What's the story behind your RS name?

I created my main over 3-years ago. I used to be a big-time skater and I like Avril Lavigne's song "Sk8er Boi". I also liked using 1337-speak back then. So there you have it: da_5k83r8o1 (the skaterboy).

 

 

 

I don't really like the username now but it's my main and I've invested too much time and money into it that I dont wanna start over. :ohnoes:

my 'scape name was created as a rip off of my neopets name in which i tried to use my name as my acount but i accidentaly forgot the c in my name and it came out "Dunan" so i just use that for most of my usernames now (except this one and my AIM)

Well, I'm a bit of a Tolkien fan (ok, so maybe a lot of a Tolkien fan) so I got mine that way. Of course, all character names were taken...so I experimented with some Elvish and thus I became Ascar Pilind. (Quenya for Rushing Arrow, which I thought had a nice ring to it)

well, my username - Hologrampker - I made as my main was called Hologram(insert some numbers here) - i don't even remember, this was way back in runescape classic, I then thought i'd make a nice pure, so i got 40 attack, 60 strength, 10 defence.. then runescape(2) came out, and that idea pretty much went out of the window.. i'm now 121 combat.. not so pure.

My name has a long history.

 

 

 

When I first started using internet, I guess it was around 1995, then I loved chat rooms, used a whole lot of one specific telnet chat. I loved reading alot and at that period, mostly french and english literature. So, as most of you surely know, english sometimes use the prefix St in their names. Like St John Rivers in "Jane Eyre" (yeah, pretty lame example). St stands for Saint ofcourse. So I doodled with letters a bit and thought of the name St Sparker.

 

 

 

Later I had to move on from that chat and lose that name because of some relationship issues. That was the time I was a great fan of anime series "Noir". So, voilÃÆÃâÃâá! I picked Noir for my new fresh nick. Used that for a few years and since I don't like numbers in names, I added the prefix St in mail accounts and such.

 

 

 

Then, starting my "awesome" RS career, I ofcourse went with St Noir. Played for a few hours and forgot about the game and the character. Upon coming back, I had surprisingly forgot about the pass and I just thought I'll make a new one.

 

 

 

Shir was just a result of playing with letters. It sounds really good in my language. I know how americans pronounce it (Teamspeak ftw) and that's not that good but still. Shir didn't mean anything to me, it was just a random combination that I liked.

 

Lately, trading with a guy to get my last missing set of elegant, he suddenly asks me if I'm arabian (I think it was arabian, or jew or something like that). I asked why in astonishment and he said, "well your name means song in arabic/hebrew/whatever". I have the most awful memory of all mankind so I can't remember exactly.

 

So, after long evolution of my nicks, I have quite unintendedly got myself a name that means holy song basically. I'm extremely pleased with that.

 

 

 

And now you all met my darkside - talking longwindedly about things nobody cares about lol. O well, I just enjoy the click of keyboard. It's dusty anyway, clicking might shake off the dust abit.

well when i first started runescape my first account was yankees8292. my birthday is august 8th 1992 8/2/92. i looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooove the yankees. well i got hacked around the time i was level 26 and i was very pissed off. but lukily i made another account and its name was yanxrul. (i wanted to make it yankeellova but o well you know??) i was very happy with yanxrul because it is easy to type on the login name but what always ticks me off is when people call me: yan. when i first made the account i thought that i was going to be called yanx or yanks or maybe yanxrul. but im lucky if any one will even acknowledge me as yanx :( . i still love my account name and would never change its name for the world (maybe a santa but never the world). i love YANXRUL!!

My favorite name was Gozen but things happend to that account so i can't use that name anymore. Gozen came from a women samuri true i am male but i have great respect for a women who was a skilled swordswoman in a time period were women did the dishes and such. My new name Durtraiku is from WoW I did the random name generater and thats what it came up with and it has just stuck because i like it go figure lol
