Nom
Anyway, getting somewhat back on topic. For those that read to the end, anyone have any idea what Emily was going to say before she got interrupted by Ash wanting to check out who fixed the car? -> http://www.misfile.com/?page=793Probably that she likes Ash. It's the only thing I'm sure she wouldn't tell Ash straight foward. Yeah, and before that she said she wasn't sure she wanted everything to change back, probably because they would both forget everything that happened and she doesn't want to forget him. Blipo
I think it is really good. my favorite page is #642   =P~ =P~ Ps: Whats with all the threads about changing genders? 3 threads so far: "If you woke up one day as the opposite gender" Homosexuality: Right or Wrong?(not really sure) And now this misfile thread. Homosexuality =/////////////////= changing your gender. Totally unrelated mostly. >_> Very good comic. Read it all last night. Very good, and a complete waste of my night/morning. If it was a waste of time then why did you read it all T.T Posting here is a complete waste of my time, yet I still do. Enjoyment. =D
Rebdragon
Probably that she likes Ash. It's the only thing I'm sure she wouldn't tell Ash straight foward. Nah, I'd put $100 bucks against that (especially since that hypothesis seems to contradict itself in the second sentence :P ). She's still confused about the gender situation, and with her chactersitics (low self esteem, etc.), I doubt she'd confront Ash that early about it, especially when it could mess with the situation a great deal. Most likely she was going to say "I've been thinking a lot and... I'm not sure I want to go back to my old life." With the whole "near death incident", and the fact that she's having doubts about being just living her life studying (a lot of which has been very recent), and with the way she phrased the beginning of the sentence I find the odds that she was going to say that she doesn't want to go back to her old life 70% or more. Read back through the previous comic pages, she's been having a lot of second thoughts about her old life, and I'm sure she wouldn't want to forget Ash (as a friend or otherwise). Not sure if that's what NOM was thinking as well, but that's my hypothesis. hellbellz
Yeah, that could happen. Ash probably thinks the same way. She has a relationship with her mom, she still races, has fun. She probably learned a lot about the opposite sex also. :P Ash also has a new friend. :

Which sort if brings up the question, would they retain their memories of everything that happened? Seeing as they retained their memories after the misfile, perhaps they would when they got changed back? And Emily seems to have it much etter off now after the misfile, but I'm sure Ash still wants to be changed back. It's a conundrum. Ingenious :P . The only problem with that is that if Rumisiel's Bosses find out that Emily's pages are missing, they'll change it so Emily really believes that she was never a Senior. SO she wouldn't have friends like Molly, etc. It's a dilemma, all right. #-o Join Epiphany!

trapical
I'm pretty sure if Ash changes back he forgets everything. Taken from the site: Files correctly entered into the system are all updated as the universe changes. Improperly filed files generate errors and are processed, but not updated properly, resulting in a disconnection with the universal defined reality, otherwise known as a "UDR Error". This is why Ash and Emily retain the memories of their previous lives, because the contents of their files no longer match the descriptions of their files as entered on the "table of contents" on the inside cover of each individual file. While the bodies have been updated, the souls cannot be located for updates, and the memories are retained. Since the files themselves now recognize Ash as a girl and Emily as being two years younger, all correctly filed files have been updated to reflect this altered reality. If the files were replaced correctly, the universe would return to normal. Which I think means the only reason Ash knows the truth about Emily's condition is because his file has a glitch. If Ash changes back his file updates itself with the 'new' info about Emily, the info saying Emily is supposed to be a sophomore. If this assumption is correct it leads to quite the predicament... No it means that because their files got switched, they cant locate the souls of Ash and Emily, and so cant update their souls (which apearantly means their memory). Or is that what you just tried to say?
trapical
That's what I'm saying. If Ash changes back, the system will find his soul and fill him in on all the changes that happened, aka, Emily is a regular sophomore.

InkofDeath
I get addicted to things way too easily. =P~ This is actually a pretty good WebComic, comparing it to others I've seen. I'd rather not read the predictions of future pages since I'd leave it as a surprise, or a very odd twist(it usually happens), since that would just add more to it. Though predicting things is fun, I shall try not to read this thread too much. But then again... :
Rebdragon
I can verify trapical's point that they would lose their memories from readin the "Ask Ash" section of the site, which repeatedly mentions that they would lose their memories if the files were fixed. http://www.misfile.com/?page=1 <- I Got the Misfile Siggeh virus!!! Anyway, Reb, my only doubt that Em is going to say "I want to stay in this life" is the fact that she sorta already said that, didn't she? I think it's gotta be something a little bit bigger if she already said the aforementioned quote and the fact that she started the sentence with "Well I have been thinking..." "Attempting alchemy" is not something I like or am proud of, it just shows my obsession over the anime and manga :P . Haha, I kid, I kid. Anyway, Reb, my only doubt that Em is going to say "I want to stay in this life" is the fact that she sorta already said that, didn't she? I think it's gotta be something a little bit bigger if she already said the aforementioned quote and the fact that she started the sentence with "Well I have been thinking..." Seems odd that she would finish that sentence with something she said 3 frames earlier. My guess is she was going to indirectly ask Ash to consider the option himself. She was probably just going to explain her reasoning for such a statement to Ash, considering the fact that it's admitting to not want to keep all the work went through to get into Harvard. I can see what you're getting at, and I guess it drops it down to 98%, but I'm pretty sure you know she wouldn't want even consider asking Ash to do something that he considers a living Hell, just to keep her company. She's too kind a character to want to even mention (even indirectly) an idea like that to Ash. It'd basically come off as, "I know this whole identity crisis is a living Hell for you, but can you do it permanently so I can be a little more happy?" The lost 2% is open for other possiblities of where she was going to go with that (based on your valid point that she would just be repeating herself, so she might say something else), but after Ash's reaction ("what!?") to her statement the odds that she would feel a need to explain herself are too high for me to bet against. So, I believe she was going to explain why she didn't want to get the two years back, and that's what I'm sticking to :P . God, now I'm feeling nostalgic about being on Fullmetal Alchemist forums debating and predicting what's going to happen next in the manga -_-'. http://www.misfile.com/?page=1 <- I Got the Misfile Siggeh virus!!!
