Kwisatz
I don't know if you guys remember, but a while ago I was working on a multi-user system similar to Listen-To, but more liberal with the free features and coded from scratch by me. In other words, a system that displays online the music you listen to on your computer, but updated LIVE when you play a song. I got it operational, but the coding sucked, so I didn't finish it. Then I recoded it and I ran into a problem because my host has their PHP configured in a way where I couldn't store information in files. I was going to rewrite it to use PEAR, but my webhost sucks, so PEAR didn't work. So I finally made the fourth rewrite of this service, which I have dubbed PlayShare, and I must say, it blows everything else I've seen AWAY. Features: Works with Winamp through an existing plugin Ability to easily accomodate new players and plugins Ability to show artist, title, album, length, quality, path, filename, and date in both an image and a page (last 20 songs for a page and last 10 for an image, to keep database load down) Ability to customize text color, position, font, and background of an image FULLY PhpBB compatible. No gimmicky workarounds, the image works 'out of the box' so you can stick it in your sig. You can change your timezone and style of date when displaying dates in the page or image User-to-user messaging Ability to give others full access to your song history, so that other programmers can add functionality User-friendly control panel Ability to download database ...and did I mention all this will be FREE? It will (but I will probably have Google Ads and might have a pay service with more fonts and premade BGs, depending on licensing issues with the fonts). I finished all of the dirty work. All that remains is to make the control panel for users and admins, a user creation page, and to beta-test. My sig has been updated to use the new version. It should load faster than the old one, and if you click the extended info link, it will show you the whole shabang. Please post any feature requests you have for this service, or any comments. And I WILL finish it this time! handed me TWO tissues to clear up. I was like "i'm going to need a few more paper towels than that luv"

Kwisatz
I didn't write the plugin, it is made by someone else. I coded the web part of it. But my friend knows Visual C++ so he might be able to make some plugins as well. handed me TWO tissues to clear up. Kwisatz
Oooh... http://amip.tools-for.net/index.php This will solve all of my problems. I am a very happy boy right now... That is, assuming it works well and doesn't use some queer proprietary protocol, like some plugins. handed me TWO tissues to clear up. Kwisatz
Holy Koalas! YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! In case you were wondering why I am so happy, I got it to work with AMIP. This adds Apollo, QCD, and fb2k support. Now all that remains is a Winders Media and Musicmatch plugin, as well as Real if anyone uses that. Plugins are easy as pie to add, so if anyone wants to write a plugin for any of the players, just tell me and I will give you details. I also finished the database module. This will allow outside developers to retrieve a user's database and perform analysis on it, making for uber-cool expandability options. handed me TWO tissues to clear up. goku_nazz
Does this work with iTunes?
Kwisatz
@goku: Yes, it works with iTunes, forgot to mention that. I haven't tested it with iTunes, but [http]ami[[/url] works with my service and it's available for iTunes, so yeah, it does, in theory. @devil: You don't have to have mp3. I believe AMIP for iTunes reads tags off of AAC files too, or if you have them named in an artist - title[extension not allowed] type way, then you can just set it to display the filename. @Cameron: No, you can just turn off the plugin when you're watching stuff like that. handed me TWO tissues to clear up.
