A clue's reward is not determined when its dropped

I quit runescape over 2 years ago with a level 2 clue in my bank left undone, i came back recently and finally did the clue today. I received a yew comp. bow, which werent out when i quit. Seems to be proof that the loot from a treasure trial is determined some other way than specifically when it was dropped off the monster.

Not neccessarily significant, but interesting nonetheless.

Some say that it does but thats an anceint clue mayeb the rewards weren't too good.

But none the less clues are pretty random

I've found the actual doing the clue to be the same, i had a cklue about 6 things long, when they released the cluew update (emotes)

I didn't have to do one.

No matter how solid your evidence is, you can't change the minds of the masses.

I've done ummm .. hundreds of Lv3 clues. Dozens of Lv1's. Probably like ... four Lv2's.

Even if Jagex came out and said that it wasn't determined when you pick up the scroll, I'm sure

plenty of people would still believe that it is. It's a superstition, really.

My greatest ambition is to kill every member of the human race.

Mostly I space out at Hellhounds. Occasionally I'll get one when I'm minding my own business

(Green Dragons, Greater Demons, etc.), but when I go out trying to get a clue, I go to

Hellhounds. Clues are the only things Hellhounds drop anyway, besides bones, which somehow

makes it easier when you go 100 at a time without a clue.

Most of the monsters you get from the Lv100+ Slayer Master drop clue scrolls, so if I'm slaying

I'll usually get one.

My greatest ambition is to kill every member of the human race.

I reckon it's to do with the location you finish at.

I finished a level 3 clue with a Uri emote in Shilo bank. Got Guthix vambs, rune b axe and black d hide body. A level 100-something came along and got rune b axe and black d hide body... :-k

Sold him the vambs 150k :)

Well that is obvious IMO

Clue scroll drops would generate clue sequence of x clues

Each time you complete a clue another clue is randomly selected

When u complete the last clue it generates a random reward.

I found this little tid bit interesting ok 5 of my lvl 3 clues have given me just god pages and runes and rune stuff but 2 of them gave me zammy plate robin hood hat and it makes me wonder cause the first 5 i did on the day i got the clue but the others i had to do a quest and i finished them a week later. It seems I get better rewards the longer i have the clue.

6 year anniversary was 8/25/09

Personaly i find that when i am killing monsters and get a clue randomly i get a good reward ( 200k+) ( lvl 3 ) However when i am after a clue for when i have nothing else to do, i get really bad rewards. \'

well thats just me. i think the reward of clue scroll is like a spin of a wheel its just pure luck
