  1. Hello everyone! I am writing this post because i'm curious as to why the new, ( Smithing & Mining ) update has not been added to this website! I have been a faithful user of this website since i was 10! (15 years). I do not think i have ever waited this long for new content to be added! If anyone knows why the new, ( Smithing & Mining ) update has not dropped on this website yet then please feel free to let me know! thanks a million i love all you! Out of all the games i have played throughout my 25 years of playing video games I can honestly say that the RuneScape community is one of the, 'LEAST TOXIC' of all time!!! So thanks again Everyone i will appreciate any info i can get on this!!! <3<3<3
  2. Before April gets busy with the launch of NXT and the vampire finale, this week has a smattering of helpful little improvements that make life in Gielinor sweeter. 3. There’s some Sliske business going in Gielinor this Easter – are you brave (or hungry) enough to find out what the malicious Mahjarrat is up to in his newly built chocolate factory? Also, gear up for the Chronicle open beta by taking part in a special event this week with some fantastic rewards. If you get a spare moment, check out the rogue outfits in Solomon’s Store too! Sliske and the Chocolate Factory This event is open to both free-to-play and RuneScape members. Sliske has set up a chocolate factory in the Empyrean Citadel for unknown reasons and is providing tours to lucky winners via rare chocolate butterflies that appeared alongside the yearly ones that arrive in memory of Guthix. Catch the last chocolate butterfly, get its golden ticket, sneak the Easter Bunny inside the citadel and investigate a factory filled with singing bobble-numbskulls and puzzles. What’s Sliske up to? Will the other tour winners be safe without your help? Will there be any mysterious "accidents" in the factory? There is only one way to find out - grab the ticket, take the ride! How to Start Head over to the Burthrope lodestone and speak to the Easter Bunny. Then, catch the last chocolate butterfly to receive a golden ticket. This will teleport you to Sliske’s Chocolate Factory. Rewards A unique emote, an everlasting gobstopper (has some interesting effects when used!), the ability to catch 5 more Guthixian butterflies per day, and 3 parts of the event can be dismantled to create component bags for Invention. These can be claimed by anyone, even free-to-play players, and will wait until you are eligible to start Invention. Keep an eye out for this week’s Treasure Hunter update which has a fun new format inspired by Guthixian butterflies and some awesome butterfly-themed rewards – let us know what you think! Chronicle Open Beta Celebration | Book Companion Pet The whole of Gielinor is gearing up for the open beta launch of our collectible card-game, Chronicle: RuneScape Legends on 23rd March. From now until 4th April, get in game and look for characters playing Chronicle on special tables. Near them will be a Gorajo hoardstalker with a special gift for you – a Chronicle book companion pet. “Read” your book pet and answer a new Chronicle question each day for 14 days. Correctly answering all questions will grant you either prismatic star or lamp. You can also use your book pet to “play” Chronicle. This starts a special animation and gives you a 5% XP boost for an hour. You can do this as many times as you like during the event. The pet must be active or used as a familiar override for this to work. We hope you have fun joining us to celebrate the important moves that Chronicle is making! Ironman players can answer questions and earn a lamp (but not a star). Ironman players are unable to receive the XP buff for "playing Chronicle" with the pet. Plus, you'll get your own workshop to tinker away in, which can be found in the new room at the back of the Invention Guild. Here's what's on the menu: The Alchemiser, which bestows your items with the gift of high alchemy, turning them to gold. The Auto Disassembler, which breaks down your items into useful parts and components. The Plank Maker, which turns your common or garden logs into beautiful planks. The Partial Potion Producer, which whizzes up your herbs and pops them into vials. It won't make a complete potion, but it's a welcome time saver. The Automatic Hide Tanner, which...yeah, you guessed it. It tans your hides to make leather. Salivating over your keyboard? There's more... We're also introducing 12 new devices, many of which fill the post-level-99 gap rather snugly. At the risk of further whetting your appetites, here's a sneak peek: The Separator, which removes gizmos from your equipment without damaging it (equipment must be at least level 15). The Divine-O-Matic, which harvests energy – and memories if you're so inclined – while you train Divination and turns them into Divine Charge, which you can use to power your shiny, new machines. Another thing: we've nabbed the Spring Cleaner and the Tight Springs from Treasure Hunter and added them to our growing device range. Both can be constructed at an Invention workbench – but first you've got to discover the blue prints! What else is there? Well, Invention batch 2 comes with a plethora of benefits for high level augmented items – including drain rate reductions and, at level 20, an increased chance of perk activation. Plus, we've had our ears on the ground, and we've taken on some of your suggestions and made some important QOL tweaks: We've removed inspiration. Gone. Finito! Augmentors are now tradeable. You can now hide the cogs on your augmented equipment (outside of PvP, anyway). We reworked the 120 Invention emote to make it harder, better, faster, stronger. Don't worry, it hasn't escaped our notice that all this is happening after Double XP Weekend. You'll still be able to get the 50% XP boost from blueprint discovery for the next two weeks. Patch Notes The patch notes for this week are on the lighter side as the team has collectively focused on delivering Invention batch 2. You can read them in the patch notes thread. Enjoy! We hope you enjoy your new playthings. Now go get tinkering! The RuneScape Team Live Streams This Week Each week we live stream Q&As, in-game events and more. 14. Raptor's Challenge | Wyverns Every week throughout November, we'll be releasing a new high-level monster – fresh from RuneLabs. Each one's a fitting challenge for the most masterful of slayers among you and has some truly epic loot to claim. This week's monsters are wyverns: the still-living forebears of the Asgarnian Ice Dungeon's skeletal monstrosities. Risk the cold, resist their potent poison, and claim the level 85 wyvern crossbow – which has a damage-over-time passive effect and accompanying bolts. In his ongoing quest to take down Gielinor's biggest game, the Raptor has set himself up south of Port Sarim as a slayer master for the month of November. Slayers of all levels can take a daily, level-appropriate assignment which grants double Slayer XP. Impress him over the course of the month for a Raptor-themed cosmetic armour set. Read on for further details, or play now! Where to Find Wyverns Head deeper into the Asgarnian Ice Dungeon, past the skeletal wyverns Requirements You must be a RuneScape member 96 Slayer is required to damage the wyverns 100 Combat is required to be assigned wyverns by a slayer master Other Information Very high combat stats and your best gear are strongly recommended Wyrmfire potions will be a big help Wyverns are the first of four devilish new beasts that we're unleashing from RuneLabs this month – thanks to Anarchy Time for the awesome concept. Head far into the frosty depths of the Asgarnian Ice Dungeon and you'll encounter these primal reptiles. Their massive poison damage can be mitigated the chillier you get…but cold comes with its own risks. You're on your own from here – it's down to you to work out the optimal wyvern-whacking technique, and to claim the wyvern crossbow from their corpses. This wicked level 85 two-hander has an awesome passive DoT effect, so it can really crank out the damage. Look out for the matching bolts, too, to make the most of the mighty weapon. Wyverns can be assigned by Kuradal, Morvran and – during November – the Raptor. Note that once the month is up, the wyverns will remain – they're a permanent fixture. Finally, while you're on a wyvern assignment, watch out for the first part of a key to open Raptor's chest. The remaining parts are to come when the other monsters are released. How to Start Raptor's Challenge Speak to Raptor south of Port Sarim Requirements You must be a RuneScape member Other Information Ironman players can take part Some specific limitations, listed below Throughout November, Raptor will give you one slayer assignment per day. The enemies assigned by Raptor are the same as those assigned by other masters, and will be appropriate to your level. They also award double Slayer XP. Raptor's assignments have a number of differences, as compared to regular ones: Social Slayer does not work when requesting an assignment from Raptor. Assignment of enemies cannot be preferred, blocked or guaranteed using items or slayer point rewards. Slayer helmet damage and accuracy effects do work, but the helmets have no interaction with the Raptor gem. Slayer Tower contracts are prioritised over Raptor's assignments for the same creature – pausing the Raptor version - and Raptor's assignments cannot make you eligible for special contracts. Kills on a Raptor assignment do not count towards Slayer daily challenges, but do towards combat ones. Raptor's assignments do not give a guaranteed elite mob spawn, but can spawn elites through random generation. Other slayer masters' wyvern assignments do guarantee an elite spawn, as normal. You can have an assignment for Raptor and for a regular Slayer master at the same time, although these will not be for the same enemy. If there are no alternatives, the regular assignment will be prioritised and your Raptor assignment paused. Once you have completed 15 Raptor assignments, you'll unlock a menacing set of Raptor-themed armour. This'll have a bloodthirsty twist – an improved appearance unlocked by slaughtering the new high-level monsters. Details on this – and more rewards – to come later in the month! Enjoy! Enjoy your wyvern wrangling this week, and start showing the Raptor what you're made of. Look out for a new monstrosity to tackle every week of November. 15. The Invasion of Falador | Event & Graphical Rework The Black Knights of the Kinshra have launched an all-out assault on their rivals, the White Knights of Falador. For two weeks, the two orders of warriors will go head-to-head in the streets of Falador. Pitch in, pick up some unique rewards, and bask in the glory of the city's graphical rework. There's also increased loot from the Giant Mole, and greater XP and respect gains from Artisans' Workshop. Read on to find out more! How to Start Visit Falador and take part in available activities Requirements None When you arrive in Falador, you'll find it in turmoil: clashing knights, duelling champions, mighty war machines, wounded soldiers...and the occasional balloon drop from Party Pete, who wishes everyone could just get along. The invasion will last for two weeks, and during that time you can get involved in a number of ways. Note that there is no requirement to pick a side: you can help or hinder whomever you choose, at any time. We'll announce the winning side once the two weeks are up. To start, simply visit Falador and get stuck in. You can perform any of the following activities and earn XP: Fight White Knights, Black Knights or duelling champions | Combat XPSabotage catapults | Construction/Woodcutting XPHeal injured soldiers | Herblore/Constitution XPPerforming any of these actions – or popping balloons – yields Falador commendations. These stackable units of currency can be converted – by the hundred – into supply caches, which yield XP lamps, resource bundles, and sometimes unique rewards – including fragments of a cosmetic banner (displayed in the wing slot), bobblehead pets and more. Other Attractions While engaged in activities in the city, you'll inevitably pick up some lost research notes, which are the first step on a lore-rich miniquest around the city. Also, a couple of the city's mainstay attractions are more rewarding for the event's duration: Defeating the Giant Mole gives double drops (separate rolls)Artisans' Workshop gives triple respect and 50% more XPGraphical Rework The White Knights – and the city of Falador itself – have been graphically overhauled, bringing them in line with the rest of the game's level of polish and art style. Be sure to explore the city – before and after the event – and take in the sights. Enjoy! Get stuck in and enjoy the event, and let us know what you think over on the forums. 18. Ninja Update – Return of the Wildywyrm The Wildywyrm is back! Lured by the deaths of her new lava strykewyrm cousins or summoned from the depths by JMods, the Wildywyrm is a hard target for level 94 Slayers. Wyrm slaying can yield all-new weapon modifications, used in the creation of level 85 weapons with unique mechanics and special attacks. There are high-level ashes and food items to be looted, too. Read on for more information. Conquer a Wyrm Lava strykewyrms now roam the Wilderness, south of the Lava Maze. These beasts are assigned as Slayer targets by Kuradal or Movran, but can be fought off-assignment too – just make sure you've the 94 Slayer needed to kill them! They're formidable foes, fighting with all three combat styles and deadly AoE attacks, so come packing the best gear you can afford to risk. Each time a lava strykewyrm dies, there's a small chance that the legendaryWildywyrm herself will emerge. Larger and far more deadly than her kin, you'll need a team to take her down. Look out for global announcements to find out when the Wildywyrm spawns, then head over and help out. Note that JMods have the ability to spawn the Wildywyrm, should they wish – watch out for her at JMod-led events! Rewards Lava strykewyrms and the Wildywyrm can drop some highly lucrative loot. Note that while the Wildywyrm doesn't drop anything that the lava strykewyrms don't, she has a better chance to drop rarer rewards, and everyone who participates in her demise gets their own drops. Three new weapons modifications are the big draw here. These items can be used to upgrade commonly used weapons into mighty level 85 weapons with unique special attacks: Lava whip: this searing scourge is made by combining a wyrm spike with anabyssal whip (or vine whip/whip vine). It special attack drags your target toward you – across any obstacle that doesn't block range. We're looking forward to the wicked tactics you devise for this!Staff of darkness: combine a wyrm heart with a staff of light and get this malign magical weapon. It has all the benefits of a staff of light with level 85 stats, plus a special attack that absorbs and reflects 25% of incoming damage for 20 seconds.Strykebow: the result of a wyrm scalp and dark bow combined, the strykebow is a real master's weapon. It has a passive ability to store up damage received and release it in an extra attack with every 5 auto-attacks or 15 abilities you fire off. Plus, there's a special attack which increases and unleashes the bow's stored damage as a quick damage-over-time effect. These three weapons have a new degrade mechanic, too. Each lasts for 10 hours of combat, and is destroyed when it degrades fully, returning the spike, heart or scalp to you. You can repair one of these weapons by using its base item on it (which repairs it by 20% for the whip and bow, and 50% for the staff). Alternatively, create a new one when it is destroyed, using the returned modification item on another weapon. As well as the weapon modifications, the wyrms can also drop the following: Searing ashes give the best Prayer XP of any ashes in-game – only a little less than burying frost dragon bones. These are a guaranteed drop, so Wildywyrm hunting should always be a profitable endeavour.Fury sharks heal up to 2475 life points in combat and up to 2800 out, and will protect an additional item on death for 1 minute (although not more than the five-item maximum).Enjoy! With aggressive combat familiars, demonic titles and much more up for grabs, it well worth your while to answer the flash mob call to arms. Read on to find out more! Earn thalers – the Spotlight system's currency – by playing any of 14 minigames: Pest Control, Soul Wars, Fist of Guthix Barbarian Assault, Conquest, Fishing Trawler, Great Orb Project,Flash Powder Factory, Castle Wars Stealing Creation,Cabbage Facepunch Bonanza, Heist, Mobilising Armies & Trouble Brewing Then, spend them on selected rewards from any of the games included in the system, as well as limited runs of selected Treasure Hunter items. Every three days, a minigame will be spotlighted, yielding thalers five times faster than it would normally. RuneScape has a wide variety of minigames, and here's a new reason to try them all out. Read on for further details! How to Start You can claim 1 thaler per 5 minutes simply by playing any of the games listed below. Playing the spotlighted minigame earns you 1 thaler every minute. You will – of course – still receive any currency or other rewards usually awarded by the minigame. The spotlighted minigame changes every three days. The order is as follows: Pest Control Soul Wars Fist of Guthix Barbarian Assault Conquest Fishing Trawler Great Orb Project Flash Powder Factory Castle Wars Stealing Creation Cabbage Facepunch Bonanza Heist Mobilising Armies Barbarian Assault Conquest Fist of Guthix Castle Wars Pest Control Soul Wars Fishing Trawler Great Orb Project Flash Powder Factory Stealing Creation Cabbage Facepunch Bonanza Heist Trouble Brewing Castle Wars Note that – by design - some minigames come up more frequently than others. Once this rotation ends, it will restart and continue indefinitely. Rewards Outside each minigame covered by the system is a podium, and on the spotlighted minigame's podium you'll find Stanley Limelight – the Spotlight host. You can find out which minigame is currently under the spotlight and access the thaler reward store from any podium – whether Stanley's there or not. Stanley Limelight Opening the store will reveal selected rewards from all minigames included in the Spotlight system – armour sets, skilling outfits and more. There'll also be a selection of rewards normally only found on Treasure Hunter. These will be limited in availability, so get them while you can! Note that Ironman accounts cannot claim any rewards from the Spotlight Reward Store that they would not ordinarily be able to access. There's never been a better time to get into RuneScape minigames and enjoy their unique rewards. Have fun, and let us know your thoughts over on the forums. 25. Dimension of the Damned Pit yourself and your friends against the undead in Dimension of the Damned and compete for the unique title of King/Queen of the Damned and a host of prizes - the ultimate PvM challenge. Start the one-hour timer using your HUD in-game and rack up points while slaying as many zombies as you can to secure your place on the leaderboard. You can restart the clock to improve your score as many times as you’d like. The top 1,000 players after ten days will make it through to the finale on the 28th for the chance to win a selection of sought-after prizes, including (but not limited to) lifetime membership, an all expenses paid trip to Jagex and 200M GP. Need-to-knows Dimension of the Damned is PvM only, even in the Wilderness. All players start with maxed stats and starter gear. Catching Zombeism from bites saps your health, but you can stave off the effects by taking antidotes and/or consuming modified shrimps prior to battle. These (and other useful items) can be obtained from Zkrik’s shop in Falador using bottle corks. You can also get them from supply drops, but you'll only have three minutes to find the crate. Falador is a safe space where the dead don’t rise. You’ll be escorted back there by white knights if you become inactive, and you’ll respawn there if you die. However, players with Zombeism can’t pass through the gates. Banks across Gielinor will be open for use. Space is limited though, and you’ll have to pay for it in bottle corks. You can read about the rules for the finale here. The chance to compete for a place in the Finale ends in ten days, so don’t delay.
