  8. Mck, what do you think that poll means then?  Why would NMZ be an exception to that?  What's the difference rule-wise between NMZ afking and bandits afking?  I don't see why there would be any discrepancies.

However, I do agree - Jagex has no idea how people are actually using NMZ.  I'm 99% sure they still don't understand why people use boosters.

  9. I would say the fact they polled it is a pretty clear indication it isn't against the rules - they've stated quite recently, in regards to the built-in autotyper, that they don't poll things when it's part of banning rule breakers or fixing exploits.  Hence, I'm 100% sure that afking NMZ is fine.
