So I was just visiting Edge bank and saw this lvl 108 with trimmed fishing cape shouting ~I'm cleaned give some trash~ apparently he was macroing because he typed fast.. so I noticed to stop macroing first.. he said he didn't macro and started calling me neeb while typing other text the differ between textes were about 1 sec text was about this lenght in his begging text was like this ''Aaabeeceedeeeefffggghhjjkkllmmnnooeeeeee'' so I bet he couldn't do that.

 

the thing I'm ranting about is

 

1.Useless macroing and insulting

 

2.Having 99 fishing but he can't go fish sharks??

 

3.BEGGING, lvl 108 begs? why??

 

that's pathetic for high lvls. I thought they would be more kind..

To be honest with you this aint't all that rant worthy.... basically you met a guy who was a bit of an imature idiot..... it has nothing to do with the fact that he is a high level..... he is just an idiot.

 

 

 

There are alot of idiots in this game, they are found in every single player group, people just tend to pick up on a few people are extrapolate that personality to everybody eles...

 

 

 

 

 

Most new players arnt "Noobs" but the few that there are are so public it gets taken and twisted to become "all new players are noobs"

 

 

 

Most high levels are not Rude and arogant...... but a few are and medium leveled player often apply this to the entire high level group.

 

 

 

Most player mods are great community members who truely want to help and do good.... but the few who abuse their position have left us in the situation of "OMG all player mods are idiots!!!"

 

 

 

 

 

In future I ask you to treat every single person as an individual..... people don't fit into nice little tidy groups, there are people who you will not get allong with in all walks of life.

Well said, and i agree with the guy who said the acc was most likely stolen (or bought), I would just rather take a stab at people who post stuff like this then point out the reasons for it happening.

However, I somewhat believe that responsibility of acting mature lies upon those of higher level or status more than it does on those of the opposite status. My reasoning behind this is that they are most of the time looked up to as role models. Since we'd like to act like or imitate our role model in some respects, if somemore people were courteous; specifically those people, and maybe, hopefully in due time, the newer players coming in will see the behaviour exhibited by them and follow along.

and the low level jerks are usually what cause the high levels to turn jerk, if you think about it.

 

if you're 100+, chances are a low level who is a jerk is going to beg off you. with a lot of low levels begging off you, chances are you'll act like a jerk to get them away from you. those low levels then go and whine about it, which is what gave high levels the stereotype of being jerks.

108 isnt high, I made 108 in 5 months. Pounded trolls every night for 100k exp worth, takes about 1.5 hours with pots. (I was 124 pre-pc)

 

 

 

typically, in the past (pre-pc) high levels were older players who had the time, patience and dedication to devote to a character, to develop high levels, thus a more mature person, less idiotic conversationalist.

 

 

 

now with pc, mr 12 yo can get from 50-120 in a short time period, and thinks he is special and better then others, you have to remember, he's 12, and for the first time in his wee lil life, he is "powerful". Seldom can they handle it, and tend to display multiple immature antics in game.

 

 

 

 

 

idiots and jerks come in all combat levels, seeing more at the higher levs now because of how easy combat became after release of pc.

Report/Ignore List... very easy to do, and even if they are a high lv, it gives them no right to bend the rules.

good guess, 38yo. military professional who enjoys a quiet game at night after the kids are in bed. By the way, just to educate you, national study conducted in USA in 2005 showed average gamer is 30, not 12. ...and 40% are women. also my wife plays (teacher). she also enjoys a bit of RS at night. My entire friends list is 123+, all adults and I belong to 3 all adult clans....so wake up and realize that while most of the nubz playing may be 12 yos who havent gone outside except to clamber aboard the school bus, and play RS, adults have the time, and desire to play it, and many many do. Take a peek at the top 500, most I suspect are adults....there is a reason for that. lesson done.
