There is no Tip.It Chat. This has been said countless times...
Well sorry Ginger its always been called that and the users always considered it as so, though its not officail.
I was going to be officail if the staff here when i was admin here , was for it but wasn't ... Doesnt matter either way. its closed, end of story.
I know alot will be glad its gone anyways including some staff here.

Due to certain issues i have to close tipit chat down also known as lightning chat.
Pope skills has offered to run it in place of lightning's chat.
Sorry for the short notice but i am sure that the chat will be more happier there than being run by myself as i am not on much and not sure as yet if i return to runescape.
I like to thank all the chat mods that run the chat for me and users.
New tipit chat (aka lightning chat) will be found via Pope skills

and to all others that seem to want to rant here when in fact Lightning chat has nothing what so ever to do with tip.it since I left tip.it/runescape months back
Please do not use these forums to rant at others here about my chat guys. The staff here have no powers to interfer with my chat, though I do still have a few tip.it staff as chat ops there. But the actual running of the chat is for me to do though I have not been around in ages due to real life problems and I will say one thing. I am surprised the chat even still going! Thank you all that help to run it and those that drop by for a chat. I hope to be around more soon.
If you have a problem , then please come to me via private message here. This is so it doesn't bog these boards up with rants but also helps me to look into the problems there.

Urg prehaps in future i should read my pms before posting here.
Seems i had a few complaints from users about chat ops in the lightning channel. Just to overall this all. I will speak to those concerned. i'm sure something can be sorted out. I gues the rules now are a little too strict for a mature channel, but first i need to talk to the main chat ops there and see how they feel about lightening up on the rules a little.
I have seen one or two chat ops are taking the rules a little tight and well they had no guidence from me cause i been away. So please don't blame them at all.

If you have a problem with any of the chat ops there, please private message me here and i will look into it. Though this might take some time as i am not too well atm and why i haven't been in runescape or the boards much. But i will see what i can do .

Making posts like these abut that user ikillmuslins etc, is only relaly going to encourage such idiots into chat.
If you get a prat like that in chat and no chat mods are online, then please add them to ignore and certainly if its racist like that. REPORT them!
That user is on chat ignore so he can't get back in.
If you have anyone like this in chat and even if they been kicked, please send me a pm , so i can add them to the ignore list.

I have just had a meeting with the head of Community Management and Player Support about the account tipitchat.
The conclusion of the meeting was that we cannot allow this account to be used for your chat channel.
Although we can see the benefits of this account being used, there are two reason why we felt we cannot allow it to happen.
Firstly, other players may abuse the channel. I am sure you are aware that many players mistakingly think that Jagex runs Tip.It and some of our less trustworthy players will exploit that.
Secondly, we do not want to start a precedent of allowing websites to have their own 'officially' names chat accounts. Although this would be no problem for the bigger fansites there are those who will abuse this.
Be left in no doubt that we have the utmost confidence in your ability to organise and moderate a chat channel. This is why we are quite happy for you to make a tipit chat channel.
If you could create a new account which does not have the word 'tipit' in then you are quite welcome to host your chat channel on there. Once you have transferred the information that you need to onto your new account, could you disable the channel on Tipitchat and let me know. I can then remove that account.
I hope you understand our decision on this.

So I have transfered all now over to Lightning.

btw i dont normally show messages from jagex to me but i thought it be better all round if yo saw this one as it explains all.
abit of a pain but i changed all over just a few minutes ago.

It will survive i hope. I know i'm not in Irc much now and I have good reasons why not to be there, too many questions are being asked as to why I left, and at this present time I still won't go into it.
I still talk to Silverion (not every day) but if i'm worried about something he will know about it hun.
Also you got to understand that a lot of users are now gone back to school or started uni etc. so this time of year there is a drop in users normally. I have the same on my own irc server. The same with tipitchat. It came out really when most uk users were on hoilday.

Okay guys i get the general idea and as i said in other topic on tipit.chat i am addng more users with permissions to kick.
I am not geting many replies from users asking for kick powers or recommending anyone.
Even though i left these boards I kinda round in no mans land at present but still kinda with tip.it as a whole. As i said i do not mind runnign the chat and even if i was playing runescape now, i still caouldn't play it 24/7 to catch everyone to stick on tipit clan chat ingore list.
I ask alot of you to private message me here on the boards if there was a problem. The main problem with this clan chat system is only the holder of the chat can stick users on inogre list (so they cant get back in) which is a real pain!
I have added another 4 users for kick powers over the last couple of days and will be adding more. I currently on access over 60 users/staff with kick powers there. BUt i yet need more!
So if you may know someone i can trust with kick powers then please private message me.
Please be aware though in having these powers you are representing tip.it !

I have had some pms for possible users for kick powers, i am looking into them but i think we still need more. Only 7 have applied atm... still not enough.
I will start to add some tomorrow once i heard back from person thats checkiing intot he the possibles there. Alot know me well but im afraid i meet too many people to really get to know them well enough to say yes straight away, so having someone else also to look into the possibles helps me ;)
I hope to have all sorted by weekend for all you.

I have added that one to ingore list on tipitchat. Though i would think jagex would of banned him by now.
I did pop in very quickly to tipitchat and have stated that we need more users there with kick powers.
Now it feels i will open a can of worms here, but only option open to me currently. Its either this or i will have to close the chat down and i dont want to disappoint users that use it.
So if you know anyone that i maybe able to trust with kick powers , please PRIVATE MESSAGE me here on the boards and i will look into it. I also really need the time zones that need covering, preferably tell me in Uk time if possible as im bad at workign time zones out.
I have left a message with SIlverion that tipitchat needs to be looked into by us 2 . I do not mind holding the clan chat at all as long as we have enough users to cover problems like that as what was stated in the post before.
As most of you are aware i have left tip.it/runescape but im kinda still with tip.it in other areas (well until i make my mind up what I want to do and that will take some time)
If theres any problems like what came up please PRIVATE MESSAGE ME here. I do check in now and again.

Yea I know hun and you know i will ALWAYS be here (well u know where to contact me) anytime for you. You know where my heart is and you know I had no choice but to do what I did.
Main thing that really tears me up more than anything, yes i did alot of work here , alot of it was behind the screens that hardly anyone saw but I do feel strongly that users forget that over all those years I had support from others here, alot have left now for one reason or another, but if it wasn't for their support but then and now , tip.it would of died. You know that Silverion.
So really its down to me to:
Thank all past and present staff for all their support over the years and please keep up the good work. This will always be my home though i'm tempory possible permantly living in no man's land atm :D
Theres alot of users i will miss, some i will add to chat one day, but atm please don;t take offence. I need peace to sort out, not only myself out but my kids and life. When i feel stronger , you may see me back on chat. Until that time. I wish you all the best.

Anyways. I was asked to pop in and answer a guess a few questions that has arise from some of you and I hope in doing so , no more posts from users will get deleted lol.
We all have our own way of doing things, my way doesn't always suit everyone I work with but mainly the past 3 + months I have done nothing but bite certain admin butts. Alot of it is not their fault but my own. I had to take long breaks a lot since last Christmas and well I won't go into personnal details but just say things really hit me hard the past 2 months and I asked and told them I needed time off but I wasn't given the space I needed and Silverion wasn't around to help out either as he has his own problems currently as well. Well in the end i lost my temper and said I can't go on any more as things were. Its no ones fault. Just me being very worn out, it wasn;t the admins fault either, some issues come up that requires only Silverion or my handling.
I do not see things changing in the near future either and I have no desire at all to work on anything currently.
As for tip.it chat clan channel. I really not sure whats going to happen about that. For now I will let it continue to run, some operators there will be able to contact me, but I will not be playing runescape for sometime maybe even longer. I will speak to Silverion about it and see what we can do for you on that, unless admins here have already taken some action on that issue and I am unaware of it.
Anyway guys I hope this settles a few things for you.

Well I guess this is "what goes around comes around" times. Light, Remember people like Rab and me? You stabbed us in the back and never though twice about it. You let us do all the work and then took all the credit. Guess the new people didn't understand that you were the center of the Runescape world.
Sorry to see you go but in the end you got the same thing you gave.

I had to laugh today!
That was quick work by some staff, when was I added to the retired list on staff on tip.it site lol! actually don't bother to tell me it just make me even more mad.
Thanks to whoever did that, you informed staff before i did and before anything was talked over between Silverion and I.
I guess that made a few things quite clear to me this morning, I wished I knew last night when i was speaking to Silverion.

It takes a lot to get me to post here. A hell of a lot. This is one of these situations. Light i always loved ya like a mother hun, and ill miss you. Irc isnt the same without the Shut-Up Kick's and the masochistic conversations xD. Things will never be the same knowing youre gone from there. In fact, i dont even think irc's worth it. So many new faces, so many new mods in there, just so confusing, every other day theres like 5 new people in there running the show. Guess im just blabbin on now. You will be missed sorely. Irc will miss you sorely. And better yet. Runescape will miss you sorely. Good luck in future endevours and PLEASE LEARN HOW TO FREAKIN TYPE! :-w

Rba though im not there,, (but in for quick chat atm to some) you will get to know them i just hope they have the undertand ing and patince that i had over the years with some users. I have to trust those there to have a open mind and understanding of some users, i wouldnt leave unless i felt i could trust them.

Lightning there aren't words to describe how Tip.It itself is mourning this loss. Sad to see you go Lightning. I never knew you directly, but anyone who helps build Tip.It is a god.

NEVER ever count me as a god. There are alot of staff behind the screens hun.. they make the site not me. I just been here when needed.
i'm not biting, at you at all, just seems alot forget tip.it wasnt just about what i did, alot forget what rab/gugge/tanya/grin king /newptor etc also did. I couldnt do half the things back then without their support.

Today is a sad day and you already know how I feel about seeing you go Maria. You will be missed greatly, I know I've only known you for around a year, but there's no doubt I consider you a friend and I am honoured to say I believe the feeling is mutual. You're always good to chat to and helpful, Tip.it would be nowhere today without your input and guidance, and I believe I speak for tip.it when I say you deserve a massive thanks from everyone here.
Don't forget us here, and remember you're always welcome with us - and try not to get too upset! And from a staff member's point of view, it's been a pleasure working with you for this time, and the site and crew you're moving to are very lucky. Make sure you do for that site what you did for tip.it, and help make it great.

Today is a sad, sad day. One of the original founders of tip it is leaving. While I did not know you personally Lightning, I know of what you have done for these boards and I'm greatful for everything. I wish you the best of luck in the real world.
I also support your admin arvatar being permanent, and I think that tipit should create a "Hall of fame" of some of the best people to ever grace these forums, so that they are never forgotten. Lightning, you should be the first inductee.

Silverion has always owned this site, there was NEVER a partnership between us. I di at the time what i thought was right to do, without Silverion kowing.. I hope what i did back then was right.. I feel yes i was right thought hte host we had back then sucked badly but it was a stop gap.. until silverion had the time and the resources to make officail tip.it boards again.
ALot remember me from scapeaboard and yes we all had to take alot of crap while we was there and i was there if needed, but things change guys.. scapebaord went a long time ago along with a few good friends of mine and yet still miss greatly.
As i said .. you have a great crew here to update site, a good admin team if needed and mods as well..... my job was done a long time ago...

I have alot of respect for you even though I only know you from the distance, I am sure tip.it will move on, but never be the same without you.
It sounds like somthing bad has happened to you either here or ingame, and I feel from how it sounds to have effected you it's not somthing poeple should have to go through, I know I have no way of knowing this for sure, I do hope what ever has happened works out for you.
Huge luck to you in real life, and I hope that any issues you have will sort them selves out in time. May your childern manage to travel in the direction you want them to go in, and that your happy in whatever you do.

I know a few of you are old timers and u kow why i ran scapeboard along wit other sites i ran to hold tip.it up,. BUT you see Silverion wasnt around much in those days cause he had his own erm rl probems, and s really didnt see what i did.. It doesn't matter to me!!!!the point was back then was to keep users happy in chattign ont he boards and the site to stay alive even though it wasnt really updated properl but did the best i could back then.
scapeboard only happen relaly cause users were not clickign on the ads enough back then and we had to close the boards..
I could of made aload of cash if i wanted to from the boards but didnt, i never set out to make money from a site.. and i never will... i help players not to make cash, as long as the site can hold its own i'm happy,
You have a good damn tip.it crew here now that updates the sites, u also have a good admin team team here to sort what ever out. I am not needed here no more, as simple as that.
