Afl season

As we seen already this year, the bottom teams havent improved...

hawks, tigers, crows...

Can we expect Port, Cats, Saints, Lions top 4 this year

As a cat fan im hopen yes

Port- Ageing team, will be tough to beat at home, proberly wont win back to back to anything is possible i guess.

Lions- After winning 3 in a row, last year grang final they blew. to worryed about the man. Can they hit back go for 4 ouuta 5

Loosing the players they did.. in lynch and heart wont help

but

Saints- Can they go better then last year... maybe they might not go to movies lol. But they havent lost or gained any big names to they shud be able to cont. with last year form top 4 for sure.

Cats- havin there captain all year will help. ottens up forward will see if its geelong that cant kick goals or is it we only needed a good tall markin forward. loosen benny will hurt as he gave experince and leadership and a leadin and pack marking player a bit more up the ground.

I cant see any body else going all the way. people have been saying west coast but.. they simple dont have the depth that the 4 teams above have. Hopefully it will be a good year.

Let me know what you think. Not just about The teams above. about all the teams we try and keep this going all year. show these non aussies we got a better sport then them :)

After round 1

Sydney sits a top with 219%

Again, I can't go past Brisbane this year, they are just solid everywhere.

My 1 major hope is that Collingwood miss the finals again, that will make my year.

m from W.A but i support the swans..so w00t :P

i reckon the saints will take it out this year, or if not, sometime in the next few years...they just have so much young talent.

They will struggle in the next few weeks without Riewoldt at centre half, I still don't think they can win the BIG games however, like the Essendon's and the Brisbane's and the Port's can.

Lions! Need I say more?

Hmm yep. Lions are done. What do you guys think about what mal micheal and scott did to Riewoldt. ( For those who dont know. Riewoldt hurt his shoulder going for a mark. then was bumped into by Micheal and Scott and it turns out Riewoldt has a broken collar bone and will miss 4-6 weeks i belive.

Go the cats 62pts. Ottens 3 goals. Another lose for tigers whats that 30 now?hahaha

i got 6 tips this week. i picked blues and pies...

Well im back after been banned..

But anyways. Big week in football. No major upsets. Heaps of close games. Unlike last week, this week will be a pretty quite one, with no major headlines coming from the weekend.

Ill post the scores:

Carlton 16.14 110 def. Essendon 17. 4 106

West Coast Eagles 12.12 84 def. Geelong 8.14 62

Melbourne 20.17 137 def. Western Bulldogs 15.21 111

Kangaroos 12.10 82 def. Sydney Swans 7.17 59

Port Adelaide 11. 9 75 def. Brisbane Lions 11. 7 73

St Kilda 8.11 59 def. Fremantle 8.10 58

Richmond 16. 7 103 def. Hawthorn 12.17 89

Adelaide 12. 9 81 def. Collingwood 10.15 75

All close games, biggest margin with melb's 26point win when at one stage i think they were 10 goals up. With 4 games been decied by 1 goal it was a close round. Essendon cont. to fade away in the last quater. Geelong cont. to be unable to win away from victoria. Roo's keep there winning ways at these non-perminant grounds. Port prove yet again why they won the grand final last year. Saints prove knowing how to win is just as important as been a good team. Richmond and Hawthorn..... well at least one team got a win.... Pie's....they will be fighten Hawthorn and Richmond this year.

didnt start with the him hitting the ground for that mark, i think it was scott who ran straight into him when he was in the air going for an earlier mark

Yes. First that, then he hurt it again going into the ground, then the Bumps.

In all fairness he should of left the ground if he wasnt feeling right

I'm not much of a big fan of afl, but I just thought I'd mention that AFL stands for Australian Rules Football for all of you non-australians :)

Boy that sure clears things up. When I saw the title I thought maybe it was about the Arena Football League (like American NFL but the field is half the distance). When he started on about goals I didnt have a clue. I have seen tape of it before (if i'm thinking of the right sport). Those guys are tough (no pads right?) and the pointing thing the officals do after a score always amused me . could never pick up the nuances of the game though
