blackrazor Posted April 4, 2009 Share Posted April 4, 2009 I'm a 1240 skill-total pure-f2p, and yes I know it's not enough to make the list. I've been playing since November 2001. I used to be in the top10 when this list was brand new (or some previous incarnation of it on the old Scapeboard with the same idea). Then I was in the top 30s as it grew. Top 100s after a while. I kind of lost track and never noticed the point where I was bumped off of it entirely. Still, this is a fun list to have and kudos for maintaining it. Now, why am I posting, since I obviously no longer make the list and really nobody wants to read the paragraph I posted above? Well, I have a question. Why is this list no longer stickied, and instead we have some odd nearly-empty f2p list of "Tipiters only" in the sticky section? Yes, I know this is Tip.it, but it seems a bit odd to try and maintain a Tipit-only f2p list in lieu of a more global one. So I'm curious about how this change came to be. Thanks. A lot of old names on the lists are getting bumped off as new blood enter into the list, and of course stop playing the game themselves speed up the process even more. Feeling a bit down seeing old names coming off the list like that, many of them used to be my goals and inspirations or some familiar faces I seen in the old days. At least the new f2ps seems to keep training themselves hard, that's always a plus. Anyone who has a little free and wants to help, please pm me and I will give you a list of names to check (include in the msg the number of names you are willing to do). This is basically just adding up all of the skill xps and making sure that it matches up with the total xp, which can be done easily in excel. I'm ranked 143 and kind of new to the list havent been on it very long, haven't really looked on the forums much or posted anything but one thing I did notice after reading about checking total xp for possible members is some people have unranked stats and those stats are listed as 0 xp on the list. This is messed up for a couple of reasons, first of all its possible these people are cheating because it means they have xp that is unaccounted for and we have no way of knowing if its for their unranked stat or for a member stat. Seems to me that you should have these people either train these stats to a ranked level so they can be checked or provide a screenshot of their unranked stat and xp so it can be confirmed that they have no xp in a member stat. They should have no problem providing a screenshot unless they have something to hide, plus it will only benefit them because instead of the unranked stat being counted as lvl 1 it will be diplayed on the list as what it really is. So to be honest theres no reason to not provide a screenshot of their unranked stat unless their cheating. So far I've only found galaxyg and Q384564 to not add up, however although the others add up according to their lvls and xp we still don't know if those levels are where they should be, unless they provide a screenshot. armeng90 Posted April 7, 2009 Share Posted April 7, 2009 i checked hiscores from 1315-1375, found these people: jaacco - 1315 (still low total, but just incase) avdb656 - 1334 truusemuus - 1342 reneinkehra - 1352 also saw j4kub (1319) and arkainespark (1320), but bomma said em before me. :( thx bini and medieval kid for double checking the list with that bot. in regards to galaxyg's and q384564's xps, i'm guessing it's some glitch in hiscores. both of them have too high unranked xp (1.9m and 5.4m respectively) to not be ranked in other stats (even in a p2p stat). for the others with an unranked skill (fhaz, d sweetheart, sun 2, dirtysanchzz), jhns mentioned that they could send a screenie to show their unranked stat's xp. yes, it would be nice, however i don't think the top 250 would display that after, cause runehead works with rs hiscores(?). but besides, either they'll train it eventually to keep up with the list or they're inactive. nonetheless, for the 4 of them, their missing xp matches with their supposed lvl.
