Depends where you're flying from really. Gatwick is the main airport for the south of the UK, it has a tube line that goes straight from the airport into the centre of London too.
Actually Heathrow is a lot bigger than Gatwick (think it's got 3 more terminals).
Haha yeah, i actually meant Heathrow in my post, not sure how i got the two confused since i've lived on the piccadilly line for the past 5 years which goes right to Heathrow. #-o

Does anyone know of a close airport to the event's location? Right now I am set to arrive at Gatwick on the 27th at 10 am. There were like 5 airports to choose from in London and that one sounded interesting, but if there is a closer airport, I would prefer that.

Blizzcon is roughly the same price (well it will be this year, previous years it was cheaper), and that's a 3 day event covering WoW, Starcraft and Diablo. It's also a pretty massive event with big announcements, PvP tourneys, panels and other spectacles. I'm not sure Runefest will offer the same value, especially considering it's a one-day thing.

Other than typical US logic of we are the biggest country therefore we obviously are the biggest/best/most of nething.
Even factoring in a generous margin of error that's pretty conclusive.

Did you check if it's outputting the signal in either interlaced or progressive-scan mode? My DvD player can switch between the 2 modes and when i select the wrong one i get a distorted mess like you described. What other people said is right though, any brand of cable should work fine.

I tried it for a couple of days, the idea of a 2d platformer MMO seemed pretty cool and kind of novel. The game itself was godawful, i don't mind grind games if there's also something to do apart from the grind (at least runescape has loads of half decent minigames and a PvP system) from what i could tell, all maple story had was a couple of party quests, which were basically simple dungeons. Also hacking was rampant, i found i could level 4 times as fast if i found a map with someone using a monster vac to suck all the mobs to one spot and ust AoE'd their pile (there's no tapping system so you can just steal their kills). Was bored of it after a couple of days.

lol wow why would they kick you out?
i just figured out the best way (for me) to earn gold. i can kill all the bosses in steamvault in under 20 mins while avoiding all the adds (I kill almost none). I get 4 of http://www.wowhead.com/?item=22449 per run.
Large pris are worth money on your server? they're like 5 gold each on mine.

Ramps is fast if the trash is grey to you. I solo heroic ramps sometimes on my warrior when i'm bored and you can skip the whole first corridor thing of trash.

Tier loots can be kind of confusing with their suffixes. Generally if it has .5 on the end it comes from the 25man version and if it doesnt it's from 10 man. So t7 would be 10-man naxx and t7.5 is 25 man naxx. Vault is a bit different because there's 2 tier levels in one instance, so 10-man archavon drops t7 and 10-man emalon drops t8. 25-man archavon drops t7.5 and 25-man emalon drops t8.5.

No, you managed to miss pretty much all the good talents lol. Try something like this:

There's a way to do it so it only takes ~7-8 minutes in and out, and you dont have to kill any mob except the baron. Only downside if you dont get blues from the ziggurat bosses. If you run straight through to magistrate barthilas and check the boxes behind him it despawns the gate, then check all the boxes round the edge of the abomination room it'll despawn the doors to baron.. you can then just run straight to him and kill him. You wont get the 100's of small adds that come after you kill him eitehr so you can run straight out again.

I can solo raptor and tiger boss on my warrior if i use prot gear and a prot/bloodthirst build, not sure how doable it would be on a hunter though. The best tip for tiger is to set focus to the priest and use a focus interrupt macro to stop the heals.
Hunters don't have that many interrupts. I'll need to spec into MM to grab the silence shot and a gorilla for the pummel.
How hard do they hit? Even for lv 60 elites I should be able to take their hits right?

I think they hit me around 200-400 when hits get through, that's through around 23-24k armour. While they still hit like they did at 60, being ?? (boss) level means they're classed as beng 3 levels higher than you when it comes to the hit table. So the hit cap on em is still 8% and uncrittable defense is still 540.
I've decided to carry on with the sceptre chain, found out thati can solo AQ40 trash in prot spec whereas i got my [wagon] handed to me in fury gear. So now i just need to kill around 200 trash mobs instead of farming like 10k more carapiece fragments. Got my yellow bug mount too which was the ast one i needed for the set :D

Saw my housemate in Ulduar earlier, he killed Ignis (didn't see) and another boss (Was in 3 parts, one of them flew up in the air and had lightning shooting down) which I saw, was interesting :P
68 atm, can't wait until I get to 80.
The other boss would be iron council, honestly a joke of a boss lol.

Twin emps > C'thun for wiping with [developmentally delayed]ed pugs. It's still a tricky fight if half the group can't grasp the tactics. Speaking of retro raids, we went and 5-manned MC last night. 3 bits of warrior t1 dropped for me: helm, shoulders and gloves (so all the visible bits) and i ended up tanking ragnaros while wearing my might set :D was pretty epic.

If you remake your team you keep your hidden rating. There's a good chance those "new" teams you played were remakes of 1200-1300 rated teams.

Easily the funniest videos i've watched about WoW, they started off intending to make serious strat vids for sunwell bosses but kept wandering off the point so they gave up making them serious and talk crap all the way through.

My guilds lack of ambition is starting to annoy me. We've had sarth and naxx-10 on farm for a while, naxx-25 goes well when we have enough on to run it. I finally persuaded some guys to give sarth+1 a shot but they gave up after 1 attempt -.- making stupid excuses like "Wintergrasp is starting in 10 mins, i wanna go play it. Even though he can play wintergrasp every 3 hours but we only get one kill a week of sarth-10.
Oh well, i'm finally happy with my gear right now. ready to take on Ulduar and have fun trying to make my guildies attempt the hard-modes :D

It won't be that big lol. At most i'd expect it in a venue like Alexandra palace, the o2 and hyde park are enormous and only used for the highest budget events.
