Good evening and thanks for viewing my thread, As the title suggests, my laptop has been frequently shutting off without my permission. Now of course the power was not depleted nor have any compulsory updates forced it to restart. I have experienced this before in the form of the CPU itself overheating so the computer switched itself off but I can confirm that this is not the case in this instance. I tried performing a hard reset (where you disconnect the AC adapter, remove the battery unit then hold the power button to drain all electricity within the computer) and actually met a degree of success. However, when the Laptop was starting up again and showed the HP logo it died again. I am at a loss Tip.It users and am researching a solution now, any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hey everybody! My name is Christina (but my friends call me Major), and welcome to my blog! Here I will be tracking and recording my progress to max, comp, and/or whatever I choose to do. Also, feel free to ask me anything! A little about my Runescape journey.... I started playing in the summer of 2006 when one of my friends introduced me to the game. I got my first membership sometime in 2007, and I've subscribed and unsubscribed many times since then. I got my first 99 in 2011, almost four and a half years after I started playing. I recently came back to Runescape in January of 2014 after about a year long break due to some friends (new and old) trying to get me back on the scene. One of my friends who I introduced the game to was getting close to maxing, and I thought "If he can do it, so can I." I finally maxed on November 5th of 2014, and I earned my first completionist cape on January 31st of 2015. So, what do you guys think of the games we've had so far? There was some very interesting games that made this World Cup even more interesting. Spain got demolished! After they've won three major tournaments in a row, have they lost the determination to win this one as well? The Netherlands are all the more hungry though. I haven't really considered them a serious contender after 2012, but that match was amazing. A few other favorites haven't done quite as well either. Brasilia won, but without the referee's help that match might have looked quite different. Uruguay won't defeat them in their own stadium like in 1950 though, after their loss against Costa Rica they most likely won't make the eigth finals. England and Italy both were very good, even if Italy won it in the end. Personally I'm looking forward to Germany against Portugal of course. We haven't done so well in the last test games, but the first few opponents should be difficult, but not impossible, so we can get into the rhythm. I fear we'll make semi-finals or finals without winning just like the last few times, but we'll see. Also, what do you think of the referee's so far? Is it overdue for the FIFA to allow some kind of video evidence during a match? We got goal-line technology, but should it stop there after several controversial decisions this early in the tournament?

So I was checking something else on the web, and ran afoul of this... Gamasutra - GameSpy ceasing all hosted services this May (http://www.gamasutra.com/view/news/214700/GameSpy_ceasing_all_hosted_services_this_May.php) ...and this... Gamasutra - Devs, gamers angry over Glu's handling of GameSpy Technology (http://www.gamasutra.com/view/news/183309/Devs_gamers_angry_over_Glus_handling_of_GameSpy_Technology.php) ...and realized that every game out there that depends on the GameSpy MultiPlayer List Servers will be rendered unable to get players into multiplayer game rounds soon. A technology that's been around about 16 years (at least as far as I know), and now all of us gamers out there are about to have the metaphorical floor ripped out from under us. Maybe I'm crazy, but we didn't deserve to have this happen to us because a bunch of developers didn't pay their bills? And heck, what happened to advert support on the GameSpy websites handling server costs? At least, that's what I used to think was keeping them running. Oh well... There goes the ability for some games I play to be useful for anything more than single player. Yeah, discuss, obviously... ~Mr. D. V. "Tripping across the bomb-droppers..." Devnull (p.s.: I know I'm going to miss them, what about the rest of you?)

Hiya! I'm Sunny Day, I've been a tif lurker member for like 5 years, but never really posted much (hence my Chicken Feather status <3: ). I've been playing Runescape for what feels like forever but is nearly 8 years. This blog will sorta be about me getting 20m in stats, and learning to PVM once and for all. I'm actually really terrible at PVM it's not even funny... it's embarrassing. I'm starting out with 20mil+ xp in att, str, def, and constitution. Other than Runescape I'm 19 years old, I do go to Uni, currently on my first "break" without signing up to take classes. I was hoping to graduate in Spring '14, but life is cruel and it probably wont be till December '14 (still hoping for Summer '14 too), but oh well as long as I graduate. I don't really know how long it'll take to get 20m since I do have to study for exams and such, but I guess we'll just have to see :)

It has been almost a month since my last entry. Shame on me for being lazy. A bit of warning as this will be a big entry. So, what have I been doing these past weeks? Well... RuneScape Updates: A whole bunch of levels, and a few goals completed! Construction: 88/90 SC Hammers + Bonus XP Necklaces + Building Suit = Tolerable Skill. Hunter: 90/90 -Goal Reached!- Fishing - 93 Herblore - 92 2400 Total level achieved! Also: IT'S LEGIT! It now sits in my bank re-colored, preventing me from selling it. I thought about Keepsakeing it, but I still like my sunglasses. ____ Ports Update: My Port, as of March 10, 2013. Pincers Reached! All that is left is to collect trade goods and the blueprints for the armor sets. I still need Seasinger and Lotus plans, but I am in no hurry to get those. I am not into the scrimshaws, so I'll focus on Soup. 3x 10k Chime Captains, but this one is definitely my favorite: Captain Morgan! I wonder why... :> He does have another trait: Seafarer. ____ THE WORLD WAKES! *Warning: May Contain Spoilers* Although you will read on regardless... The massive amounts of lore made the quest worthy of the "Grandmaster" title. Combat in it was simple enough, but Kree's 1HKO and [NAME]'s healing sure did surprise me. I was glad that the puzzle was not like any of those puzzles in the EW (Elemental Workshop) Series, especially since Jagex said that it would be a starting quest-line. I was a bit disappointed that my choices did not alter the ending, although there were some dissent amongst some followers. Having said that, I am looking forward to the quest line and how all it unfolds. Is there a secret agenda, or will there be something more? ____ Real-Life Updates: Cyborg Ninjas and Markers Aside from RS, I rented two PS3 games to see if they were worth paying 60 US dollars for them. Both of them were quite fun, but each had their drawbacks. Cyborg Ninjas- Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance I like the Metal Gear series, although the only games I have played from it are MGS3 and MGS4. I have yet to complete MGS4, but I'll get around to it sooner or later. -Story & Graphics- Revengeance sets a few years after MGS4 and follows Raiden in his quest to stop a PMC (Private Military Company) that takes children of third-world countries and transplanting their brains into cyborg bodies to train them into soldiers. Raiden, being a cyborg soldier himself, connected with the children on a personal level. He was trained to kill when he was very young, and he did not want what happened to him happen to anybody else. With his High-Frequency Katana in hand, he sets out by himself to kill those who ran the operation. Vengeance. The thing that saddens me is that this story is short. Seriously short. I clocked my time in about 6 hours. I have researched someone going in at 4 hours. This span is much shorter than another game I played with a short time- God of War (roughly 13 hours). The Graphics in this game are kinda bland in color. Very detailed characters, boring-ish settings. The cut scenes were superb though, as if they spent more time on the story than the actual game itself. (It kinda shows too :/) -Gameplay- Because I had to return the game earlier, I did not get to finish it. However, I did get to the final boss, so I guess you can say I have beaten it? Anyways- Gameplay is quite fun! I loved that you could slice up your opponent into bits. The fast-paced action and the blood-pumping music really meshed nicely. It was a nice change of pace from the usual sneaking mission in the other games. You could, potentially, sneak by them... but I keep failing and end up fighting the enemies anyways. The layout is a bit odd, since you do not have a guard button such as L1 or R1, but a combination of Left Analog stick and Square. This made it a bit difficult at first trying to get the timing down, but this setup made the mechanic somewhat broken. Square is a light attack, Triangle is a heavy attack. Combos are there, sure, but the guard and light attack setup is the only thing you would need to breeze through fights. (Bosses are different, to me at least). Smash Square and flick left analog to auto-block attacks and set up finishers in seconds. I love it still though, despite the "broken" setup. -Overall- MGR is a nice take on the MGS series, with tons of action and beautiful (yet difficult) bossfights, I would be playing this more if I had the time to play it again. Is it worth the sticker price? No, not really. If it makes it to the 20 bin, I'll pick it up to have some Ninja Fruit fun. :D Watermelons are my favorite. Markers: Dead Space 3 This game took me out of my comfort zone a bit since it has some horror elements in it. I am not a fan of zombie killing games, such as Resident Evil, so I expected something similar to it. To my surprise, there was not much that shook me. -Story & Gameplay-

Okay so, I kind of love this sport and wanted to share it with Tip.It and as hoping to find some other players who played airball/xball/megaball and others. Kay, so yeah. All things paintball and airsoft can go in here... So a few things about paintball; There are a few ways to play it. So I'm gathering some of this information from Wikipedia, so all credit to them for typing all this correct information for me :D Speedball is one of the three distinct game variants in the sport of paintball, woodsball and scenario paintball. It is a general term for a game in which the playing field is composed of bunkers, of the same location and number on each side of the field, that provide an equal playing field for each team competing. It was created in this way to give a better format for competitive paintball, both in playing and viewing the games. Picture of a speedball field below. http://upload.wikime...edball_game.jpg Speedball is a team game, and can be played recreationally or professionally; with tournaments usually specifying teams of three, five, seven, and even ten players. The game is characterized by a small symmetrical playing field, filled with artificial terrain (such as inflatable bunkers), and a game time of several minutes. The fields for major venues are created on the computer. http://ifragpaintbal...layout-2011.jpg Get all your great paintball videos here! http://www.paintball...ideo-on-demand/ Woodsball/scenario ball: Woodsball (also known as woods paintball, hillball or bushball) is a format of paintball gaming, in which players compete in a natural outdoors area (contrasting with inflatable bunker-based Speedball format) using paintball markers to tag opponents. It is recognized as the first format of Paintball ever played, and is often used in conjunction with Scenario paintball, allowing players to enact parts in a story or historical battle. This is due to its effectiveness in allowing players to simulate military situations using realistic weaponry and equipment; all of which are customizable - allowing each player to fulfill a tactical role. The types of games playable are infinite, and include mostly capture the flag or elimination.

I made that thread in the forum and it was closed by a pmod who wrote: Quick find code: 285-286-393-64371896 I can't see a single ethnic minority person in any video (I haven't seen them all so I might be wrong). But even so, why aren't there more ethnic minority people employed by Jagex because surely they must get many applicants from all backgrounds (and for job applciations in the UK you are required to provide your ethnicity (as far as I am aware). This is NOT a thread about positive discrimination. It is really a question on are there just not enough ethnic minority people capable in programming applying for Jagex or is there really indeed some form of institutional racism going on? What do you guys think? Please keep this civil and for heavens sake, any mod, just don't close it. This is a genuine question and I think it is a question that should be asked because I for one do find it amazing, having lived in London, that very few or indeed no one of ethnic minority is employed by Jagex?

Shots were fired from a US owned Blackhawk chopper in Miami last month into crowds of innocent people. Perhaps it'd have been nice to know these bullets were actually blanks and were part of an elaborate "training exorcise". Is this a heavy handed (and non chalant) nudge for the public to "get used to" heavy military presence? Are we training our military to invade/capture first world cities? What are we prepared for? What do they want us to be prepared for? And more importantly, how many bricks would you shit if you saw military choppers flying at low altitudes, laying down heavy machine gun fire in your home town?

So, last night I send a ship out for a scrimshaw scroll piece. I've had 4 or 5 missions including that one, 1 I tried a t 82% but failed. This time, using a bit of boost I got 90%. This morning before heading off to work I got some good news. [hide][/hide] Yeah man, you know what that means...onwards to 85 fletching. Current levels stand as such: [hide][/hide] In other news, a side from a Spanish test that was easier than I expected, today I went to a career fair. In my never ending quest to secure a future I put my pride and crappy GPA on the line. Yeah, I know my GPS is horribad, but considering how much work I did to bring it up, and my major GPA of nearly a 3.1, I thought I had a chance. I saw about 6 companies there who either encouraged all majors to apply or were looking for economics majors. Capital One went as expected so I intend to apply online with them. Chase/J.P Morgan shot me down quick due to my GPA but that's okay. I dislike them anyway. Northwestern Mutual, Huntington Bank and Enterprise Holdings seemed really relaxed so I'm glad I take to them. They took my info said I'd be contacted in a few days if I qualify, and encouraged me to apply online. I'm hoping Northwestern turns out good s they are in Chicago and are close to what I NOW KNOW what I want to do. Later today I went to my Undergraduate Economics Society meeting where they had two people working in the Baird regional private wealth management firm come by (President is their intern). And you know what...I was really happy I went. The guys who talked to use were really friendly and fed us a lot of important information. And they helped me distinguish a lot of the job out there in the investment industry. After the meeting I asked the older gentleman a few questions and he gave me a business card. Now more than ever, it is time to start networking. Chase shooting me down without any consideration hurt my confidence, but by talking with the rep from Northwestern Mutual, going to my UES meeting and learning that I wanted to be a private wealth manager, I've got some of my confidence back. I plan to learn a bit of networking (to refresh my memory of course) and keep in contact with this guy to try and get my foot in the door. And with a bit more confidence I feel more prepared for next week's career fair (unless chase is there :-|). Welp, until next time.

Levels of the Week: 94 Woodcutting. - Skoll Boots + Citadel Woodcutting plot = Yum XP. 14/50 SC Hammers for 90 Construction. Working on saving Hunter pots for Draconic Jadinkos. Recently, the time that I log in RS is at Ports. I just haven't given the rest of RS a lot of attention, especially if I want to max by the end of next year. However, I am excited for the Desert diaries, especially after watching the Behind the Scenes video they made. It is kind of funny that the video says they go through an ongoing process of testing the game and fixing bugs, yet we as players find more bugs than the team does. I know that they work hard to make the content, but it seems that most content is rushed and not ready for public abuse. (See Construction Glitch/Bug for further details.) PORTS Update: Tetsu Plate Scroll Acquired! Now I am working on the helmet - 2/4 (with one on the way! *fingers crossed*) I did get a few plates from some regular and whaler voyages. Sadly enough, I need a few more to even get enough for helm, let alone the whole set. I read around and it seems that the end storyline quests offer you some trade goods as a reward. I failed a 2 Ancient Bone voyage at 80%. I was kinda bummed because it took seven hours to do it. Such a waste of time. Oh well. :P _________________________________________________ SKETCH ENTRY Update: With all due respect, I think I will not post my works on this blog, but rather in my Gallery Thread. http://forum.tip.it/topic/265107-sketch-dumps-and-more/ Comments/Critiques appreciated! ~Echocut *EDIT!* I thought my Sketch Dump thread was in The Gallery part of the Forum, but it is actually in the RS Media. Should I ask for a move or do some RS Art for next time? :?

The rest of the article can be found here: http://www.theatlant...ons-law/267247/# I think this presents an interesting idea in terms of the bot makers Jagex prosecuted. If something like this is to go through, even though its in the states, it redefines the way you can handle things. And truly making bots and the like is breaking the ToS, "No foul" has truly happened to Jagex, they mess up the ingame economy but that doesn't hurt Jagex as a company. Unless you can argue that they have lost customers but I'm not sure how that would hold up.

Hey all! Partaxx here, with a new song up: Cave Background Remix! For those of you that may not recognize the name, it's the song from the mine underneath Falador; one that I'm sure holds a special, nostalgic place in our hearts from days of old. Here it is: Let me know what you think! This is a new kind of thing for me, having incorporated actual instruments and vocals into it. Also, a while ago, I posted up links to a few remixes I did on this forum. I got some great feedback on them, so I decided to do it again! There are 3 mixes here: A Daemonheim Rendition This one is a complete overhaul of the Daemonheim music, also currently the main theme of RuneScape, with realistic instruments. It's a little slower, and a lot more powerful. It took a few days but I think it was worth the work and it was a lot of fun. Let me know what you think of it! Port Sarim Remix I had techno remix in mind when I started this one. Port Sarim is the place I would always seem to be when I was a noob way back in the day. I think it turned out pretty well. Spooky Remix I began this one with the intent of doing something similar to A Daemonheim Rendition wherein I would recreate it realistically, but it quickly switched courses and became its own thing. I really like the way this on turned out. I would especially love feedback on this one. Well, there we have them! I hope you all enjoy! Thank you so much for all the support through the past few months, and thank you in advance for any feedback on these!! If you guys like what you hear, please consider liking my Facebook page at www.facebook.com/PartaxxMusic! You will be updated there whenever a new song is put out! Also you can follow my blog and other things at my website: www.PartaxxMusic.com! Partaxx
