For example: Dumbperson101:You noob dont shoot the cannon! Dumbperson101:FFs you are making us lose points. Me:Prove it... Dumbperson101 had just logged out. Then they go to say something about me going to read the rules, well it says anyone can shoot the cannon and it never mention losing points. And I could understand someone saying something like no because in the advanced breakdown it show Eggs Exploded. Well to anyone that thinks that means eggs shot, it means when the collector picks up the wrong egg or has a full inventory and tries to pick one up. Smapla Posted October 20, 2007 Share Posted October 20, 2007 By shooting the cannon at monsters, you are eliminating potential points for your team. you recieve points for defence, for example, for how many runners you kill. if someone kills them with the cannon, then they have lost the potential points for killing that runner. Saying that the runner was going to get through. I suppose that there are certain times when shooting it is unorthodox and it can help. BUT the point is saying you actually lose points not not get them. And by letting the runners get past, the entire team (including the defender) loses even more points What I absolutely hate about this issue is how this all started with losing POTENTIAL points. And now, because so many idiots are simply minding, it's become a belief that firing the cannon acctually deducts points. How can people be such idiots? You chose the wrong rant to bring this kind of arrogance in. It is a problem, because of some dumb rumor now tons of people have the wrong idea. It would be fine if they just made a lot of noise about it, but some idiots will go as far as to kick you off the team for using the cannon. By not shooting the cannon the collector loses points. It's a lose/lose situation unless you shot the attackers monsters. If the defender, healer, or collector lose points the team loses points. And it's funny because most of the time when you fire it you get the Runners (because the Healers are fairly easy killed by the healers) and the Defender isn't the one complaining. I let the defender have a extra minute or so to try and get all the runners if all the other jobs are done but after that I just want it to get over with and shot at them. It's just like the old PC rumour that using specials on portals gives more spinners. Some idiot just started the rumour and now almost everyone on w6 believes it.
