  1. Hello everyone! I am writing this post because i'm curious as to why the new, ( Smithing & Mining ) update has not been added to this website! I have been a faithful user of this website since i was 10! (15 years). I do not think i have ever waited this long for new content to be added! If anyone knows why the new, ( Smithing & Mining ) update has not dropped on this website yet then please feel free to let me know! thanks a million i love all you! Out of all the games i have played throughout my 25 years of playing video games I can honestly say that the RuneScape community is one of the, 'LEAST TOXIC' of all time!!! So thanks again Everyone i will appreciate any info i can get on this!!! <3<3<3
  2. Evil Dave | Winter Weekends What an exciting week lies ahead! We’ve got the Winter Weekend, the Festive Aura, the Ribbon Rework and the release of our new, eagerly-awaited Evil Dave quest. Speak of the devil… Dave, we’ve talked about this. What do you want? I’m trying to work, Dave! Can’t you see I’ve got a news post to… You can’t just… Yes of course I know about Zamorak! Give that back! Give it back right now! Give me th... Hey! Adventurer! It’s me, Evil Dave! Crazy news - turns out ZAMORAK is back in town (who knew, right!?), and I need YOUR help to conduct the RITUAL OF ULTIMATE DOOMLY EVIL to make him notice me. You’ll find me at the Basement of DOOM - beneath my mother’s house in Edgeville. I’ll explain the whole thing there. You’ll need to have done my section of RECIPE FOR DISASTER and be a member with at least level 30 in herblore, magic, agility and cooking. Oh, and you’ll need to be EVIL! Mod Scorpio’s giving me an EVIIIL look, so I’d better relinquish my dominion of the KEYBOARD OF CHAOS. See you in-game! *ahem* Combat Winter Weekend The first of the Winter Weekends will soon be upon us! Get in game between the 1st at midday game time until the 4th of December (again, midday game time) for the following boosts: An extra charm from charm dropsIncreased chance of rare drops and enhanced ring of wealth+50% bonus Slayer XPSlayer VIP Ticket status for all Slayer assignments+50% bonus anima in Shattered Worlds - NEW!10% cheaper instance feesThe ability to loot from Mazcab Raids once per dayExtra training points from Boss TrainingThe ability to choose your Boss Slayer assignment - NEW! Check out the schedule for subsequent Winter Weekends throughout December and January. Menaphos and Sophanem will take the stage the following weekend, and after that minigames, skilling and lastly clue scrolls. On top of that, bonuses for Player-Owned Ports will be running for the entire five week duration! Expect to see: 25 voyages per day instead of 15+ 30% extra resources or trade goods from voyagesThe ability to get The Barmaid's special voyage on Saturdays and Sundays (in addition to Thursdays) Festive Aura Feeling festive? During December, members can activate the annual Festive Aura for 30 minutes once a day for a 50% XP boost - plus a winter wings cosmetic! This should appear automatically in your inventory. However, if your inventory is full, you can still claim the Festive Aura by speaking to Xuan or Dilwyn - located east of Burthorpe Castle and in the Tower of Voices in Prifddinas, respectively - opening up their shops and taking a look at the auras. Premier Club & Solomon's Store Sale Want exclusive content, VIP treatment and supercharged membership - all for less than the standard membership price? Patch Notes - Ribbon Rework Mod Hunter’s made a number of handy tweaks to the ribbon. What a legend. The window can now be resized and now adds space between iconsThe following windows can now be added to the ribbon: magic abilities, combat spells, teleport spells, skilling spells, attack abilities, strength abilities, defence abilities, constitution abilities and emotes. This is now easier for us to do, should we need to add more. The following features have been added to the ‘Ribbon Setup’ interface:You can now reset your ribbon to the default icons or clear it in one goIcons added to the bar are now removed from the selection areaSpacing has been improved for the ‘Ribbon Setup’ interface and the Options Menu. A section for window management has also been added to the latter.Of the two windows labelled ‘Magic Abilities’, the main has been renamed ‘Magic Book’ and been given an icon to match.Melee and attack abilities now have separate icons (melee uses crossed swords). The ‘worn equipment’ icon has been changed to distinguish it from the ‘hero’ icon. The drawer icon has been replaced with a settings cog to make room....Thanks Mod Hunter! To ensure that these changes have had the desired effect, they will now be tested for new players, half of whom will see the existing, unchanged setup while the other half are exposed to the above. You can read the full list of this week’s updates - including optimisations resulting from some fancy new dev tools - on the patch notes forum thread. MWAHAHAHA! Evil is the BEST! [spoiler=Patch Notes] Ribbon Rework A number of improvements have been made to the ribbon: The window can now be resized and now adds space between icons. The following windows can now be added to the ribbon:Magic abilities (abilities only)Combat SpellsTeleport SpellsSkilling SpellsAttack AbilitiesStrength AbilitiesDefence AbilitiesConstitution AbilitiesEmotesAdding future windows to the ribbon now requires significantly less work. The following features have been added to the ‘Ribbon Setup’ interface:You can now reset your ribbon to the default icons or clear it in one go.Icons added to the bar are now removed from the selection area.Spacing has been improved for the ‘Ribbon Setup’ interface and the Options Menu. A section for window management has also been added to the latter. The spacing on the options menu (escape key) has been improved. A section for managing windows has also been added.Of the two windows labelled ‘Magic Abilities’, the main has been renamed ‘Magic Book’ and been given an icon to match.Melee and attack abilities now have separate icons (melee uses crossed swords). The ‘worn equipment’ icon has been changed to distinguish it from the ‘hero’ icon. The drawer icon has been replaced with a settings cog to make room.Alongside these changes, we’re also running tests on the tutorial. Half of new players will get the existing tutorial unchanged, while the other half will start with only the settings button on the ribbon, with the inventory, skills and worn equipment windows opened as they’re first seen. These players will also have the default set of buttons activated after the tutorial, where we hope to see players having a less confusing experience and, as a result, fewer players dropping out. Optimisations We’ve been using some new tools to track which scripts are running in the client in certain situations. Using these, we've been able to identify unnecessary and/or expensive code, investigating what these scripts are doing and then optimising where we can. The benefits should affect everyone, but will be more noticeable on lower-end machines. Changes include: Bank Client-side spoofing tries to predict what will happen and helps make the bank seem more responsive. When spam clicking to withdraw multiple items, this could get out of sync and cause a well-known ‘tab flickering’ bug. Changes have been made to reduce the likelihood of this error occurring. The way the icons are built when the bank is loaded has changed. This means items should no longer 'pop in' when scrolling through. The efficiency of individual scripts has been generally improved.Measure have been put in place to stop the interface from repositioning everything when no changes have been made to the inventory.General improvementsIn historical cases, and especially on first login, window positioning may have occurred several times. This should now only happen once.By deleting permanent interface components and only building them when required, almost 1,000 components no longer use memory constantly.Several scripts run every client frame, for purposes such as controlling animations. These run in the background even when you’re doing nothing, and we’ve made several changes:Overall, we’ve reduced the run-time of these passive scripts by almost 95%.Global transparency was using these scripts, and accounted for a large portion of this. We’ve changed the way it’s implemented, but unfortunately it means we can no longer use the current setting, so all transparency will be set to the default of 50% on login.Several features such as loading screens now stop running these scripts when turned off.Bugs have been fixed which allowed some of these scripts to keep running after they were meant to be finished.Loading screensAfter detecting that the game is loading, there is now a half-second pause before triggering a loading screen, avoiding unnecessary loading screens such as when going through doors in barrows. The loading screen now has a disable button, saving new players from having to locate it in the settings menu.Skills, D&Ds and MinigamesUnstable essence has become (slightly!) more stable. For example, it will now show as Runecrafting in the Make-X interface rather than Cooking. It is no longer possible to summon pets inside the Dungeoneering grouping areas.Quests, Challenges and Achievements: Completing the One of a Kind quest now shows the correct task complete message.OtherPerfect dragon scales (for Vannaka's Slayer challenge) no longer try and drop on non-member worlds.A large number of optimisations have been made to the toplevel interface.Various optimisations have been made to the bank interface.Members can now remove the Extras icon on the ribbon interface.
  3. Dimension of the Damned Pit yourself and your friends against the undead in Dimension of the Damned and compete for the unique title of King/Queen of the Damned and a host of prizes - the ultimate PvM challenge. Start the one-hour timer using your HUD in-game and rack up points while slaying as many zombies as you can to secure your place on the leaderboard. You can restart the clock to improve your score as many times as you’d like. The top 1,000 players after ten days will make it through to the finale on the 28th for the chance to win a selection of sought-after prizes, including (but not limited to) lifetime membership, an all expenses paid trip to Jagex and 200M GP. Need-to-knows Dimension of the Damned is PvM only, even in the Wilderness. All players start with maxed stats and starter gear. Catching Zombeism from bites saps your health, but you can stave off the effects by taking antidotes and/or consuming modified shrimps prior to battle. These (and other useful items) can be obtained from Zkrik’s shop in Falador using bottle corks. You can also get them from supply drops, but you'll only have three minutes to find the crate. Falador is a safe space where the dead don’t rise. You’ll be escorted back there by white knights if you become inactive, and you’ll respawn there if you die. However, players with Zombeism can’t pass through the gates. Banks across Gielinor will be open for use. Space is limited though, and you’ll have to pay for it in bottle corks. You can read about the rules for the finale here. The chance to compete for a place in the Finale ends in ten days, so don’t delay. You’ll also be able to see how the Jmods fare in Dimension of the Damned during Tuesday’s live stream! Details below. 5. Invention Batch 2 Launch Recovered from Double XP Weekend yet? Not so fast. Invention batch 2 launches today, so there's oodles still to sink your teeth into. Invention Batch 2 Make way, make way! Invention batch 2 has arrived, and with it, some eagerly awaited additions and tweaks to our youngest skill. Let's start with the big'un: machines. Brand new to Invention, these can be used to automate a selection of tasks slowly over time, even while you're offline. All you need to do is keep your generator topped up with divine charge. Talk about AFK. You can have up to six of these – including duplicates – and each has two tiers. Plus, you'll get your own workshop to tinker away in, which can be found in the new room at the back of the Invention Guild. Here's what's on the menu: The Alchemiser, which bestows your items with the gift of high alchemy, turning them to gold. The Auto Disassembler, which breaks down your items into useful parts and components. The Plank Maker, which turns your common or garden logs into beautiful planks. The Partial Potion Producer, which whizzes up your herbs and pops them into vials. It won't make a complete potion, but it's a welcome time saver. The Automatic Hide Tanner, which...yeah, you guessed it. It tans your hides to make leather. Salivating over your keyboard? There's more... We're also introducing 12 new devices, many of which fill the post-level-99 gap rather snugly. At the risk of further whetting your appetites, here's a sneak peek: The Separator, which removes gizmos from your equipment without damaging it (equipment must be at least level 15). The Divine-O-Matic, which harvests energy – and memories if you're so inclined – while you train Divination and turns them into Divine Charge, which you can use to power your shiny, new machines. Another thing: we've nabbed the Spring Cleaner and the Tight Springs from Treasure Hunter and added them to our growing device range. Both can be constructed at an Invention workbench – but first you've got to discover the blue prints! What else is there? Well, Invention batch 2 comes with a plethora of benefits for high level augmented items – including drain rate reductions and, at level 20, an increased chance of perk activation. Plus, we've had our ears on the ground, and we've taken on some of your suggestions and made some important QOL tweaks: We've removed inspiration. Gone. Finito! Augmentors are now tradeable. You can now hide the cogs on your augmented equipment (outside of PvP, anyway). We reworked the 120 Invention emote to make it harder, better, faster, stronger. Don't worry, it hasn't escaped our notice that all this is happening after Double XP Weekend. You'll still be able to get the 50% XP boost from blueprint discovery for the next two weeks. Patch Notes The patch notes for this week are on the lighter side as the team has collectively focused on delivering Invention batch 2. You can read them in the patch notes thread. Enjoy! We hope you enjoy your new playthings. Now go get tinkering! The RuneScape Team Live Streams This Week Each week we live stream Q&As, in-game events and more. The Ninjas have also expanded the range of dyeable items, and there's a suitably sunny selection of wonders in the patch notes. Read on! Build the Beach How to Start Speak to Reyna in Lumbridge Crater Requirements None Reyna's tried to bring beach building into the Sixth Age with some innovative magical automation, but it's all gone a bit awry. She could really do with a hand. Gather sand as you skill and kill around Gielinor (with a better return from Mining or Construction), then hand it in to Reyna at the crater. You can also spread out the sand at the crater itself - just watch out for the magical anomalies running wild around the area! You can unlock a new five-piece sand outfit – the perfect match for the sand cape from previous years (also available if you don't already own it). You can also earn the ring of sand, which will give you the beach body you've probably never dreamed of. You have until 23:59 UTC on 31st July to gather up sand, although the rewards will remain available until 23:59 UTC on 2nd August. 14. The Magister | High-Level Slayer Boss Menaphos is the definitive 'Scaping destination this summer, and that's never been truer than today, with the introduction of The Magister – a high-level Slayer boss – and a great swathe of quality of life updates based on your feedback. The Magister How to Start Find a key to the crossing as a drop in the Sophanem Slayer Dungeon Find and activate the soul obelisk within to summon the Magister Requirements 115 Slayer (can be boosted) Access to Sophanem Slayer Dungeon (requires Icthlarin's Little Helper) RuneScape membership Deep within the festering heart of the Sophanem Slayer Dungeon lurks an evil unlike any you've faced before: a sinister necromancer known as the Magister. This is a solo-only encounter, so it's a true test of your combat knowledge and skill. Tool up with your very best gear and head into the murky depths to face him – if you dare. Next up are the Gloves of Passing, monstrous melee mitts with tier 85 stats. Also I would like to have a fill in blank box for double experience to calculate for a specific amount. For instance if I have 50,000 double experience in smithing, I would like to know the exact amount bars to make/buy for the exact amount of experience.

  21. BTS March Video here: Youtube HD Video - This video will cause high CPU usage, to view the video in a lower quality, please click . Edit: It looks like embedding won't function properly at this time, please click here to see the BTS video. The Month Ahead - March 2017 Mod Osborne's here to tell us what's in store for March. After a pretty darn enjoyable Games Jam over the Double XP Weekend, we've focused March's updates on the stuff that was dreamed up over that period. A common thread is that they're all updates to things you play and enjoy every day. Luck Rework No longer will the ring of wealth or luck potions be your only way to modify how lucky you are in the game. We are adding 3 new rings that can affect bosses, clue scrolls and some skilling activities, with the top-tier ring involving level 107 Invention and a new gem – alchemical onyx - to create. More bosses have been added to the list of things that luck can affect, so raids and battles against foes like Telos can be more lucrative than ever before. You'll also get increased chances to get those really desirable items when solving clue scrolls, and increased chances to get a whole bunch of other things across the game, including Seren Necklace symbols, Black Ibis and more! Arc Improvements The Arc is set for some improvements too, with extra features for Alaea crablets and the Arc Journal, alongside the all-important addition of new rewards, like the High Armour of Hanto, and its related weapons. We're also making some changes to your main game screen, splitting out buffs and debuffs so they can be more easily managed, and you can see exactly what's affecting your play as you take on the challenges of the world. We've taken your comments on board and added more buff and debuff icons, like Dreadnip timers, stun immunity and Excalibur cooldowns, and added more buff icons to appear on NPC health bars for even clearer feedback. Pet Interface Additions There's improvements to the pet interfaces too, adding some of your favourite inventory based pets so you no longer need to go back to your bank to access them. And... More Skilling Outfits Obtainable In-Game We're also making 5 more skilling outfits available outside of Treasure Hunter, a very useful range of gear that adds XP gains to a range of different skills. So, if you have a few pieces you haven't quite managed to find yet, you'll be able to by playing a range of different in-game activities. Look out Divination, Cooking, Summoning and Prayer outfit opportunities soon. The 5th skilling outfit is a special elite shark outfit, similar to the gemstone golem and rune ethereal outfits already in the game. You'll need to find its fragments using the fishing skill, and then piece them all together with an invention blueprint...eventually leading to the elite fury shark outfit – the ultimate in fishing attire. For those of you still waiting for the perfect name for your character, you might get lucky this month as we release another batch of old, forgotten player names back into the mix. Zamorakian Event In other news, the twin furies are sending their agents back to Gielinor to bring Zamorakian defectors to justice! Check out the event shop and ingame skilling opportunities for Zamorakian Marks, tradeable for some fierce cosmetic outfits! Lumbridge Crater: Reclaimed Finally, that nasty old crater to the west of Lumbridge has finally been reclaimed by the forces of nature, with lush plant life erasing the battle scars of the past. And the duck pond is back! Yay! Have Fun! Have fun with that lot. The Game jam really produced some great ideas, thanks so much for getting involved – we couldn't have done it without you. This means the rest of the development team can focus on the big updates coming up in the next few months. Shattered Worlds, Menaphos and the new Achievement system are looking great, and I can't wait to see them in game. Mod Osborne What is a Behind the Scenes article? Behind the Scenes is a sneak peek at the planned game updates that we hope to launch in the coming month. This, however, is only a plan - not a promise - that a particular update will be released in a particular way or at a particular time. To get you the highest quality updates as quickly as possible, we usually keep on tweaking and testing right up until the moment before release, so sometimes things change or take a bit longer than expected. We aren't afraid to change our plan if necessary, as we will never launch an update before it is ready. Looks like some solid updates, personally looking forward to see how this luck revamp will pan out, and adding the potential to earn more skilling outfits outside Treasure Hunter is a big plus, even if I likely won't use them too much.
  22. Deathbeard's Demise | Hati, Sköll & Fenrir Return Pirates and Fremennik ahoy! We've got a thoroughly seaworthy event and the return of Hati, Sköll and Fenrir for your RuneScaping delectation this week. In other news, there's an awesome competition kicking off, seeking the perfect name for a new primate pal. Read on! Deathbeard's Demise How to Start Speak to Deathbeard, south of the Lumbridge Crater. Requirements None Captain Deathbeard's all washed up on the shore south of Lumbridge Swamp. He's clawed his way out of Davey Jones's Locker and is determined to scrape together enough cash to rebuild his beloved ship. Until 30th January, you can help him out by collecting up to 1000 phantom doubloons per day though skilling, killing, Daily Challenges and Treasure Trails. You'll get a better drop rate (+20%) if you're training Agility or Thieving. As with the Fallen Nihil event, you can up the daily cap or buy more with RuneCoins at the booster shop, accessible via the Seasonal Event tab on the Social interface. Hand them in to Deathbeard each day and unlock Deathbeard's swashbuckling pirate outfit – plus a phantom variant – and a cannon pet. Deathbeard'll stick around for a further 14 days after the event before he heads back to terrorise the Seven Seas, allowing you to unlock rewards or hand in any excess phantom doubloons for mystery boxes. Ironmen will be able to participate in the event and unlock the outfit and pet, but won't be able to open mystery boxes, or convert excess doubloons into mystery boxes post-event. Hati, Sköll & Fenrir Return The legendary winter wolves are back once again, and there's XP aplenty for RuneScape members who help drive them off. If you've never fought the wolves before, speak to Vali or Vithar near Rellekka in the Fremennik Province for the full story. Each wolf is a tough opponent, but you can team up with surrounding players to take them down. Everyone who contributes has a chance to receive their own reward. Hati is found in the woods south-east of Relleka, and can drop Hati paws – cosmetic gloves that yield Bonus and regular XP in your choice of combat skill when clicked. He can also drop a cosmetic cloak and hood, if you're yet to earn those.Sköll must be summoned by adding logs to the bonfire, west of the Rellekka entrance. Once 120 logs are added to the fire (including all players on your current world) Sköll with emerge. Take him down to earn normal and Bonus XP in Agility and Woodcutting, plus a cosmetic amulet.Fenrir lurks south east of Rellekka near the Golden Tree. Victory awards Fenrir's Fang which, when used, grants XP and Bonus XP in either Herblore or Summoning. You can also earn cosmetic chest and leg gear.Eir's Gear Valkyrie Eir is not only convinced that the world is going to end, but has also misplaced her helmet and spear. Defeat Hati or Sköll - or harvest enriched wisps at the colony south-east of Rellekka - for a chance to get one of these items. Repeating these actions will get you duplicates, so to collect the set you'll need to: Get two of one type of item (helmet or spear)Trade with another player for the other. Then, speak to Eir by the Golden Tree for normal and Bonus XP in your choice of Prayer or Divination, plus cosmetic overrides of Eir's helmet and spear, if you don't already have them. Please note that Ironman players will receive only normal XP from this event – no Bonus XP. Arrr/Skål! Have fun with this week's pirate and Fremennik double bill, 'Scapers. We'll see you in game! Starting with what's clearly the right place to start this sequence: 0 Okay guys, but like, you understand this is a bad thread, right? This was kindof a joke where I'd make a bunch of bad threads that were just variations of the counting game, and they would be just as boring as the count to 30k game, and just as redundant as the count down from 10k game. And yet, people continue to post in this stupid ass thread. Like. [bleep]. This is a bad thread guys. Play in the good forum games, ffs.

The new Hunter’s outfit, available from the rewards vendor in Waiko, adds 6% XP to your Hunter training and can also stack with yaktwee stick for a total of + 11% XP. If cosmetics are your thing, collect orokami masks as drops from their namesakes in the Uncharted Isles. These are tradeable outside of the Arc, too. There is also a new Invention blueprint in the Waiko reward shop. Get yourself enough currency and purchase the plan for a crystal siphon which lets you siphon crystal tools as if they were Tier 90 equipment! New messages in bottles await discovery too, with the chance to grab the title the Castaway when you complete them all. Additionally, there is a new Arc Discovery Journal which replaces your Waiko tourist brochure if you have it. Fill it out and earn rewards in the process. Do this by talking to the various Arc NPCs who will send you off to find and catalogue the various creatures and plant species that inhabit these strange lands. As you go, you’ll get XP lamps, as well as aforementioned Farming XP that is up for grabs for foraging mushrooms and berries. A bird pet is up for grabs too for finding all the journal’s birds. We can’t wait to see what else you discover! If you didn’t have a Waiko tourist brochure, pick up the journal from Sharkborne on Waiko. Getting around in the Eastern Lands is also easier than ever. From today, supplies are cheaper (as low as 10 chimes each if you have all the upgrades), allowing you to more easily access the Uncharted Isles. With today’s update you will find you have 50 free supplies from Rosie the Chandler. After this, Rosie will continue to accrue 5 supplies per day, holding a maximum if 50. You no longer need to check back with her every single day – you can simply pick them up when you want to. We’ve also introduced up to 20 customisation slots for your own island. Decorate until your heart’s content or consider adding the mysterious new tortle portal – charge them up, add one or several to your island, and see where they can take you. Additionally, there have been tons of balance improvements and general changes to the Eastern Lands. Check out Mod Shauny’s handy mega-thread for a full list of these. As always with the Eastern Lands we want this to be as much about what you discover and unlock as possible. Let us know your feedback on the forum. Enjoy! 25. Behind the Scenes - October You want to know what's coming out in October? Did you mean Arctober? Yes, me hearties, this month is all about the Eastern Lands! Four new islands to visit, a bevy of rewards and even birds to spot, all in the glorious name of completing the Arc region. For the rest of the month, we stray into other waters. Have your timbers thoroughly shivered by our Halloween event. Swash your buckles with the final, definite, cross-my-heart-and-hope-to-die launch of Bounty Hunter. And keep your hoard safe in Customer Support Week. The Arc – Chapter Two So, let's start with the Arc island chain, and a glorious thing it is, squarely answering your feedback on the Arc Chapter One. It's full of fun training, killer rewards, and more stuff than you can shake a Yaktwee stick at. Here's the whistlestop tour: Four new islands in the form of Tuai Leit, Goshima, the cyclops island ofCyclosis, and the sullen Islands that Once Were TurtlesSeveral miniquests, during which you'll scuttle the fabled zombie ship, the HarbingerHigh-level Divination and Farming training methods, with Divination offering best-in-skill XP ratesAn Arc journal with pages of birds and impling-like kami to tick offUpdated contracts from Sojobo, with more skills covered and better loot from NPC marks Most importantly, there are the improved and expanded rewards that you've been demanding since the first visit to the Arc: A bone picker upgrade for your bonecrusherTier 85 boots and gloves that will supplement Ports armour with a set effectNew divination scrimshawsA crystal tool siphonA particularly awesome-looking Hunter outfit, giving +6% to Hunter XP and stacking with the Yaktwee stick This is all coming into port on the 10th of October, and we'll be celebrating with some permanent changes: a free ticket to large islands as a drop outside of the Arc, free supplies on your first visit, free flags, reduced costs for the better Uncharted Isles and rarer resources on those same islands. That's some of the best rates of XP. Halloween But, if you're a little sick of colour and daylight, then close the curtains, let the darkness in, and enjoy this year's Halloween event. We'll be chucking you through a dimensional rift so you can re-enter the twisted world of Dimension of Disaster. Here, you will find Dr Fenkenstrain, who is taking the Invention skill to pretty disgraceful lengths. If you've got the stomach(s) for it, disassemble dead people and bring horrific animated creatures to life! The event will run for two weeks, giving plenty of time to collect its macabre rewards, including a pet and a flashy lightning rod conductor hat. This little treat won't actually require Invention, and will be available to all - so free players and members alike will be able to create their own zombie monstrosity. Bounty Hunter Worlds But where might you get an influx of bodies from? How about Bounty Hunter? After being delayed from September, it's coming in October! If you're unaware of what Bounty Hunter is, it's a hardcore PvP minigame where you're assigned another participating player as a bounty target and asked to hunt them down - but it makes you their target too. The new Bounty Hunter aims to make PvP a viable, endgame moneymaking method. We also plan to knock you out with the range of rewards on offer – brawling gloves, patches to upgrade your ancient gear to tier 88, Crucible weapons with tier 87 stats and brutal special attacks...and much more. Customer Support Week To be confident that you can enjoy everything in October, we'll be giving you incentives to make your account rock-solid during Customer Support Week. During this week, you'll encounter Count Check, a vampyre who vets your account for correct setup of security measures, and rewards you with lamps – giving you yet another reason to ensure you're protected. He's got a couple of events to get involved with: a special edition of The Drop focused on security, and a free clue scroll every day for both free players and members. Level up your account security now, because it all kicks off soon with additional free Treasure Hunter Keys every day for people who have secure accounts. Solomon's Store and Treasure Hunter To round out October, we will be bringing an elite skilling outfit to Treasure Hunter. There's a running theme with this outfit: get 7% additional Dungeoneering XP, 7% extra XP on all skill nodes, 7% damage boost in dungeons and 7% discount at the Dungeoneering shop, to name a few. Plus, there's the Walk Like a Zombie event, which rewards ghoulish tasks around the world with rotten zombie outfits. My favourite part? You can use the outfit to bite other players and infect them so they, too, stumble about like a zombie. Finally, for those of you who buy certain RuneCoin packages on Solomon's Store, we will be offering you a spider-related outfit and a pet as a cheeky little extra. Enjoy! There should be enough meat on October's bone to keep any zombie enthusiast happy. And make sure you take a trip to the Eastern Lands this month – there hasn't been a better time to embark on the Arc.
