  2. Does anyone know yet if there will be new captains? Or should I have spent these many months trying to improve mine?

     

    In Mod Silent's video about the update to ports it is mentioned that there is a new tier of captain. When paused at the right time you can see 2 of the 3(possibly more) crew from the Loop.

  3. Did a bit of killing at Chaos Giants today to see what the improved drops are:

     

    4,900-7,400 coin drops

     

    30 noted Coal

    10 noted Gold

    Charms don't drop too often, when they do they are mostly golds.

    I'd imagine there are more drops but i kept getting those few drops for an hour.

  4. I got a full key this weekend(6/15) ,Here is a picture of the rock face.

    Examine : This rock has a hollow carving in which a triskelion-shaped key could fit.

     

    The rockface was South of the Releka Slayer cave entrance.

     

    Loot was : Elite clue, 5 uncut Dstone, 3 papaya, Plam, and calquat seeds.

     

    About 8 Hours to get the key frags. 5 hours pick pocketing a mix of elves and dwarf traders. In that time the elves gave me Frag 1. All the rest of the pickpocketing from Dwarfs was useless. The last 3 hours were done killing Dark beasts, they gave me the last 2 frags.

  5. The new slayer creatures, automatons gave a bit over 3,600 xp* earlier this morning, then after a while I only got 1,650ish xp a kill. ( not sure exact number but it was halved)

     

    * experience per kill as in range and hit points xp, not slayer, I'm unsure what their slayer xp is.

  6. so do tell what doesn't resonance work on now.... is it now impossible to block the kalpite kings green bomb attack outside of cade/immortality?

     

    It still absorbs the damage (making it hit 0) but does not heal you. I believe it can still absorb any attack, just no longer will allow healing massive amounts.

     

     

    Thunderous' "true power" attack no longer heals you :( but you can still bounce a nice 5k damage back on him with reflect + res.

     

    Blinks attacks, the stream when he runs, and the "kapow" attack can still both be healed on.

  7. We’re almost finished with our latest batch of changes to the EoC, focusing on the issues I described in my last Og Blog.

    The changes below are certainly not the final changes we will be making to the EoC as a whole, and the specific ones below will be monitored carefully to ensure they have had the desired impact.

    In order to make sure that the below changes are well integrated into the existing game - and, in particular, the upcoming Kalphite King launch - we're not unleashing him just yet. The Kalphite King update will happen on the 14th, at the same time as these changes, to ensure that it's the well-balanced - not to mention brutally challenging - boss fight that you deserve.

     

     

    Change to the Offensive Capabilities of High-Level Bosses

     

    As mentioned in my last Og Blog, we've noticed that several of the more profitable bosses in the game are being killed by players of a lower level than we had originally intended, and using lower-levelled gear than we had predicted. To address this, we will be significantly increasing the offensive capabilities of these NPCs, meaning that higher levels and better gear will be needed to efficiently take down those opponents. Creatures affected will include the God Wars bosses and the Corporeal Beast, to name a few.

     

     

    Change to the Defensive Value of Armour

     

    At the moment, the difference between, say, level 70 and level 80 gear isn’t great enough to matter for standard combat training and boss hunting. Understandably, this means that people aren’t investing in the best gear available to them. We are changing that.

    The defensive values of armour will now be plotted on an exponential curve rather than a linear one. At higher levels, the difference between sequential armour pieces will be far greater and, therefore, will make a far more noticeable difference in combat. It will also better match the upward curve of XP required to progress through those higher levels, making the highest-level gear optimal for battling your way to 99!

     

     

    Strength Boosts and Set Effects

     

    We will be adding individual strength boosts to all Torva, Pernix and Virtus gear, and a few other items like the Bandos Chestplate. The 'Nex gear' will also have an additional strength bonus in the form of a set effect. The above three areas of change will mean that higher combat levels and higher levels of gear will be needed to defeat powerful NPC opponents.

     

     

    Healing Effects of Abilities

     

    We are reducing the effectiveness of the Regeneration and Rejuvenation abilities. We noticed that less food was being taken into battle than before because the healing values of these abilities were stronger than we had anticipated. To address this, we will be increasing the cooldown on the Rejuvenate ability to 5 minutes (making it an infrequent, emergency heal) and reducing the effect of Regenerate by 20%.

    This - along with the changes to defensive armour, bosses and strength boosts - will mean that more food will be needed in battle.

    This is intended to stabilise the value of these items on the GE in the short-term, and to increase their value in the long-term.

     

     

    Chaotic Add-On for Dragon Claws

     

    We will be adding a new piece of chaotic gear in the form of chaotic claws. These claws will be slightly different to existing chaotic equipment in that you’ll need to mount the claws onto an existing dragon claw weapon – both the off-hand and main-hand pieces. To compensate for this additional cost, the Dungeoneering token cost of the chaotic add-on will be significantly lower than equivalent chaotic gear. At a faster attack speed, and with increased crit chance, the chaotic claws will be formidable tools to use.

    Upcoming Content Updates

    The planned Kalphite King and the Ranged Slayer dungeons will both require the very best equipment for effectively fighting the foes found within. Buy up some awesome gear now to avoid disappointment!

     

     

    The Next Game Update

     

    The next game update will, therefore, be in the week starting 14th January. During that week - a combat bonanza of epic proportions - we will add the Kalphite King (the toughest monster ever!), Hati and Sköll, as well as a huge list of player-recommended changes to the rest of the game.

  8. On another note, has anyone found an " off-hand leaf bladed sword", killed kurasks for an hour and only got 2 normal LBS. Turoths are swarming with bots. Either these items are really uncommon or they just didn't put them in yet.

    I'm willing to bet that they haven't been added yet, based on a similar amount of time killing Turoths (And a similar number of swords). The alternative is that they're rarer than the normal swords or we're both unlucky.

     

    On the plus side I learned that the leaf-bladed spear was pretty cool. Fast speed with the strength of an average speed weapon.

     

    After another hour of killing kurasks, another 2 standard leaf swords, also a 5 magic seed drop from the rdt,. After that I went to turoths under Summona and killed for another hour, no luck on the swords, but i did get 2 mystic bottoms and 5 torstol seeds.

     

    On a side note, not entirely sure, but with a leaf bladed sword in the main hand and an offhand chaotic rapier both were doing damage to turoths.

  9. So, has anyone figured out where wizard gloves come from? Killed tons of wizards but only got the wands and books. Hopefully not a clue scroll reward?

     

    I was also killing wizards for an hour. No gloves, my exact thoughts were is this a clue scroll item?

  10. I liked them, but as other have said the one a day seems kinda drab.

     

    Maybe for example have 3 a day, all of a varying length, an easy one, ( 5 bones, or 3-10 summoning pouches, etc), a medium one ( like fish/cook 40-70 fish, or make 70 urns, etc), and a hard one ( rampages, all other high skills ones).

  11. Anyone know how Arma storm is in the latest version of the beta? I don't have it currently but am working toward ROTM as we speak and just want to make sure my efforts won't be for nothing once EoC goes live.

    Divine Storm, the replacement for god spells, seems to be the best all-round spell, highest max hit and uses air runes only. SoA is far too expensive with the rune cost reduction.

     

    I wonder what this means for mage arena. The three godstaves just become cosemetic like hilts? I guess in the EOC the staves and the capes are low level equipment, and nothing stays the best forever ( in regards to the god capes, not the staves/spells).

    Well if that is true why would anyone bother to unlock that?

    Er could level 3s get half the boost I get from extremes added to their levels?

     

    Why not unlock it?

    There's not much to buy in co-op points.

    Buying it has no negative impact on you, you still get the full effect.

    Buying it has positive impact on anyone you slayer with, they get half the potions normal boost for free.

     

    Well for one I kinda got 99 slayer a long time ago and there would be no point to buy, I do acknowledge your point, but don't agree with it.
