Starting with what's clearly the right place to start this sequence: 0 Okay guys, but like, you understand this is a bad thread, right? This was kindof a joke where I'd make a bunch of bad threads that were just variations of the counting game, and they would be just as boring as the count to 30k game, and just as redundant as the count down from 10k game. And yet, people continue to post in this stupid ass thread. Like. [bleep]. This is a bad thread guys. Play in the good forum games, ffs.

Greetings! I just got back to playing runescape 3 weeks ago from being a newbie. I saved up 10m for this thing they call "bond" now it has an option to "change character name" or become a "member" and getting "runecoins" right? I was wondering, I logged on to runescape website then it says there i can only change my character name if im a member. If i use the bond for 14 day membership will i still be allowed to change my character name? or not? from, mr. boomtastic

Hello, fellow 'TES 3: Morrowind' players! Sadly, I'm a bit of a newbie, so here's what happens to be bothering me... I'm trying to start the 'Imperial Cult' quest, "The Haunting", assigned by their 'Shrine Sargeant', 'Kaye'. He's telling me that he's giving me 200 gold to use, but I get neither an entry in the current dialogue or the 200 gold in my pack in addition to what I have already. :-k I've already tried referencing at least two wikis, including the UESP's @ http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:The_Haunting, Google'ing and DuckDuckGo'ing the hell out of the internet, and asking someone in real life already. :uhh: The question therefore to all of you is this... Is there anything I'm totally unaware of that could/would result in this issue suddenly happening? :wall: I'll be waiting for any/all of your feedback/questions in regard to my weird problem. :^_^: ~Mr. D. V. "I am totally stumped right now." Devnull (EDIT: p.s.: An auxiliary question for you... Why in the 'Imperial Cult' faction does it not provide an easily visible way to get new quests without having to allow it to rank you up first?)

I just found out that a friend of mine has been banned from 2007RS. His name doesn't show up on the hi-scores. When I last spoke to him, he was aiming for 99 woodcutting. Now that I think about it, I suppose he used a bot to gain the levels...that's the only reason I can think he was banned. I went with him on a trip where he was cutting yews, though. Funny, 'cause he complained about the bots there. Pot calling the kettle black, much? He also told me that he got 99 wc on three other accounts. This didn't raise an alarm in my head. But he never complained about the work...so I suppose he used a bot, for those too. I was wondering where he was for the past two weeks...now I know. It's a shame. :( He was fun to talk to.

House Divided, a relatively new clan started and ran by a 10+ year veteran, accepting new members who are looking for a family oriented, rule following, no restriction type home. As the clan leader, I am still learning all there is to know about clans, and how to run one. We have 7 members to date. Looking for other like minded people who are looking for a clan they can call home. A clan that they can let there children be a part of and not worry about anything improper happening. There is only a couple requirements, and they are, follow the rules of RuneScape, and be considerate of others within the clan. I will be accepting members through this forum to start with, and then expanding from there. I would like help within the clan, and only ask that you contribute with whatever knowlegde you may have, and do your part within the clan. If something like this is to go through, even though its in the states, it redefines the way you can handle things. And truly making bots and the like is breaking the ToS, "No foul" has truly happened to Jagex, they mess up the ingame economy but that doesn't hurt Jagex as a company. Unless you can argue that they have lost customers but I'm not sure how that would hold up.

So I got banned for macro goldfarming back in September partially due to the faulty bot detection system that banned over half the RS population... but wait a minute, people are STILL getting perm banned from this system? This is so laughable, flawless bot detection system you say? Then why is RS still run rampant of bots and innocents like me get not one but THREE goldfarming ban messages in a row? I've had enough. I just don't feel safe playing this game anymore. It's as if Jagex WANTS to ban me. Holy shit. And I thought I had hope in EoC and the new updates. I guess not.

Hi, I am wartec. I am here to introduce myself and respond only to questions on based on this same topic and the tags I manually added. We all should already know the rules. I say this only to give a suggested added criteria for the questions that might me asked as follows: There is no such thing as a stupid question. Yet there is such a thing as an offensive question I will ignore any and all questions I deem offensive by simply not answering them. Otherwise all standard rules outlined by the staff of tip.it is enforced without any effort on my part so Lets begin. I simply hope for the best.

Thread escalation plz. =D> "Give me something to believe in 'Cause I don't believe in you anymore, anymore I wonder if it even makes a difference to try Yeah, so this is goodbye" ~ "Makes Me Wonder", Maroon 5 As some of you may have known, my main account, Mister Sonic, was banned yesterday due to being falsely accused of "macro goldfarming". However, the fact that I don't even use something as simple as mousekeys pretty much means I have never touched a bot in my life. This really made me wonder, what circumstances had happened that caused me to receive the permanent ban? It just doesn't make sense, someone with a 0 blackmark history shouldn't be instantaneously skyrocketing to permban status. So I came up with a bunch of crackpot theories... 1. Jagex did a massive IP sweep for those living in the China region. As we all know, China is infamous for its gold selling on many MMORPG's everywhere, with even more crackpot theories like 24/7 sweatshops or farming on 8 accounts at once. Unfortunately most IP's in China are shared (ever wonder how the Great Firewall of No Facebook/Youtube/Twitter stopped nearly everyone in China from accessing those sites?), and I happen to share an IP from a gold farmer near my region. 2. Jagex may presumably be undergoing another experimental mass-ban which caught a few innocents along the way. Remember the repeatedly spying on a penguin glitch? Which caused like half the community to be banned? I'm thinking that something similar to this is happening to Botany Bay. And somehow, just somehow, I accidentally got caught in the net. 3. Jagex focuses on heavily botted training areas first. Well, the 2 days before I got banned, I was trying to get 89 mining at LRC, which just so happens to have MILLIONS of bots training together at the same time. Probably a WBM or someone similar decided to do a report sweep of everyone he/she sees at the botting site. --- Of course, these are just all theoretical WMG's (Wild Mass Guesses, que TVTropes :3). Seeing how I got banned in the most senseless way, one really gets suspicious of what REALLY goes around when Jagex said they have an "improved" bot detection system. Because if it starts tripping up some false positives, there is already a mechanical flaw in the system. Thoughts? Agree or disagree? You can pass me off as being a whiny permbanned noob, I don't really mind :P

Recently, I had to endure a forum vacation, but that is not what this thread is about, this thread is about where they sent me. When I awoke, I was in a nice clean white room, with nice looking people, they were all acting surprisingly nice to me, they told me about the alternative, where most players sent on vacation are sent, a grueling jail where they are forced to do hard labor, but they said "I was a lucky one." One of the nurses smirked after that was stated, I didn't think anything of it. They told me I would be doing a test, to help better player behavior and perhaps end what they called trolling. They called it the Ludovico treatment, yelps addition. I was given a delicious breakfest, pancakes, with bacon, along side of orange juice. They then told me about the test, they said, all we are going to do is to have me watch a movie. I was first injected on what they would call awakening potions, to ensure I don't fall asleep doing the presentation. They strapped me in, and strapped my eyes open, to ensure I wouldn't miss any of the movie. The movie started, the first scene was about a SOF thread, which was considered spam, they showed me the replies throughout, it was at this point, I started to feel horribly ill, I hadn't realized the "awakening potions" they injected me with was actually some sort of medicine meant to induce sickness. I screamed to stop it again, but they would only turn up the threads reading in response. This procedure continued for 12 more hours, one of the last scenes showed for that day was a hang yelps thread with the "Rainbow Trololo Theme" playing, "I screamed, how could such lovely music be mixed with such violent pain?" By then I realized what the injection was. The doctor stated "I don't know much about music, aside that its great for influencing emotions, but you seem like you would be a strapping young man if you weren't against SOF updates." I screamed, "but SOF updates are causing RWT! They are allowing us to practically buy gold!" The doctor stated, "In due time, you will see the error your way, but I will have you know, that these updates are hurting actual RWTers buisness. Don't forget we are not RWTing as Jagex is not a 3rd party company." The movies ended, and the pain finally wore off, they said, "You have made progress, but we shall continue the treatment tomorrow." All I could think to my self is that I had to endure more of this wretched treatment. They served me dinner, It was an odd one to say the least, it was Cotton Candy Strings, with uncooked apple pies. Odd, but I was just delighted to finally be away from the treatment. I went to bed soon after. Later that night however something odd happened, I heard a thread about the problems of Sgs, I had no medicine injected in me this time, but I felt the same type of pain as if I was injected, I didn't understand what was happening, I fell out of bed and started to scream. Eventually the reading stopped, I thought I heard a laugh, but It was likely my imagination. I went back to sleep, undisturbed. The next days treatment was very similiar, I had to endure the same pain, as the first day of treatment, It was horrible, as usual, however, after the treatment was over, just thinking about negativity against the SOF caused great pain, I was confused. The third day came, and they told me, there will be no injection today, they had some special guests this time as well, Mod MMG, Mod Mark, Mod Emily, and a few forum moderators were all their to witness my third and final day of treatment. The doctor told the moderators about the treatment. He stated "With it, we can ensure all trolls become passive, and we can ensure that the 10% who don't already support SOF, will now support it! The doctor was excited. He mentioned also about the medcine injected into me, and how I would no longer need it, and because of that trolls, as he called them, could now be controlled. The treatment started, I started to feel the intense pain again of the last two treatments, but realized what has happened, I realized the treament was sucessful, and I could no longer state my opinions about SOF. I was no longer a free man. I began to cry in sheer pity. The Mod MMG, and the rest of the Jagex staff who attended were quite excited. The Forum Moderators were disgusted, one passed out, another one began to cry, realizing that they may have gone too far, Jagex reassured they were doing fine. As the proceedure continued, the Forum Moderators left the the room, while the Jagex Moderators watched in excitement. The procedure finally ended. Mod MMG, then asked, "I see this works very well, but how much will it cost?" The doctor stated "It is cheap as can be, with it, we shall ensure no troll will troll our forums ever again!" Mod MMG, and the other Jagex Moderators looked satisfied. The doctors then released me out onto the forums again, where I tell my story about where I was taken during my forum vacation.

I am drawn to a 1880s setting. Guns are reasonably uncommon, as are Cars, but can be acquired. Also the Tavern has something against Archers, so maybe Gunmen will be more tolerable =P Magic would be Esper and Artifact based. The Esper Magic itself is reasonably weak...Flame Magicians = Able to produce a candle flame. In game terms this means level 2-2.9 costs 0.2 per 0.1, level 3-3.9 costs 0.3 per 0.1, and so on. Each player gets a level 1 power at the start of the game (For instance Candle Flame, Ice Nail, Rock Knuckles) and most NPCs will have some limited form of Magic. Only Magic would be handled through the Nimbus system (Minus Parity Levels), everything else goes through the traditional Dungeoneering system.* Artifacts can be acquired and produce singular effects, depending on the magic type being used. The Artifacts tend to be the size of buttons and tend to be mounted on weapons, clothes or, for the magically enthused, wands/staves. A typical artifact might be 'Firey Sphere'. For Fire/Pyro mages this would produce a flaming sphere at double (Up to a certain point, 7, for instance, decided when the artifact is created) their level. For Water/Hydro mages it would produce a steam cloud at their level. For Electro mages it would produce a flaming sphere that erupted lightning bolts, at their level -1 (Since Fire and Electricity don't exactly work together =P). The setting, beyond the general era of 1880-1889 is undecided. We could do Victorian London, or City-X, or the area around Caster in that era. We could use something like the Meritocracy that was discussed last night, with Magic being the Governing power, or the Quisitor of Caster, or Impertor of Priest Town, or Stovepipe hat wearing politicans. We could do Air/steamships, or the exploration of the African Interior. I am open to most things...as long as they explained in a manner I can understand. *Leveling up for most skills will be through the traditional Dungeoneering system of 'You do a task and you get better at doing that task.' For Magic you would set yourself a task, for instance "Travel to the Tailors and buy a pair of Goggles", I assign a difficulty rating, and if you complete the task then you gain points that you can spend to increase your magic skill. You can then spend skill to gain powers. These Powers may affect artifacts, reduce modifers or add new effects to your spells. In all skills each full number(interger) value increases your rolls by 1. Levels are capped at 20. Alternatively you can spend the points gathered to tailor a quest/task. For instance you could spend 4 points to buy a chance encounter with a bard, who tells you of a secret tomb containing the Artifact of "Force Shield". Essentially you give me an outline of a quest and I fill in the details and run it. Finally, for an increasing cost (1.0 for the first, 2.0 for the second, and so on) you can buy 'feats' which have a very wide meaning and needs to be nailed down. The game will be using Aspects and Fate Points. Please consult: http://www.faterpg.com/dl/sotc-srd.html for additional ideas, the system explained below is just my interpretation, I am willing to modify that if the changes make sense. In summery: An Aspect is a character Trait, for instance "Tyrant" "Coward" "Muscle-Bound" "Genius", etc. They are the traits that make up your character. Using an aspect adds 5 to a single roll, or allows a re-roll on things covered by that trait (since I am doing the rolling please tell me when you are using a +5 BEFORE I roll.). For instance "Tyrants" would be better at intimidating people or commanding troops, or counting gold. "Cowards" would be better at running away/dodging attacks, etc. Either of these uses 1 Fate Point. Aspects which have negative connotations, for instancy Tyrants being unable to show mercy, or Cowards who can't fight particularly well, gain 1 Fate Point when their aspect gets in the way. They actually have to get in the way to give you Fate Points, you can't simply start a fight with a mouse then not show mercy/be afraid of it. If I intervene on behalf of an Aspect, aka you are about to let another party member walk free, but you are a tyrant, I will take over your character, but give you a fate point. If you then attempt to free them straight away you will be warned, if you persist lose all of your fate points. Freeing them later, when your character has had time to reflect, is fine. Aspects are decided at the beginning of the game, 2 by you, and then 2 by another person(randomly selected) and 1 by me. Along with the 'Blurb' of your life, as explained below. At the end of a 'bought' quest you can change 1 Aspect(Character Growth), or by spending 5 of your Fate Points a (randomly selected) person can replace one of your Aspects(Epiphany). Plot Aspects, for instance 'Adept of the House of Tarsus' can be changed to reflect story development. Feel free to add these sorts of aspects in character creation. Naturally extreme derpery when selecting other people's traits will result in someone else picking them...For instance selecting, for Mather "Afraid of Science" or "Mortal Phobia of Ice" for Retech. The Aspects you select for other people should develop the character based on what already exists. The Blurb of your life should be just that. You write one to three lines on where you grew up, what you did as a child, etc (It is assumed everyone will be approximate 22-27). The person who choses your other aspects then writes what you did in the last 10 years or so. I then write what you did in the last two months or so, leading up to the present moment. I will take any comments you want into consideration. ...Simply I will add an event that causes everyone to meet up for one reason or another, as well as extricate people from any long term jobs they may have had. Skills: You are level 1.0 in your magic/-mancy skill. This is set in stone and cannot be changed during creation. If you wish to not have magic then simply don't add this skill, you can choose a magic later, if you change your mind, but will start at 0. You can select: 1 skill you are at 10.0 in. (46.9) 2 skills you are at 5.0 in. (22.8) 3 skills you are at 3.0 in. (12.6) 4 skills you are at 2.0 in. (8.4) 5 Skills you are at 1.0 in. (5.0) (warning, convoluted/confusing rule system follows, using this is NOT advised.) If you want to customise this list then 0.0-1.9 costs 0.1 per 0.1. 2.0-2.9 costs 0.2 per 0.1, and so on. The bracketed values are the totals for each catagory. This is only used in character creation. This should sum to 95.7. The highest level you can reach is 14.1 at 94.7. Obviously be reasonable...If you were the assistant to Hiram Maxim, who died under mysterious circumstances, and left you his Maxim Gun then there will be fallout from that. Likewise if you are an Artifact Thief, hence you have 20 Artifacts, there will be a lot of fallout out from that. However all stories will have 'fallout', so don't ask 'How many artifacts can I have without getting fallout?' And don't be afraid of fallout. If you are a nobody, who never did anything with their life, and is basically boring as hell, then your adventures will be boring =P Death usually resolves as a 20 minute timeout. If you break a law that would see you arrested for more than a month, then you are skulled. If you die while skulled you move 1 step along the permadeath route. Going 30 Minute time out, -10.0 Points(not skills) then Permadeath. So 3 strikes and your out. "Damnation seize my soul if I give you quarter, or take any from you!" - Captain Blackbeard ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~The few survivors make it to shore~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Whether it's been hours or days since the battle, you can't really tell. Slowly, one violent coughing fit or ragged breath at a time, the sea water begins to vacate your lungs and the memories begin to return to you. Yes, there must've been a battle. The blood stains on your sopping wet clothing can attest to that. Through one way or another, you've made it from the battered remains of the sinking ship to land and now it's time for rest. Your mind begins to wander in sleep... Captain Frega's ship was the most feared vessel known in the Inner Sea region. Its complement consisted of 250 experienced and fearsome pirates, as well as nearly fifty siege weapons, including twenty "dragon cannon" smuggled from distant lands. Captain Frega had terrorized the region for nearly three hundred years and was featured in local legend; his frequent raids on towns even up to ten miles inland made sure that those legends would never die. Nor did he die; one of the secrets that he trusted only to his crew was that he was actually a lich, something that granted him eternal life and allowed him to safely navigate the eye of Abendego, a massive permanent hurricane that only the greatest of sailors have ever survived. He had attracted the attention of powerful adventurers and archmages that sought to end his terror through epic campaigns, but he always returned, with a new ship and a new crew. Although dissuaded by the high mortality rate and the fact that the employer was an undead monstrosity, for one reason or another, you were accepted and joined his crew (already an achievement) and served under him in some capacity, although given the crew's massive size and experience, it was unlikely that you made it far up the ladder. The ship's success once again attracted the attention of lawful authorities and an entire fleet was dispatched to deal with the problem. The ship hid in the region's natural coves and ports, but with the help of other pirate captains that sought amnesty from the authorities or were jealous of Captain Frega's success, the fleet found and chased the ship into the open ocean, where in a fierce naval battle, Captain Frega's ship was destroyed. Not once did the fleet attempt to grapple or board the ship, so fearful they were of fighting the legendary pirates in hand to hand combat. The fleet scoured the waters for survivors and killed them before returning home. Except, you did not suffer death, but something much worse for a pirate. Poverty. The fine clothes and fine wine and fine women (or men) seem like a distant memory now. Instead, the only thing that you wear are bloody rags, the only thing you've had too much to drink of is sea water, and the only thing getting in your pants is sand. Out further along the beach, someone is waving to you. Could it be...another survivor? You stumble your way towards them. ----- Hopefully that provided enough background information for the most part. This campaign is set in the inner sea region and part of the Arcadian sea. Further details can be found on the Pathfinder wiki or by asking me. The general cultures are the same as in the Golarion setting, but the actual area that this takes place is my own creation. Creation Rules: Level 6 1st party Pathfinder SRD sources + Dreamscarred Press Psionics allowed (case by case for other things) 1 bonus skill point per level to be put into either swim or survival skill 25 point buy 2 hero points It would also be cool to add backstory, to help me and others to get to know your character better. Some possible questions that you might answer: Where did you come from and how did you end up with Captain Frega? What position on the ship did you hold/what was your role? How did you manage to survive and get to land? And any other information that you'd like to add, but I'm sure that we will get to experience your character's personality first hand once we start. The only thing is that you are PIRATES. Given that, it is probably not wise to attempt and play a paladin, as you will probably lose your powers pretty soon from looting and pillaging (or letting others pillage while you stand by and do nothing to stop them). Also, if you would like to play an unusual or hated race, that is fine by me. It may poison your interactions, but you are already murderers and that will probably lead to some prejudice already. In a society where strength is the only thing that counts, maybe it wouldn't be as much of an issue to be an orc. Also, the captain was an undead monstrosity, so you're probably in the clear there.

As part of our recent forum upgrade, we have added a filter that only allows the posting of images from specific image hosts. The reason we made this change was not to inconvience you, but for your protection. Without the filter in place it was possible to host an image on a private website and harvest the IP addresses of everyone who loaded the page with that image on it. Because of this we decided that the extra security of whitelisting image hosts was necessary when we gained the capability to do so with the recent forum upgrade. We have already added most of the major image hosts to our whitelist and are constantly watching for more safe hosts that people regularly use to add to the list. That being said, we don't think of everything and there might be an image host that you want to use that we just don't know about. If you have an image host that you would like us to look into, please post it on this thread and we'll take a look. However, we will NOT be allowing personal websites for the reasons listed above.
