it seems evilmerc.com has had changes since you listed it as an example forum 8)

Indeed, and the example forum featured on evilmerc is excellent :D

Nice guide mate.

Kirk and Lars I could handle. At the same time.

i once tried dk3 and was impressed, then i checked out invision and was wowed..... invision is good

Invision is good but its not all together free and they are slowly phasing out the free version all together. they have already removed bug fixes and support for free people and have closed the official invision skins and mods site to the free users.

You ought to add that if people wish to advertise their forum/site here then they should backlink to us :)
I'd limit that to runescape based forums. I don't want to backlink to tipit as the content on my site/forum has nothing to do with it at all; which makes backlinking pointless as people would follow it and be like "what the hell, where's the programming, irc, php stuff?".

Just go look at Hond-tech.com and vwvortex.com

I'm sure its good but its a bit basic really.

And the permissions system is nothing like as good as phpBB

I dont really want to turn this thread into one advertising hosting companies. There is a really good forum here that deals specifically with webhosting, reviews ratings etc

And i would never go with b-one simply because they advertyise as having unlimited bandwidth.... there is no such thing and you will find their servers are down all the time. Do you think that thewy would host tipit on ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã3.60 a month?

http://www.chewynetwork.com seems to be resonable though

Try RelyNets boards

http://www.zeroforum.com/

http://www.vwvortex.com both use it.10 times better than this crummy boards Tip.It uses.

If you like a crappy design. Hard to modify template, less features and have to pay for it.
