Blaze_9555
In today's postbag to the hedge, the npc Grimgnash was forced to tell a story in order to not get sued. View the letter and response: Dear Grimgnash, Recently, I told you a simple bedtime story. For the most part, it was belligerent and violent; just the way you like it. Well, I slipped up a couple times, and you bit me. After I told you my story, I contacted my injury lawyer. He claims I have legal rights. I'd hate to take some one of your stature to court, so here's the deal: you tell me a story, and we drop the charges. I think that's a fair deal, right? Your's grimly, R. Chipmunk Grarghk! Grimgnash not care for little meatless skull. You human send Grimgnash meat next time. Skull not good eating. Skull taste bad. Human want story? Grimgnash's mother-griff tell Grimgnash many stories, but they too fun for human. Human feel ill if Grimgnash tell Grimgnash's mother-griff stories. Grimgnash know other stories, told to Grimgnash by strange woman with paint on white face. She live on other mountain and have no meat. She tell me many stories, all too short: In the desert the scarab waits. The Institute reports a random fluctuation in rates of production. The Strong will help the Weak. My two-er just beat a three-er! Ogre men aren't very clean. Look beneath the Plain of Mud. The threat from the north shall be of Mahjarrat made. Grimgnash find and eat you later. Grimgnash I may just be speculating, but these sound like clues of some sort. For example:" Look beneath the plain of mud." I know Jagex likes to put little messages on their site and I wonder if this is one of them. The internet: A place where the men are men, the women are men, and 13 year old girls are FBI agents. looks like WoW's interface. Were you too lazy to read 3 posts above or too stupid to comprehend it?Brothers and sisters, I have none, but that man's father is my father's son. Another quest dealing with Gu'Tanoth? "Look beneath the Plain of Mud." This can be with "Ogre men aren't very clean." "The threat from the north shall be of Mahjarrat made." Well, this one is obvious, the return of the Mahjarrat.

Dharockslayer
Im thinking that the oracle is the one responcible for the stories. She(?) is from another mountain, white face with marks on it, and no meat to eat. Well, that sorta matches the Oracle. Im looking forward to the threat of the Mahjarrat. :D And the new sophanem quest ofcourse. Interrested in joining the cabbagy madness? Will H
In the desert the scarab waits. - I'm guessing either a new pyramid is gonna turn up, or this has something to do with Kalphites. The Institute reports a random fluctuation in rates of production. - This could be a number of things. Production of what? The Strong will help the Weak. - This could actually refer to the last sentence, or it could be anything. My two-er just beat a three-er! - fastknight20 has probably got it, it may be a comparison of a whip and a godsword. Ogre men aren't very clean. - Is this a coincidence with the reintroduction of Bandos, a god which Ogres worship? Look beneath the Plain of Mud. - A goblin book(dropped by any goblin) says the plain of mud is where the last war of goblins was held, and I remember a goblin saying it was long lost or something, maybe we will find it. The threat from the north shall be of Mahjarrat made. - North? Mahjarrat? The connection seems to be recurring. Will a move be made, or is it a warning? ~ W ~

Fredz
why are u guys always speculating  most of the time it doesn't even comes close to their plans  Because things said by the chaos elemental (now oracle) is pretty straight forward and not really speculations. 21 lag piles, 4 Pjs, 2 Party hat kills, 67 newbs teached. aoe325
why are u guys always speculating  most of the time it doesn't even comes close to their plans  First its funny :) Then most of these are pretty obvious pointers about the subject of future updates. In the desert the scarab waits. : That (imo) is the sequel to Contact! for sure! We're finally getting to see Menaphos! (could be in a few months from now tough, who knows) Quest cape obtained at combat level 83, march 07.
Sy_Accursed
Heres my thoughts on what these seem to logically hint at: In the desert the scarab waits. Quest relating to Sacrabus the desert god who waslinked to sacarabs. Most probably a follow up to Contact! (it his links to him) if it does follow onto Contact!it may open the city upfinally The Institute reports a random fluctuation in rates of production. I think this has links to the mining corporation of the Keldagrim. Red Axe plans could be affecting ore production. Possibly hinting to next part of that story The Strong will help the Weak. Hard to pin point this. Suggests something about high lvls or strong npcs helping us/low levels My two-er just beat a three-er! Many theories around this based on godsword/whip etc. Hard to say sounds like something you'dsay in some form of card game thou =S perhapsthe gamesroom? Ogre men aren't very clean. Something to do with orges obviously. This could link to Red Axe (the orge shaman)and double dealings or perhaps some follow on from the necromancy idea and the zorge quest. Look beneath the Plain of Mud. Plain of Mud is reference by Goblins as somewhere they fought during the godwars. This would suggest a goblin quest/area is opening up somewhere in future The threat from the north shall be of Mahjarrat made. Obviously another stage in the huge Mahjarrat story line. Perhaps we find more of themor perhaps we get summoned north to aid them, assuming we have done relative quests. RoswellCrash
The museum is making a boat to an island untouched since the god wars, a lot of god wars related updates lately could this have something to do with the Mahjarrat, Plain of Mud or even the whispers of the Dragonkin. - Twitter | RuneScape FB Group | My PC
