  1. Welcome to Kano's Blog of Achievements And Goals This blog is going to be about what I want to achieve and what I am achieving weekly. Starting Stats ( 8th of June, 2013 ) Overall XP: 116,133,973 Skilling Goals Primary Goal: Get Maxed Secondary Goal: 80+ All Stats Long Term Goals: 100M XP In Strength PvM Goals #1: Kill KBD 1,000 Times #2: Kill All GWD Bosses 100 Times #3: Obtain All Rare Drops From GWD Bosses At least Once #4: Complete Fight Kiln 50 Times Progress Towards Skilling Goals Current Stats: Weekly Updates On Skill Levels 15th of June, 2013: Next Update Progress Towards PvM Goals #1 Goal: Killed KBD 86 / 1000 Times #2 Goal: Bandos: 100 / 100 Zamorak: 3 / 100 Saradomin: 0 / 100 Armadyl: 0 / 100 Nex: 0 / 100 #3 Goal: Will Add Soon #4 Goal: Fight Kilns: 3 / 50 Adventures ' Log
  2. Week 1: Kalphite King We kick off this month with the king of bosses. We're due for some drygores, so make sure you come to collect your share of the loot! Week 2: No event Week 3: Corporeal Beast Though he no longer has the most expensive drops in the game, the Corporeal Beast still has solid common and uncommon drops, so even a day without a sigil can lead to a payday of a few million coins. We've had luck with sigils in the past, though, so maybe we can improve on our history at Corp. Definitely an event you can't afford to miss! Week 4: Zamorak GWD God Wars Dungeon events are an instant classic. Join us once more as we follow up our KK event with this time-tested lootfest. You can look forward to seeing a few pieces of Subjugation robes, and maybe a hilt or two (maybe). Happy hunting!
  3. Hey guys, new here and this place looks pretty cool. Glad to be here. But I have a question that has been bugging me for a while. The thing I have the most fun on runescape with is pvm, so that is what I want to focus my account on. I just really don't know what to do. I know there are plenty of things that will benifit me greatly, like Chaotics, SS, Overloads, Yaks and all of these things. I just need to know what I should put my time into to make me able to PvM a lot. I'll list out my CB stats and some other info, if you need anything else just ask. Stats are 91 strength, 84 attack, 85 defence, 91 mage, 80 range, 65 prayer and 58 summoning. My bank is only 3m cash right now, but I have Dharok's, gano, void (all 3 styles), and some dragonhide. Also have a lot of runes lying around. So guys what would be my best investments? Also, only 48 or so dung. Thought I'd throw that in. Thanks in advance.
  4. Hey there, welcome to my blog :) The goal of this blog is to obtain the unique drops from the bosses below. Adding to the difficulty of this challenge is the fact that my bank is currently worth nothing... (Got hacked, lost ~45m, but the worse thing is he/she dropped all my overloads/super antifires :() Also something to note down is I'll be using Legacy Mode unless something is impossible without EoC, or is much easier in EoC mode. Just to make it clear, 'From Scratch', doesn't mean like the popular Runeshark series or any of the incredible blogs on this forum, eg. Itam/Oddish/Runar. It just means my bank is worthless and I want to obtain every drop from these bosses, I can trade :) [spoiler=Bosses] These are the bosses I'm planning on killing. Queen Black DragonKing Black DragonKalphite QueenCorporeal BeastNexGeneral GraardorCommander ZIlyanaKree'arraK'ril TsutsarothChaos ElementalBarrowsDagannoth KingsTormented DemonsGlacorsAraxxor [spoiler=Skills] As you can see in the spoiler tag below, I'm starting at 2509 total - relatively close to the max cape. This will be one of my goals, but more for when I just feel like doing some skilling (rarely), I'm not outright going for the max cape. [spoiler=Starting skills - 26/07/2014] [spoiler=Bank]

Barrows- Rise of the Six (rots) Guide by: Hc Joker ***********!!!!Special Thanks to Vnnami for editing!!!!****** Reviewed by: Hippy Hermit, Codenamefish, Coachc, Hc Titian, Hc Hipagref Pictures From Gallery: Rise of the Six Guide (ROTS) https://sites.google.com/site/hcjokerrot6guide/ROT6-HCJoker -Speed kills: on average 2-5min -Teamspeak/Skype is not required to do well (it does help though) -Requires 4 people to start -Eoc must be used -You cannot tele out of an instance. The only way to get out is to lobby when you’re not being attacked. This is indicated by your adrenaline lowering while no abilities are being used. Table of contents on next page Table of Contents Level Requirements: 3 Prayers to Use: 3 Gear Requirements: 3 Inventory Setup: 4 Ability Bar (range): 4 Ability bar (mage): 5 Instances and Banking: 5-6 Map orientation: 6 Shadow Realm: 7 Barrow Brothers Breakdown (with pictures of where to stay): 7 Karil: 8-9 Ahrims: 9 All Melee Brothers: 9-10 Torag: 10 Guthans: 10 Verac: 11 Dharoks: 11 Killing Strategy: 11-12 Kill Orders and Rotations: 13 Tunnel Collapse: 14 Lobbying Techniques: 14-15 Trios: 15 Concluding Remarks: 15 Level Requirements: -Overloads -96 Summoning (can be done with war tortoise- 67 summoning) -95 Prayer -95 Range/Mage -85 Defense -Drakan’s Medallion (requires Branches of Darkmeyer completion and quest level requirements) What to do for prayers: -You should be on curses. -If tanking a melee brother, protect melee. -If not tanking a melee brother, pray mage or range based on who is on your side, Karil or Ahrims. -Anguish/Torment *Protect Item (also put this on for the tunnel collapse after a kill, you may die) Gear requirements: Ranged Mage -asc>nox bow>death lotus darts -seis>nox staff -serenic>pernix>death lotus -tectonic>virtus>seasinger (Melee is not a good idea at this boss; It is tougher to survive, and you can’t attack ledged brothers) NOTE** ROTS can be done with lower gear; but, the kills will have to be done by lowering all three brothers on each side before starting to kill. This will take more than one overload dose. Also, the longer the kill takes the more that can go wrong. NOTE*** If using mage, you must be on the opposite side of Ahrims. This is because when Ahrims takes to the air, mage only does half the damage to him than it normally would. Inventory set up -Phoenix Necklaces (especially for new-timers) -Ring of Vigor is advised for dps on last brother -Drakan’s Medallion -Overload -5 Restore Flasks- Adjust based on use, and if you are tanking Verac, bring more due to prayer drain. -Barrow Totems -Non-Degradable Shield -Adrenaline Pot -2-5 Sara Brew Flasks (Make sure not to bring Brew vials due to inventory clutter) -The rest is rocktails in inventory and yak -Mages, don’t forget runes!!! Ability Bar (ranged) Dual-Wield Pic 1 -Good to have defence abilities out for adrenaline stalls -Rocktails on bar makes it a lot easier to run and shoot -Voke on your bar is a good idea when defense abilities are not pulled out on screen like this Ability Bar (mage) Dual-Wield pic 2 -Remember, if you’re using mage, you have to be on side opposite Ahrims because only half damage will be dealt to him in the air - Voke on your bar is a good idea when defense abilities are not pulled out on screen like this Instances and banking: -Bank and gear between kills in burgh de rott reached via Drakan’s Medallion -To get to the ROTS well, tele to barrows via the Drakan Medallion -Everyone in the 4-man ROTS group makes instances in the well located west of the barrows tele spot using Barrows Totems until someone finds a tunnel with 2 bridges or less. This is so that during tunnel collapse, it will be a lot easier to get everyone out alive as opposed to a 3 to 4 bridge tunnel, which can easily take too much time and lead to un-needed deaths. Bridges look like this: Pic 3 This is an example of a 2 bridge tunnel on the mini map. Bridges appear as black rectangles. (2 bridges and below are you’re good to go.) pic 4 Map orientation: Pic 5 -The left side when looking up is the always the west side and the right is always east when looking up rotations. (Which brothers are on which side.) -Once in the kill area, the mini map actually shows north to be going <----------- pic 6 (arrow going <-----) So, I will explain everything as if north is like the way it appears on the mini map in the picture on the west side, and vice versa for the east side. Shadow Realm: When you get taken to the shadow realm, you must make all six brothers run over a different hole that is lit up, they are very noticeable, to then be released back to the surface. Note that when you are in the shadow realm damage cannot be done to the bothers and it is important to get out as quick as possible. If the bothers touch you down there they will hit you constantly so keep moving. You also cannot use your ability bar in the shadow realm, so make sure to eat through inventory clicks if you need food. Also, if Karil is bombing, heal to full health before completing shadow realm. Also, SR can be a great place to lobby if necessary due to the lack of a ranged presence to attack you. Barrows brothers break down Areas to be aware of (same for both sides, just flopped over the middle portal area.) Where Ahrims stands is where firehands will always be on both sides, and the blue box is their hit radius. This is assuming they are split up. If they are not, place another blue box equally opposite on the other half of the area. (Blue) The safer areas are around the edge in (green) Moderately safe area (orange) High danger area (purple) pic 7 Karil: (Red will be used to denote how to combat the specials for all brothers) Special Attacks -Firehands- (This is Ahrims, but the same thing applies, only Karil has black fire) Karil cannot be damaged in this state. pic 8 Stay on the edges of the map along the sides and back walls. Any closer than 2 steps off a wall and the firehands can hit you. If Karil and Ahrims are on opposite sides they will always firehand in the same spot like in the picture above, always on the north side in the middle of the 4 rock platform-looking-things. If Karil and Ahrims are on the same side, and one is going to firehand, it will always spawn at the north. But if both were to firehand at the same time, one can spawn on the north and one can spawn on the south, so be aware. But, in most cases, the south side is a lot safer than the north. Only go to the north if escaping from a bomb, which I will explain next or run around the back wall with a spinner. And, if you must pass through a fire hand, always use the mage ability Surge, if available. -Bombs Bombs look like chaotic clouds from runespan and spawn from Karil. Bombs come in sets of three on each side. Karil cannot be damaged in this state. Be careful not to stay near the middle portal during this attack; bombs from the other side, if close enough, can hurt you. If you’re on the side Karil starts on when bombs appear, you will be initially dragged towards them. To get away, it is best to click away and surge to a safe area. The next two bombs will then appear and blow up in the location where Karil shows up, so, to dodge these, just run to the opposite side of the room because the bombs have a large explosion radius. If you’re on the side that Karil does not start on, you know a bomb will appear if you see Karil on your side and you will also then run away as far as you can. Surge highly useful during this attack. NOTE**** You can hop to the other side of the arena by immediately clicking on the bomb as it appear and you will be teleported to the other side (that bomb with then not blow up). If you are too slow it will not let you through and you will be hit for high damage. -On Top of the Ledges Karil can go on top of the 2 ledges on the north and south ends of the area in between the 2 sides. He then shoots purple lighting down on the side he didn’t spawn onto those players. If players run into the lightning they will be hit for 1.5k damage several times until they run away from it. When karil is on the ledge, only the players on the lightning side can harm him. If you stay on the back wall, this will not hit you Ahrims: Special Attacks -Firehands (see Karil firehand instructions, they are the same), (Fire is orange rather than black) -On Top of the ledges Just like Karil, this move only affects players on the opposite side of where Ahrim spawned. Ahrim will place 8 smoke puffs that look exactly like the ones seen in Shadow Realm, only colored. Most will be purple, they will deal small constant damage to the player should they step in it. One maybe red/orange, if this is the case, if a brother steps into it, they will be healed in small constant increments. -Takes to the air (at 45k lp ahrims will take to the air he really does not do anything in the air so no worries also cannot firehand while in air so you can go in that spot at this point if you want. All Melee brothers: -All the melee brothers can do a Spinning Attack and do massive damage. (2000+ per tick.) If you are put into the shadow realm by a melee brother, when you get out, make sure to run because, most of the time, that brother will start spinning right away. The best way to get away from a spinner is to run from the initial spin and keep going along the wall. If you get stuck or there is a bomb where you are, turn towards the spinning brother and surge back through him. You will not take damage by surging through the brother and you will then have more room to work with. -Wall-Hop- Brothers will randomly run awkwardly away from you and chances are they are doing a wall-hop to then land on you for some high damage. To avoid this, take a few steps away from where you were standing and he will not land on you -Last brother left to kill- If a melee brother is last to kill make sure the person with less adrenaline vokes the brother and if it spins keep it near your partner so they can max dps it with sunshine or death swiftness. Torag: Special Attacks -Spinning Attack- (refer to all melee brothers) -In the dirt – You will know when you get put in the dirt when you can’t move and only your head is showing. At this point you need to alert your teammate to come free you. Spamming @@@@ in chat usually is a good way. When they see that, your teammate must dps Torag until you are released. The only thing you can do in the dirt is eat food. Guthans: Special Attacks -Spinning Attack- (refer to all melee brothers) -Throws His Spear- Guthans will release his spear and it will stick into the furthest player from him on the same side. This spear hits constantly on the person it spears and it has to be removed. Removing the spear- There is 2 different techniques that are up to the one with the spear in them. 1 is voking Guthans and waiting until he pulls it out. The second method is to run next to Guthans to have him pull it out. Either way, once the person tanking Guthans is in a safe spot, they can stop moving so the other can have the option of what he/she wants to do. It is the speared person’s job to get the spear removed. Verac: Easiest of the brothers and it’s best to learn by tanking him! -Spinning Attack- (refer to all melee brothers) He does do this, but not very often. At least not nearly as much as the others. -Ties Your Soul- There will be green arrows on the ground, if you do not run to that spot, Verac will drain your prayer at an accelerated rate. This is not a big deal if you choose to ignore it. That’s why you should have the extra restores. -Helicopter- On the off chance he does this he gets flipped up into the air and spins his flail like a heli blade, treat it like any other spin. Dharoks: Special Attacks -Spinning Attack- (refer to all melee brothers) -Give Me Everything- He spawns blue lightning around himself and whatever damage you do to him at that point will be reflected back on his next attack To make sure you do not get hurt, wait a few seconds then devotion with melee protect on and it will not hit you. Another way to block this if you do not have devotion or not enough adrenaline is to put on your shield and time a resonance. You can heal yourself instead of possibly getting ko’d. -Passive- The lower Dharok’s lp is, the higher his regular hits will be; so, always save him for last or you will be wasting a lot of food. Killing Strategy: -On all rotations Karil should be killed asap; both teammates on his side should work on him when he is there. -Kd=Karil dead, this means that Karil has been slain on his spawn side and it is now time to kill off all the brothers. I will give the order to kill the brothers later on -If Dharok and Ahrims are on the opposite side, I would leave them at 50k lp until the end if both players on that side saved their adrenaline. 100% adrenaline+vigor+adrenaline pot can do enough dps in 45 seconds, so long as they kill Ahrims first and Dharok last. -There is a timer on top of all the dead brother’s heads after they been killed. All will respawn with 25k lp if another brother from either side is not killed within that 45 second window. If they respawn the kill is not lost; but, the kill order will have to begin again starting with Karil. -The two players that are not on the side of Karil should have 2 brothers low by the time KD is called. Keeping them around 5k is fine until it comes time to kill them. Once again this changes when Ahrim and Dharok are on that same side. - On the side with Karil, when Karil is not around, try to dps one of the others on your side until you can attack Karil again. This will ensure an easier effort killing the other brothers come kill time. - It is always best to split up the melee brothers, one player takes one, and one takes the other. If there are 3 melee brothers on one side then make sure the one with Torag is by themself so they do not get dirted and spun on by another melee brother. - Be a team! If it’s DVG, have the one person voke Verac so the guy who’s speared doesn’t have worry about Dharok spinning on him when he’s trying to take it out. -After each brother is killed all others still alive will add 5k to their life points. -Another helpful hint: If Ahrims and Dharok are split up and you are on Ahrims’ side, after your team has reached KD, go to Ahrims and up him into the air by lowering his lp to 45k. Then, go back to your second guy. This way Ahrims is ready to be dpsed 50k when you are done with your second without worrying about firehands or going to the ledge. Kill Orders and Rotations on next page These are the kill orders for the various rotations which brothers to kill in order on each side of the map Note****** karil is to be killed first on every rotation even if you’re ready to kill your side wait till they say kd or the kill will end up having a lot of unnecessary problems. Also you can tell if a brother is killed when you see a little shadow burst come from the bottoms of the brothers. Rotations for the day can be found by googling rise of the six rotation, it’s the first link. -I written the first letter of the brother’s name you should kill in order once Karil is dead -these are not set in stone but it can make the kills a lot simpler if you have a baseline to go off of. -Some teams do it differently, everyone has their own opinions Ktd-gva Kgd-tva Kvd-tga Kad-tgv Ktv-agd Kgv-atd Kva-tgd Ktg-avd Kga-tvd Kta-gvd The easier rotations are when Karil and Dharok are on the same side so you have time to dps Dharok 50k They are the same concept when they are on the other side. Didn’t want to waste time writing them all the other way around. Tunnel Collapse: -After you get the kill make sure everyone loots the chest, then stand where the second purple force field normally is. If you pass this, then the tunnel will start collapsing. So, once all are ready, start running back through the tunnel. Pic 9 -You will notice when you get to the bridge that they are now broken. -There are 2 ways to cross. There is a ledge on the side and either a vine or a platform in the middle. -If you are the last one to the bridge, you take the middle jump (the vine or platform), because that is faster than taking the ledge and you need to catch up and get out before the timer hits 0. Team mates should also note whether or not they ahead of others and take the ledge to let those behind them catch up. -If the timer hits 0 rocks start to fall and you will take consistent high damage, so start spam eating while continuing to run back out to the rope you came in on. -Note: If you die during tunnel collapse, you will lose the energies that you received for that kill because they are unstable. If you make it out then the energies become stable and can be sold. Also you may bring them in for another kill because they will stay stable. Deaths can occur even on a 2 bridge tunnel, so having Protect Item on is advised. Lobby Techniques -If the kill is lost or someone dies early in the kill and you want to try to exit, you have to lobby. -Teleporting is not an option as it won’t let you once in a tunnel -One option is killing off your side before all the brothers come over and then lobby -You can kill only Karil and or Ahrims so mage and range shots do not hit you and run then around the edge of the map from the melee guys to then lobby -Running from the brothers in shadow realm is the easiest way to lobby -Remember that if no one is on the other side the other three brothers will come to your side as well. To avoid this when trying to lobby, if you kill a brother that will prevent the other three brothers from joining your side and making it much more difficult to lobby. Trios: -There will be times when someone dies and the three left over may try to salvage the kill. -If most of the brothers are ready to kill then the person that is by themselves needs to “hop” over to the other side with the other 2. This is done by entering a bomb as soon as it appears and it will teleport you to the other side. Note: If the person that is alone is dirted by Torag, the others to need to come to him and free him. -Once on the same side, your team must wait until all 6 brothers come to the same side before killing any brothers or the 3 will stay on the side with no one there and the kill will be lost. -Once all brothers are on the same side, pick off Karil and then try to kill the ones with the lower lp, preferably Torag and then Guthans, but things can always change. -It helps if someone calls out the first letter of who to kill so everyone is on the same page. -It is important on a trio to watch for Dharok. If he is last or second to last to die, time it after the “give me everything” to attack him or he may do that in the middle of trying to kill him and you will not have enough time to dps him to death. Helpful Tip: If karil bombs on a trio when all are on same side, a six bomb set will appear. To combat this, all can take turns hopping into the bombs and they will not blow up. Thank you for reading my guide. Hopefully it was helpful for you. PM me for any other questions you have. Hc Joker

(The bank is near the Burthorpe lodestone). The Boss Our opponents are Commander Zilyana & her three minions; Bree, Growler & Starlight. Friend Chat Comeback, you need to type in Hokuspokus (the FC's creator) to join. Inventory, Equipment & Tips Bring at least level 60 armour/weaponry equipment with you, enough food (at least swordfish), potions etc.According to my experience (about 3 years ago) this boss doesn't hit too hard, but she is quite accurate with her attacks. So don't underestimate her since she will stab through your heart at a steady pace. If you have completed the Rum Deal quest; I strongly suggest bringing the Holy Wrench along with you since it can be equipped in the pocket slot and therefore it wont be using an inventory space of yours. The Holy Wrench allows you to gain additional prayer points when drinking prayer related potions. Remember, we are on a holy mission this time, so we have to fight holy power with holy power! O:) In addition, if you have the Shard of Zaros from the Fate of the Gods quest, it will grant you a passive immunity -The NPCs wont be aggressive towards you- from all the 5 GWD factions; Armadyl, Bandos, Saradomin, Zamorak & Zaros. (The only exceptions are the NPCs in each of the respective boss rooms). Note that: You must have the shard equipped in the pocket slot for it to work. Those of you who are experienced with the Dominion Tower are recommended to bring your dreadnips and dominion markers with you; -The dreadnips deal extra damage & can poison the target. They can also stun certain bosses (Not sure if they can stun Zilyana, will find it out at the event).-The Dominion Markers are able to boost your combat stats, so the usual super set wont be necessary. (If you have higher level potions, it's better to use them instead of the marker). See the Tip.It's guide* for more information about the event: http://www.tip.it/runescape/pages/view/saradomins_encampment.htm *Please note that the guide is still out-dated, but the basics should remain the same. Requirements -The Troll Stronghold quest.-Either level 60 strength or agility to access the God Wars Dungeon. In addition bring a rope if it's your first time to access the God Wars Dungeon.**-Level 70 Agility to access the Saradomin's Encampment and a rope if it's your first time there.** **Please note that I'm just assuming the ropes are still required, it may have been changed since I was last time there, but bring 2 ropes if it's your first time; 1 for GWD & 1 for Saradomin GWD. Lastly I hope you like unicorns! Because there will be plenty to... Hrmm... Pet. Just make sure you don't get impaled by Starlight. See you there! :)

Friend Chat Comeback, you need to type in Hokuspokus (the FC's creator) to join. Inventory & Equipment The boss, as all good demons, is weak to fire spells. So the most effective way to purge a demon, is by burning it alive! But melee is also good. Not sure about ranged, I think ranged is the last choice. But it's best to use the combat style you like most. :) Bring at least level 60 armour/weaponry equipment with you. This is a boss that occasionally hits hard (around 500-600 in Legacy mode/5-6k in EoC mode) and it's suggested to keep your health as close to maximum as you can. K'ril is also capable of draining your prayer points with the hard hitting special attack sometimes, so make sure to bring a few extra prayer- or super restoration potions with you. You gotta be pious to defeat the demons after all hahah. O:) Those of you who are experienced with the Dominion Tower are recommended to bring your dreadnips and dominion markers with you; -The dreadnips deal extra damage & can poison the target. They can also stun certain bosses (Not sure if they can stun K'ril, will find it out at the event). -The Dominion Markers are able to boost your combat stats, so the usual super set wont be necessary. (If you have higher level potions, it's better to use them instead of the marker). See the Tip.It's guide* for more information about the event: http://www.tip.it/runescape/pages/view/god_wars_dungeon.htm *Please note that the guide is still out-dated, but the basics remain the same. Requirements -The Troll Stronghold quest. -Either level 60 strength or agility to access the God Wars Dungeon. -Level 70 hitpoints/lifepoints/constitution (whatever they call it these days) to access the Zamorak's Fortress. Come join the crusade against the evil demons that lurk inside the deep-cold dungeon of Zamorak. This boss is known to be a profitable method and it offers a decent challenge to keep the fights interesting. Which is why it's good to remember not to bring any items that you're not willing to risk. You should still be able to re-obtain all your lost items from Death if you die though. Finally, make sure you're not scared of the small imps; You need to be brave enough, show no fear! And know how to handle demons, even the small, devious ones. ;) Towards the gates of hell, we march!
  14. Hi there! I am looking for a few experienced founders for the best clan in the world. Why the best clan? Well, because I am Anthony...and I am awesome. On a serious note, I am looking for a few players, preferably with experience in running a clan. I believe that a clan should not have very high requirements, as that will only limit the potential number of members we could have. The level requirements for joining the clan will be 80 combat or 1000 total level. This will be a social clan, along with many events and activities, such as mini-games and bossing. Positions Available: Head of Recruitment - Stringzzz Head of Enforcement Head of Events Citadel Manager* I am eager to meet everyone and hopefully we can get a great clan started for everybody to enjoy! Interested? Join my friends chat or PM me in-game for more information. *In order to become the Citadel Manager, it is an absolute must that you have past experiences working with the citadel. Thanks, Anthony
  15. Going to keep this short and simple. I've quit RS to play on the 2007 servers. I don't find the eoc servers fun anymore so that's it, I wont be going on the eoc ever again. Going to keep this blog updated daily and not ditch it like I ended up doing with my eoc blog. 17. I have been making Combat Beta PvM videos on my YouTube channel, and it came time for me to take on the Kalphite Queen. However, the last thing I was expecting to happen while making this video was to get a Dragon Chainbody drop, lol. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E_v0e-Xqioo All Like ratings and Comments are greatly appreciated. I'd like to get my channel a little bit more known :). My YouTube channel name is HumblexTurtle, and I want to go to all the bosses in the Beta and kill them with each combat style. If you are interested in experiencing the adventure with me, feel free to subscribe. Thanks for checking out this thread!
  18. "Damnation seize my soul if I give you quarter, or take any from you!" - Captain Blackbeard ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~The few survivors make it to shore~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Whether it's been hours or days since the battle, you can't really tell. Slowly, one violent coughing fit or ragged breath at a time, the sea water begins to vacate your lungs and the memories begin to return to you. Yes, there must've been a battle. The blood stains on your sopping wet clothing can attest to that. Through one way or another, you've made it from the battered remains of the sinking ship to land and now it's time for rest. Your mind begins to wander in sleep... Captain Frega's ship was the most feared vessel known in the Inner Sea region. Its complement consisted of 250 experienced and fearsome pirates, as well as nearly fifty siege weapons, including twenty "dragon cannon" smuggled from distant lands. Captain Frega had terrorized the region for nearly three hundred years and was featured in local legend; his frequent raids on towns even up to ten miles inland made sure that those legends would never die. Nor did he die; one of the secrets that he trusted only to his crew was that he was actually a lich, something that granted him eternal life and allowed him to safely navigate the eye of Abendego, a massive permanent hurricane that only the greatest of sailors have ever survived. He had attracted the attention of powerful adventurers and archmages that sought to end his terror through epic campaigns, but he always returned, with a new ship and a new crew. Although dissuaded by the high mortality rate and the fact that the employer was an undead monstrosity, for one reason or another, you were accepted and joined his crew (already an achievement) and served under him in some capacity, although given the crew's massive size and experience, it was unlikely that you made it far up the ladder. The ship's success once again attracted the attention of lawful authorities and an entire fleet was dispatched to deal with the problem. The ship hid in the region's natural coves and ports, but with the help of other pirate captains that sought amnesty from the authorities or were jealous of Captain Frega's success, the fleet found and chased the ship into the open ocean, where in a fierce naval battle, Captain Frega's ship was destroyed. Not once did the fleet attempt to grapple or board the ship, so fearful they were of fighting the legendary pirates in hand to hand combat. The fleet scoured the waters for survivors and killed them before returning home. Except, you did not suffer death, but something much worse for a pirate. Poverty. The fine clothes and fine wine and fine women (or men) seem like a distant memory now. Instead, the only thing that you wear are bloody rags, the only thing you've had too much to drink of is sea water, and the only thing getting in your pants is sand. Out further along the beach, someone is waving to you. Could it be...another survivor? You stumble your way towards them. ----- Hopefully that provided enough background information for the most part. This campaign is set in the inner sea region and part of the Arcadian sea. Further details can be found on the Pathfinder wiki or by asking me. The general cultures are the same as in the Golarion setting, but the actual area that this takes place is my own creation. Creation Rules: Level 6 1st party Pathfinder SRD sources + Dreamscarred Press Psionics allowed (case by case for other things) 1 bonus skill point per level to be put into either swim or survival skill 25 point buy 2 hero points It would also be cool to add backstory, to help me and others to get to know your character better. Some possible questions that you might answer: Where did you come from and how did you end up with Captain Frega? What position on the ship did you hold/what was your role? How did you manage to survive and get to land? And any other information that you'd like to add, but I'm sure that we will get to experience your character's personality first hand once we start. The only thing is that you are PIRATES. Given that, it is probably not wise to attempt and play a paladin, as you will probably lose your powers pretty soon from looting and pillaging (or letting others pillage while you stand by and do nothing to stop them). Also, if you would like to play an unusual or hated race, that is fine by me. It may poison your interactions, but you are already murderers and that will probably lead to some prejudice already. In a society where strength is the only thing that counts, maybe it wouldn't be as much of an issue to be an orc. Also, the captain was an undead monstrosity, so you're probably in the clear there.
  19. 'Lo, As of late, me and a friend of mine have been trying to duo Nex. However, we fail on the classic stage - blood. We never seem to be able to dish out enough DPS to get past it, even though I'm in Torva and he's in Bandos and we both have Drygores. We've tried to 'bruteforce' it, by pulling adrenaline potions, opening with a Berserk and dishing out thresholds asap to no avail. We're at a loss here; what should we be doing that we're clearly missing? - On another note, I've also been trying to solo Nex, just to get my feet wet and lose that nervous, tingling feeling you get when you first hunt her. I can perfectly solo the first two phases, much like everyone else, but I end messing up on Blood, too. Now, I immediately thought that doing the method I explained above wouldn't work in a solo (You don't need that much of a brain cell to understand that if two can't do it, neither can one), but I did see some solo videos. The most recent one I saw was a small past stream by Ambler, over on Twitch. Trying to emulate his strategy of killing reavers / running from sacrifice, I almost, almost did it, but still ended up not getting through it. In that video, he was in Tetsu. I did this in Torva with dual Drygores and couldn't do it. Yet, in Tank armor - POP - he manages it  So, if anyone with experience has any tips they wouldn't mind sharing, please go on! Should I swap my ability bar? Should we both? Should the tank in a duo wear a shield, or must we both use dual Drygores? (I also saw that Mith Seed trick for Ice phase. That's quite ingenious) On the same note, if anyone wants to just share their tactics / gear / ability bar for solo / duo, I can pick it up from there. Thanks in advance!
  20. hi guys looking for tips to last longer at nex , can do up to 2 and half kills with seismic dps buddy... gear and action bar below , stat signature... think my action bar stinks or superiour tetsu helmet not good enough? want to do longer trips :)
  21. Vorago Mass! Time and Date Date: Saturday 22nd March 2014 Time: 7pm BST Other Time Zones: GMT (Greenwich Mean Time): 7pm CET (Central European Time): 8pm ACT (Australia Central Time): 6am PST (US & Canada Pacific Standard Time): 12pm MST (US & Canada Mountain Standard Time): 1pm CST (US & Canada Central Standard Time): 2pm EST (US & Canada Eastern Standard Time): 3pm A countdown timer can be found HERE Server and Location - Will meet at Falador Lodestone, World will be announced closer to the time! The Boss - Vorago is a gigantic, rocky and extremely powerful boss monster created by the Anima Mundi, or as he refers to it, the "earth soul", billed as the toughest boss monster in RuneScape! Friend Chat: "Good Nexer" Inventory & Equipment - The most common & widely used methods of taking down Vorago is with Magic and/ or Melee... because some of Vorago's phases require you to do a lot of damage as quickly as possible only the best weapons in the game are good enough, so level 90 Weaponry is a must, however if you are using Magic level 80 weapons can be used instead. [spoiler=Melee Setup]Gear: Inventory: Ability Bar: [spoiler=Magic Setup]Gear: Inventory: Ability Bar: * Please note the setups shown are just examples, Dungeoneering shields & Ports armours can be used instead. ** Also for Magic users, the Chaotic & Armadyl Battlestaff's can be used in place of Virtus Wand+Book. If you do not have a Pack Yak, it is recommended for you to bring a Pack Pig or War Tortoise, with a Unicorn and scrolls. Recommended stats are; 90+ in Attack, Strength, Defence & Constitution if you choose to opt with melee but only 90+ Range/ Magic & defence if you don't. 96~ Herblore (for overloads) 95 Prayer for stat boosting prayers & soulsplit! (If you don't have access to curses, an Amulet of Zealots combined with the basic boost prayers is a suitable alternative. Requirements - To face Vorago you do not need to do any quest or gain any kill count beforehand, however you do need to talk to Vorago and have a brief conversation, and it's advised you watch a guide or two before you enter for the first time... Below Is a brief written guide on how to do a successful Vorago kill, we recommend you take note and come clued up before battle if you haven't been before! :) [spoiler=Read Me...]Before entering the fight, Vorago will charge a massive attack of 50,000 damage... This will be split amongst everyone who accepts his challenge, so please be sure to have a healthy amount of lifepoints before starting. Having a shield equipped & life points boosted from a bonfire should be more than enough to survive this. Throughout the fight one thing needs to stay the same, player positioning... Vorago sends magic orbs to those stood out of melee distance, these are AoE attacks so hurt surrounding players... because of this, tanks need to stand as far back as possible, normal range & magers need to hang around in the middle, a few steps out of melee distance is enough & meleer's ofcourse need to be in melee distance however try to refrain from walking under Vorago as he does the same Stomp damage like the Corporeal Beast! Please Note; Some of Vorago's phases change each week, this is for correct for the phases seen in the Vitalis Rotation. Phase One: To pass this phase one person will need to climb up the side of the arena & jump onto Vorago while another positions Vorago's back to face the jumper. Because of the preciseness needed for this phase, its advised everyone have Incite OFF & no agressive familiars be brought along. Phase Two: This phase is time based & requires a fair amount of teamwork, or else there will be many deaths! Vorago will do a series of bleed attacks which if focused on one person for too long will make it deal an unblockable hit of 4500, this damage can be prevented by provoking Vorago from that player, then having someone provoke Vorago from you & using Freedom, Escape or Barricade to negate the bleed damage. (Below an animation of when Vorago starts a bleed attack.) A short while after Vorago does the bleed attack 5 times he will then reflect all incoming damage to a random player, it is your job to stop attacking Vorago as soon as the message that he is channeling damage to you or someone else appears! Once this process is repeated 3 times Vorago will stumble, players will need to repeatedly click on Vorago to pull him further to the ground.. Once this is done you will need to do as much DPS (Damage Per Second), as possible. Please note the constant 150 hits you get while pulling Vorago to the ground, it is advised you keep your health above at least 3k, when this is happening. The team will need to repeat this process twice in order to pass this phase. Phase Three: This phase is DPS based so do as much damage as quickly as possible, player positioning is also very important in this phase. At the start of the phase, Vorago will launch a small white orb away from him, it's the job of the team to run with it, standing on or around the orb when it explodes, dealing 2000 damage to every player. At least 5 players need to be standing on the orb when it explodes, or a up to 5 Vitalis will spawn, this number decreases by one for each player hit by the damage. (Note- It is possible to block the damage by using the resonance ability, but it will not heal you, just block the damage. Abilities like anticipation and debilitate reduce the damage taken by 10% and 50% respectively. Phase Four: This phase is simular to Phase Two in which Vorago will do bleed & reflect damage at certain intervals, however after he reflects damage he will charge a massive fire attack... Players have 10 seconds to locate & run under the waterfall which will randomly appear in one of the 4 corners of the room. YOU NEED TO BE COMPLETELY UNDER THE WATERFALL OR ELSE YOU WILL TAKE THE DAMAGE WHICH HAS A MAX HIT OF 9500~. A few attacks after the waterfall occours, a few people will have a Stone copy of themselves spawn, if you have one, a flashing arrow will be above it's head. Vorago will also spawn Vitalis during this phase too, much like phase 3, at least 5 people need to run to the orb to stop them spawning! Phase Five: The home straight! Here everyone needs to stand in one spot & simply do as much damage as possible, eventually Vorago will keep getting pushed back till he is on the edge of the platform. Vorago will occasionally spawn Vitalis during this phase, STAND STILL, if you're able to mage Vorago, then the orbs will not hurt you! Vorago still makes use of reflects on this phase, so watch out! Once at the end the person with the Maul of Omens needs to use it on Vorago to deal the final finishing blow, then, following an awesome animation... Kill complete! :)
  22. Aiel's Tribrid EoC Dagannoth Kings Guide A note: This guide is intended for experienced players with high stats. Players new to hunting Dagannoth Kings may want to review a more basic guide first. Dagannoth King accuracy calculator and equipment comparison! Introduction The Dagannoth Kings are currently one of the most profitable bosses in the game to hunt. You can make as much as 10m gp per hour, as well as gaining a healthy chunk of combat xp for every kill. The Kings sadly do not drop effigies or charms, but they are more consistent and more profitable than GWD bosses, they offer a higher income than the Queen Black Dragon, and they do not require a team to hunt, as Vorago and the Kalphite King do. The Kings are located on the lowest level of the Waterbirth Island Dungeon. Lower levels of the Dungeon are beyond a set of doors, which require at least two players to open. During peak times, the 'Bursting lobs' clan chat can be used to find a door partner. During off-times, your best bet is to recruit a friend to help you open the door, or to pay someone you found in a popular chat. The path through Waterbirth Dungeon to the Kings can be seen on the map below. As a general rule, if there is multiple ladders, use the farthest ladder from the ladder you just came from. If you run past the final ladder, there is a spot you can rest and recover before jumping in to confront the Kings. Requirements and Recommendations The Dagannoth Kings are much more powerful than their combat level of 156 would suggest. All three can hit upwards of 1100 damage, very accurately, and naturally, each uses one of the three corners of the combat triangle, making it hard to defend against all three. This guide will assume that they have a defense level of 78. Stats printed in green are recommended, stats in red are required for this method. You are free to attempt it with lower stats or equipment, but results may vary and I'm not responsible for your inevitable and painful destruction. 99 Attack, Strength, Defense, and Ranged > 90 Attack, Strength, Defense, and Ranged 99 Magic > 92 Magic Overload potions (96 herblore, boostable) > Extreme potions (92 herblore, boostable) Pack yak (96 summoning) > War tortoise (67 summoning) > Nothing Turmoil, Torment, Anguish (95 prayer) > Soul Split (92 prayer) Drygore, Ascension and Seismic weapons (120m, 450m, 3000m gp) > Chaotic weapons, Royal crossbow Pernix (and Torva) armor > Death Lotus (and Tetsu) armor > Karil's (and Guthan/Verac/Dharok's) armor Fremennik sea boots 4 > Not Fremennik sea boots 4 Equipment and Inventory Inventory The inventory shown allows for a two hour trip, without requiring any supplies stored in the yak. For each additional hour you wish to stay, add 5 super prayer flasks, 2 overload flasks, 2 prayer renewal flasks and 1 yak. The first five slots in your yak should contain emergency food. Melee weapon and off-hand if applicable. Magic weapon and off-hand if applicable. Teleport to get to Waterbirth. Lyre may also be used. Blood and fire runes for casting Blood Barrage. Two extra pack yak pouches - they last for about 55 minutes each, and the first one will have about 45-50 minutes left when you reach the Kings. Winter Storage scrolls for banking hides and other drops. 4 overload flasks, 4 prayer renewal flasks - 24 doses of 5 minutes each. 5 super prayer flasks, 1 super restore flask - the super restore is needed to restore Summoning. Normal prayer flasks may also be used. 5 rocktail soups - emergency food. Equipped Items A numerical comparison of armor and weapons can be seen here. Weapons You will need weapons for each combat style, and they must be strong enough to kill the kings in rotation. That means main-hands only don't cut it. Melee - Drygore mace and off-hand mace > Chaotic claw and off-hand claw > Chaotic maul Ranged - Ascension crossbow and off-hand crossbow > Ascension crossbow and Chaotic off-hand crossbow > Royal crossbow Magic - Seismic wand and orb > Virtus wand and book > Chaotic staff > Armadyl battlestaff If using weaker magic weapons, make sure to use boosting prayers to compensate for the lower accuracy. Body and Legs You will need ranged armour regardless, because it offers good defence against both magic and ranged attacks, which are the two styles hitting you most often. Pernix body and chaps > Death lotus body and chaps > Karil's body and skirt Without the accuracy benefits of drygore weapons and overloads, you will have difficulty hitting Supreme in ranged armour. To compensate, if you lack drygores or 92 herblore, you should bring melee armour, in addition to your ranged armour: Torva platebody and legs > Tetsu platebody and legs > Verac's brassard and plateskirt Helmets, Boots and Gloves These items do not affect your accuracy, so they should be chosen to maximize ranged and magic defence. Pernix cowl > Death lotus hood > Karil's coif Pernix boots > Armadyl boots Pernix gloves > Armadyl gloves If you have a Dagannoth task, you should wear a full slayer helmet. If you have Fremennik boots 4, you should always use them. They note the Dagannoth bones drops and provide a 10% damage boost to auto-attacks. If you have one style that is of a lower tier than the rest, you can use your boots, helmet and gloves to somewhat boost your damage with that style. Rings, Amulets, Scrimshaws and Capes These should be used to maximize your total critical hit bonus and damage output. They also provide some prayer bonus. Onyx ring (i) > Sixth-age circuit > Dragonstone ring (i) > Tokkul-zo Amulet of fury > Desert amulet 4 > Amulet of glory Scrimshaw of the elements > Scrimshaw of ranging Completionist cape > Max cape > Ardougne cloak 4 Naturally, use superior scrimshaws if you have them. If you are new to hunting the Kings, you can bring a scrimshaw of vampirism to heal a bit more on Supreme, making use of your drygores. The effect is, however, quite small. A Ring of wealth should NOT be used, as it drastically increases the already common rare drop table drops, decreasing the drops you want (hatchets/rings). Aura Penance saves roughly 5 super prayer flasks in the hour it lasts. Vampyrism isn't very useful because you can heal enough with soul split, however you may be able to bring Vampyrism as a second aura to save on prayer, by not using Soul Split as much. Higher tiers of Reverence may also be useful for very long trips. Penance > Vampyrism = Reverence Fighting the Kings Your goal when fighting the Dagannoth Kings is to have only one King attacking you at any one time. This will allow you to heal entirely using only Soul Split. Ideally, each next king should spawn a few ticks after you killed the previous king. Spawn rates are affected by world population, so the world you use is important. I find that with maxed stats 300-500 world population works best. Since the Evolution of Combat, boosting prayers such as Turmoil have been weak. I only use them when two or more Kings are attacking me at once. The rest of the time, I only use Soul Split. When First Entering When you first enter the Kings' lair, you will be attacked by any Kings close enough to the ladder to notice you. In an ideal situation, this would only be Dagannoth Supreme, however this is rarely the case as Prime often wanders near. Your goal is to kill all three kings as quickly as possible, to attain a safe situation from which you can establish a rotation. This requires a little intuition on your part: How can you kill the kings, which have already noticed you, while avoiding taking damage from the others? If ONLY Prime is attacking you You will want to stay near the edge of the island and quickly move to its north-eastern edge. If Rex attacks you, there are many features around the edge of the island you can trap him on. You should attempt to lure him to one of these safespots without leaving the northern edge or getting attacked by Supreme. After killing Prime, kill the trapped Rex, then run back to the centre of the area and kill Supreme. If Supreme is attacking you: Because Supreme wanders near the centre of the island, you will not be able to stay near the edges, which makes you visible to both Prime and Rex. Kill Supreme as quickly as possible, as Prime and Rex will probably be attacking you soon. Safespot Rex on the edge of the arena near the ladder, and range Prime from this safespot. Once Prime is dead, mage Rex from the safespot. The kings are shown below in the order in which I kill them: Supreme Image courtesy of RuneWiki Dagannoth Supreme is the ranger, and therefore should be killed with melee. Your ability bar for Supreme should be: Thresholds should be used in the order: Slaughter > Assault > Destroy When you activate Slaughter, immediately move to stand under Supreme - do not wait for the Slaughter animation to finish. Supreme will walk to get you back in range, causing Slaughter to hit for triple damage. Supreme is immune to stun, so basics should be prioritized: Dismember > Sever > Kick > others Slice should be used between all other basic abilities. Supreme's primary worthwhile drops are Dagannoth bones, Yew logs, Archers rings, and Dragon hatchets. Prime Image courtesy of RuneWiki Dagannoth Prime is the mage, and therefore should be killed with ranged. Your ability bar for Prime should be: Thresholds should be used in the order: Rapid Fire > Bombardment > Snap Shot Prime is immune to stun, so basics should be used in the order: Binding Shot > Fragmentation Shot > others If you happen to be standing next to Prime when using Fragmentation Shot, you can walk under him in the same way as you did with Slaughter on Supreme. If you aren't already next to him, don't bother. Piercing Shot should be used between all basic abilities. Prime's primary worthwhile drops are Dagannoth bones, Earth and Water talismans, Seer's rings, Mud battlestaves and Dragon hatchets. Rex Image courtesy of RuneWiki Rex is the meleer, and therefore should be killed with magic. Rex is by far the most complex King to kill, but also the safest if done right. This is because you can avoid taking all damage from him, using a combination of Impact and Asphyxiate to bind him. The ability bar for Rex is: When you begin a Rex kill, you should have over 85% adrenaline. Your first move is to bind Rex with Impact, and jump out of his melee range with Escape. You should now have 100% adrenaline for Metamorphosis. After using Metamorphosis, gain adrenaline as quickly as possible, using the sequence Sonic Wave > Wrack > Combust > Wrack > Sonic Wave > Wrack. You should now have enough time remaining in Metamorphosis for a full cast of Asphyxiate. After casting Asphyxiate, rebind Rex with Impact, and finish him off with a combination of basics and Wild Magic. Rexs primary worthwhile drops include: Dagannoth bones, Berserker rings, Warrior rings and Dragon hatchets. Tips and Tricks Tip.it used to have a map showing the aggro range of Dagannoth kings- if anyone still has a link to this, I would appreciate it There is a summoning obelisk just upstairs from the Kings if you forget a super restore, the nearby stalactite is also a good place to log out. Try and fill empty inventory spaces with Shark drops- this will provide you with more emergency food. Your tip here! Credits Runewiki for providing images.
