  1. Well, I went in today and did chest. I've always stuck to the 3 sets (plus one warmup) of 10-12 reps so this is a big change. I don't think I'll be doing bench twice a week. I used to do that and didn't see any results at all. I was benching 50kg for like 7 months doing that before I started doing gym properly.

    I got out

    1 55kg (121lbs) x 5

    2 60kg (132lbs) x 5

    3 65kg (143lbs) x 5

    4 70kg (154lbs) x 5

    5 75kg (165lbs) x 5

    6 80kg (176lbs) x 5

I'll start heavier next time. Also, my chest wasn't completely dead at the end of it, I still managed to do incline dumbbells/fly's decline barbell and chest dips.

  2. Dude nice! I just looked it up one arm pull ups on YouTube and there's some monster guy [bleep]ing smashing them

Also, I asked about the double bench thing 'cos I can bench 90kg(198lbs) for around 2 reps now at 77kg(169lbs) body weight, but it's been the same for a while (4 months), I've been going up in other exercises but have just hit a dead point in bench. My body weight has either been going down or staying the same. Maybe I need to eat more..

  3. Can you lend us your boyfriend to help everyone get to sleep?

Rainy day might have other things in mind though

    I don't think that he'd be into that D=

You know, I wasn't at first either, but Jimmy convinced me.

    He's a very good convincer.

You were always interested deep down :)

  4. I've had a fairly successful sleep pattern for a while now. I go to bed at 10-10:30 and get up at either 6 or 7 depending on my work shift. I wouldn't be able to do it without Dave though, he has to drag me out of bed every morning. I need my sleep, I'm not a morning person. I used to go to bed at all sorts of hours but living with someone else helps to forge a routine and I've had far less problems getting to sleep since I've developed a proper sleeping pattern.

  5. Aye, I have these problems. Sometimes I fall to sleep straight away, other days I know I have to get up at 5am three days in a row, but still am only going to bed at 12-1am and end up feeling really sick at the end of it.

And, I'm very active daily so I should be tired, and I am, I just can't sleep

  6. Yeah, sleep is a HUGE part of it, and eating. If you haven't eaten enough during the day or not had enough sleep you'll generally not be able to put as much effort into a workout. You need to give your body fuel, otherwise it won't run.

For example, on Tuesday I had a good nights sleep (around 8-9 hours) had been eating every 2-3 hours through the day and I managed to run 5km in 23 minutes. Today, I did the 5km run in 34 minutes and felt horrible through most of it, I only got 6-7 hours sleep last night and wasn't able to eat/drink regularly because of assignments/classes.

  7. Viking [bleep] House

there are no limits to my censor evasion

    Other than mods...

How about we stop making empty quote nests and actually add something to the post?

I would add porn, but that's not acceptable!

EDIT: No idea why I got 2 pyramids o_O

    Because you suck

  8. So you're just looking to lose weight? Looks like you're on the right path :)

Just my personal opinion, I think you should eat more. If you eat properly you shouldn't gain unwanted fat while exercising

  9. How do people run 5k in 15 minutes..crazy..

Anyway, got my bench up to 95kg(210lbs), which is 23kg's (50lbs) above my body weight. Though, last time I was at gym I tried doing 95kg but without a spotter and couldn't get it up, had to roll the bar off my chest

  10. Kiwis doing steady with three gold now. Nick Willis is looking like a good medal chance in the 1500, cruising into the finals. Valerie Adams also looking to defend her Gold in the Shot put, plus a couple of Kiwi sailors in alright position, so we should have a few more medals in us yet! Oh and Triathlon tomorrow night, yeeeah buddy!

It makes me angry NZ is beating Flopstralia

  11. 1) I always shower twice a day, once when I wake up, and another before bed. I shower when waking up to help me wake up and be alert for the day, and before bed because I always do something physical during the day (usually gym) and I don't really want to go to bed all sweaty. Sometimes three times in the day if I've worked (I work with seafood). I'll only have one long shower (5-ish minutes) the rest are very quick

    2) I using body wash, shampoo my hair around every 5 or so days, and rarely use anything else 'cept aftershave and shaving cream.

    3) I exercise every day

    4) I go to the gym 5 times a week, for around an hour each session

Also, for those that don't shower daily. You smell like shit and I hate sitting next to you in classes/public transport

EDIT: @TTanT, I didn't mean to, the annoying copy/paste thing automatically did it
