Diesel
Complications from general anaesthetics almost never happen to young people. I've had to have it quite a few times. Don't :| worry, you'll be fine. Happened to me >_>. The first time I had general anesthetic I had great pain breathing for several weeks, and after that it tooks months of breathing exercises for my lungs to go back to their normal size. And it was a small operation, I was only 16, and I had all those problems. That makes me feel MUCH better... Anyways, thank you for your insights. I did some thinking last night and I'm not as worried as I was before. I figured that it's only a 45 minute operation so what could go wrong? O and I hope your urethra operation goes well Lageris89. Diesel
Obviously, this is a stupid question... Where is teh wisdom teeth? They are considered molars that come in at the very back of the jaw. A lot of people don't have enough space for them, (including me), so they have to get them taken out. Tigra00
It isn't bad. They give you Nitrous Oxide (VROOOOOM!) and you can feel yourself smiling uncontrollabley and the dentists will take this as a sign that you're ready to get the ole' knock-out juice...They stick a needle in your arm and the next thing you know, you're awake (if you could call it that) and they're taking you out of the room to lay down on a bed for about 5 minutes, then you're free to go. The whole thing took like 45 mins or an hour for me, I have no idea, I just remember they said the procedure took 45 minutes. It is VERY weird because you don't remember going out, you just remember waking up, and it's like an hour of your life was stolen and you dunno' where it is. :P Anyways, I had all 4 removed and a small peice of my jaw (apparently one of the teeth was pushing into my jaw so they had to remove a tiny bit to remove the tooth) and all that hurt was the place where the bit of bone from my jaw was removed, and even that didn't bother me. The holes from the teeth themselves never hurt me once and I never took a single one of my vicodin they gave me. One of my friends sisters' got hers removed and laid on the couch bawling her eyes out for like 3 days...So apparently the pain is relative...I think she's just a big [wagon] baby, though, because honestly, I'm not trying to sound tough, but it didn't hurt me at all. I felt completely normal within 6 hours tops. The popularity of any given religion today depends on the victories of the wars they fought in the past. - Me! When you have the same peice in your mouth for over an hour it starts to feel like a large stringy booger. Not that I would know what a booger feels like in your mouth... Last.Fm My Bloggy Proud to have served on Tip.it Crew
Tigra00
See? Wasn't so bad. I'm probably the luckiest person ever to get his pulled...No pain, and it only bled for like an hour afterwards. I got home and took the cotton out and it was done bleeding right after that. :P I'm sure your dentist told you, but make sure you do not stick your tongue in the holes where the teeth were. Blood needs to clot there so it can heal...If that clot gets knocked out, you'll get something called "Dry Socket" which, I'm told, is extremely painful. Also, no sucking on anything because suction can draw the clots out of the holes aswell. ...For about 2 weeks, then you're home free. The popularity of any given religion today depends on the victories of the wars they fought in the past. - Me! XdomX
When I first tried to drink someting my mouth was still very numb, now if you've ever tried drinking something when your mouth is completely numb its pretty funny. I ended up spilling tea all over myself. :P Stud112 (UNBANNED)99 atk, 92 def, 99 str, 97 hp, 118 combat

Lugia_Lvl138
I got all 4 of mine out about a month and a half ago. I had some pain medicine and some anti-swelling medicine. I stopped bleeding a couple of hours after I got home, and didn't need much of the pain medicine. I was pretty much living on things like Jello and pudding. After a few days, the only thing that felt funny was the stitches and I had something in Runescape to keep my mind off of any weird feelings. You see, before the operation I was dreading it too. About 10 minutes before I had to leave, my dad told me I should read something instead of doing another 10 minutes of dreading. I read the June Behind the Scenes for Runescape. When I got to the part about Dark Bows I was like d-d-d-D-D-D-DARK BOWS . I was 88 Slayer at the time and I knew what I had to do the instant I could get on the computer again. 4x Phat owner: Blue, Green, 2x Purple 3100+ GWD bosses soloed.Solo GWD Drops:5 Bandos Plates, 4 Bandos Boots, 3 Bandos Hilts, 2 Arma Helms, Arma Skirt, Arma Plate, 3 Arma Hilts, 4 Zammy Spears, Steam Staff, 15 Sara Swords, 6 Sara Hilts, 29 Shards. Well that sucks, the best part about getting prescribed painkillers is that when you don't need them anymore, you can just off em' to one of your buddies for $5-10 a pill.
