  1. And you may laugh at bitcoin, but it's a major player in illegal, blackmarket transactions on the internet regardless of what you think. Guns are as easily obtainable as drugs are on the internet. And let me tell you, I could buy whatever drug I want and have it in under a week. Would I do it? Obviously not. But the OPTION is there.

I would also like to know how many innocent lives are saved thanks to guns in the United States. Sadly, such a figure cannot be determined...

All you "anti-gun nuts" can do is provide extreme examples of gun violence.

I'm not necessarily anti-gun. But allowing even nutjobs to a gun is just sad. Do you understand what your laws mean? Gun vendors can sell a gun without any background check.

  2. Wow, I'm talking about if guns were illegal [in the United States]. I thought the quote I was replying to would be enough context, but man... The guy had some illegal stuff on him, such as armor and a smoke grenade. I guess that being illegal didn't stop him, but whatever.

As far as computer savvy, I'm not going to clarify much (it's against site rules I'd assume to name any of these "proxies" [proxies in a vague sense of the term]), but I'll try explain as well as I can. Heard of bitcoin? Anonymous money, you say? Untraceable ways to wire funds? Sites that exist only in dark shadows of the internet, only able to be accessed anonymously and via an encrypted connection? BOOM. Illegal blackmarket. That's all there is to it.

The reason why it won't be banned is because USA is ran by lobbyists and the gun industry is huge. Can you imagine if Obama tried to shut down that industry with the economy as it is? He might as well just throw away his 2nd term.

As for the armor and smoke grenade being illegal, I just googled "body armor purchase" and first result you can buy with any credit card. Lol bitcoin. Smoke grenades are also not illegal. People even use those for paintball.

Either way, pretty sure the guns killed those people. Not a smoke grenade or an armor.

  3. See now you're the one backtracking and saying things I didn't say.

Count up to 10. Once you've calmed down maybe you'll realize my point all the way through. Gonna take another break from this thread. I can only handle so much insults and false statements in one day.

  4. Can you explain to me what is my position? I think you're the one confused. Alg there knows I'm not saying one is better than the other. I've reiterated this point over and over but some of you are so upset you just gloss over it. In fact, the only reason why I'm making this argument is because PC gamers here were so insecure about their hobby they felt the need to intrude in a console thread.

  5. Also, most people own more than one console or handheld

Most people also own multiple PCs. What's your point?

Once we go into multiple things then yeah, obviously. But in terms of a 1 PC vs 1 console, you honestly cannot say with a straight face the console will cost more. So ridiculous.

A decent pair of "gaming" KB+M alone easily costs more than $100 also. Luxury items are expensive ;)

  6. Most people will still have to shell out $100 for Windows keys. And with Microsoft throwing a new version out every 4 years (gap between 7 and 8 is only 3 years btw), that's another constant cost that PC gamers have to pay for.

If you're going to use discount as an argument let's throw in how consoles go on sale for $150-$200 (at least 360 did) during big sales events (e.g. Black Friday).

  7. This is probably going to devolve into a gun rights discussion. But honestly, people who are still defending guns, need to critically reassess their position.

But yeah, guns keep you safe, etc.

  8. Stalking Red Wings development camp, so jealous that I'm not in Traverse. Smith is definitely starting the season with the Wings, and we've still got Lashoff and a couple other good dmen we could see finish the year with the Wings... I'm pretty happy with the way things are going.

Do you expect Wings to trade for a defenseman? I know a couple Wings fans who don't like the current blueline

  9. Lol I actually liked it. I hate watching comedies in the theatre because very few are worth paying for. But this one felt like I watched a full movie, not an extended cut of an SNL skit.

  10. I'm not going to lie. I was sort of joking around when I started this thread, but then again I didn't realize how upset some people will get over this subject. This is probably the most pointless serious argument I've ever come across, lol.

You know they're just games right?

...I'm pretty sure this post proves that you've been trolling, considering the last page or two of arguments seemed to be you vs the world.

But I'm not though. My opinions might be unpopular but again this is a forum for a PC game.

I wouldn't write those down if I didn't actually believe them.

Was it the lan party joke? Damn. That's kinda sad lol.

I think people got upset the most at my jib about LAN parties. Too funny.

  12. There's definitely a noticeable difference in all of them in no matter whatever resolution.

But please don't think I pretend to be a video game designer. I did not study to make video games, lol. Talk about limiting your potential. I'm speaking from a player pov

Condescension aside, the points that you brought up are not your typical player opinions. Calling cartoony graphics as lazy programming is not something you can justly criticize about a game if you can't base that opinion on something. Your average player does not have a good understanding of how games are actually coded and implemented and what determines if something is "intensive".

Going back to your argument about Crysis, their marketing was fairly good. Everyone raved about how gorgeous the game looked and that itself carried itself into the minds of a lot of consumers. Where did they fail? They released the game ahead of its time. Few people had the hardware to adequately reach the maximum potential of the CryEngine. That, along with an overall fairly generic game with wonky enemy AI and awful vehicle mechanics, was a large part of Crysis's lacklustre performance.

Crytek is used to this though. Almost the exact same thing happened with Far Cry. They seem to be less of a company that produces good games and more of one that produces top notch game engine.

Curious that you would sought a need to edit a number of your posts.

I wish you'd actually read thoroughly instead of just browsing through. If you read the link I just posted, you'd know that Crytek is focused now on F2P games. They just said they're not making "premium" games anymore e.g. Crysis or Far Cry. I know you've refused to do this the whole time, but try to read between the lines: they weren't making money making those games. They'd rather make lesser quality F2P games because they think it would make more money.

And you just supported my point again. Crytek produced a top notch game and it tanked. While PCs do have the advantage of having superior technical details, it doesn't actually play out that way in real life. It's just some point PC gamers use to say "see? PC is better" while playing a game that could be played on a console.

Also, can you veer away from trying to psychologically analyze me? It's kind of pathetic coming from a guy who writes about Runescape.
