halo worth buying xbox for?

everyone seems to like halo so im going to see whats all the talk about and buy a xbox (not a xbox 360) to play halo 1 and halo 2, and hopefully halo 3 will go on xbox.

I was wondering if its worth it buying a xbox just to play the halo games because i already have a ps2 which can play other games too

Halo is a good game (in my opinion, others will disagree i'm sure) however, I don't think it's a stand alone reason for getting an xbox. If it's cheap enough, and you have more then two games in mind. Sure, get one, but otherwise I'd probably go for something like a Wii, or save up for a Xbox360.

Also, don't get your hopes up for Halo 3 on the xbox.

buy the PC versions?

^ What he said. I played the Halo 1 on my PC and it was great

Playing Halo 2 on my 360 was disappointing in comparison

is halo 1 the same as halo: combat evolved? I looked on ign and gamespot for halo 1 and i all I got was that

I wouldn't buy a 360 just to play halo. That's a 450 or 350 dollar game. I mean 360 is great if your looking for a new system and like shooters, it has quite a few good ones. I think your better off just picking out whichever next gen system you have your heart on and waiting a couple years for pc halo.

Uh, lol? Halo 3 is $60, 70, or 130 depending on the edition. Expensive, but not near $450.

And in all honesty, its the reason I bought my 360. Not that Halo 3 will act as the killer app that Halo did; the 360 has plenty of kick-[wagon] games now anyway.

Oh back on topic. No, I wouldn't buy an Xbox now...Kind of late, don't you think? Like others said, you're better off with the PC versions, and they have a certain amount of modding as a benefit. Keep in mind the multiplayer experience won't be quite the same, and it's what made Halo 2 awesome. The single-player is only average, but it would help to play it to acquaint yourself with Halo should you buy Halo 3 somewhere down the road.

Life is a joke. Yeah, I don't get it either.

Hes considering buying an xbox for playing halo.

Xbox 360 = 300 or 400 bux

Halo = 60 bucks.

300+ 60 = 360. 400 + 60 = 460.

I'm assuming hes talking about the 360 because its common knowledge halo is for 360 only? Or maybe I'm wrong?

Halo 3 will be on X-Box 360

ONLY the 360

like Gears of War and Halo 2 was ONLY for the xbox and 360?

...What the hell are you talking about? Gears of War is only on the 360. They're planning to make a PC version, I heard, but uhhh, yea.

Yeah because there's a big difference between PC and 360 considering they are both made by the same company...

Let me clear something up for you.

Microsoft makes the 360

Microsoft does not make PCs

Microsoft makes an Operating system that runs on a PC.

Oh and theres a huge difference between what a computer/PC can do and what the 360 can do. Don't argue, because it's common sense.

Any FPS is better on a PC. ANY.

Oh i dunno. Just because FPS originated on the PC doesn't mean it's perfect...It gets frustrating to be forced to run my hands across the whole keyboard; controllers are so much easier to use.

Unless you mean graphics. Then...yeah, PC woops them.

No offence, but learn to play.

Having a keyboard and mouse gives you so much more flexibility, mobility and response to something than a controller. Simply: More options, better lay-out.

Urr let me clear something up, Microsoft makes the operating system yes, so a PC game is made to run on Windows, made by microsoft, therefore any PC game is made for microsoft. And don't argue that it's made to run on the Pc because it isn't, why do you think you can't run Windows games on Macs, the operating system..
