Hello and thank you for reading this guide! In it, I will explain you how kill the 4 Boss Monsters in the God Wars Dungeon to possibly get the rare drops they can give, and how not to spend money uselessly while doing so.

Before you start reading, I would like to ask you a favor.

If you loved this guide, and it helped you to go to the God Wars Dungeon, please post a little message to say it. It's short, it makes me happy and it keeps the guide bumped for the other people that may want to read it. Thanks in advance ::'.

Little note before starting...

[hide=Click here]THIS IS - EXTREMELY - DANGEROUS. IF YOU DIE, YOU WILL LOSE ALL YOUR ITEMS, EXEPT THE THREE MOST VALUABLE ONES. DON'T BRING ANY ITEM THAT YOU ARE SCARED TO LOSE. SERIOUSLY.[/hide]

To be able to succeed at God Wars Dungeon, you must be an experimented warrior, and have a team to help you (About 5 people). If you never went there before, I recommend going to God Wars Dungeon with 3 items, just to see how it works. That way, you will understand much better how it is and could save you millions.

Protecting Armour

In order to make your journey to God Wars Dungeon much easier, you can wear armour of a specific god, which will make his followers unagressive to you. However, the Boss of each God's Dungeon will attack you whatever your wearing. Here's a list of armour you can wear to avoid the multiple attacks of the numberous monsters in the God Wars Dungeon. You also get a +1 boost of your prayer when you pray at the God Wars Altars for each item of the colors of the specific God you are wearing.

[hide=Bandos's Armour]-Ancient Mace (Obtainable from Another Piece of Ham Quest)

-Bandos Armour (Chestplate, Tassets and/or Boots)

-Bandos Godsword[/hide]

[hide=Armadyl's Armour]-Armadyl Pendant (Obtainable during Temple of Ikov Quest)

-Armadyl Armour (Chestplate, Legs or Helmet)

-Armadyl Godsword shouldn't be used there since ranging is the only truly successful method out there.[/hide]

-Saradomin Cape (From Mage Arena)

-Holy Symbol (Must be Blessed)

A Quick Explanation of the Route to Take

[hide=Getting There]The best way to get there is to use Trollheim Teleport (Eadgar's Ruse must be Completed). You can use the shortcuts to the east to get there faster. You must then go North until you see Trolls. Turn on Range Prayer on until you see a big boulder. You need at least 60 Strength to move it. Click on it and then turn Melee Prayer on when you see the wolves. Go to the (!) sign. If it's your first time there, use a rope on the hole. If not, climb down. The adventure begins...

[hide=Description of the Beast]newbandosimagepn3.png

"If you need evidence that the god wars were a much harsher time than modern day, look no further than this enormous beast. No one knows what General Graardor is, but it is safe to assume that during the god wars he was truly favoured by Bandos. His massive frame is well armoured and, like a true devotee of the carnage of close combat, he fights almost exclusively with his fists."

General Graardor is an incredibly powerful monster. He uses both Melee and Ranged attacks, and is helped by 3 other monsters, each one using either Melee, Ranged or Magic. He is also resistant to poison.[/hide]

Red Circle=Best Kill Count Spot(s)

Blue Circle=Boss Lair

Green Rectangle=Bandos Lair Entrance

Yellow Rectangle=Boss Area Entrance

To have access to the Boss Lair, you must have killed 40 of the monsters following the same god. It is called a Kill Count. You must get a Kill Count every time you open the Boss's Lair Door. If you teleport out of the God Wars Dungeon, your killcount will dissapear. The best place to get your Kill Count for Bandos is at the Zamorak's Lair entrance (Ice Bridge), where there are 3 Goblins and an Ogre, or, if that area is already taken, an area with 4 hobgoblins.

aViEIUS.gifgodwarsogrekn0.gifgoblinvy0.gif[/hide]

[hide=Killing The Boss]Graardor uses two different attacks. The first one is a powerful single-target punch Melee Attack. He always does it on the same person (the tank), and that's why he should use melee prayer. The second attack is a multi-target Ranged Attack. Graardor bangs the floor and ice shards fly at everybody. Everybody exept the one being punched should use ranged prayer.

When you have finished getting your 40 kills, make everybody from your team put LootShare on. Drink a dose of Saradonim Brew, then a dose or Super Restore, then a dose of Super Attack and Super Strength.

Go to the Bandos Dungeon entrance, put Magic Prayer on, bang the door with your hammer, and go to the boss's door. The first person entering the lair in your team (tank) should put Melee Prayer on until Graardor attacks him. Then everybody should enter with range prayer on. Turn on Chivalry or Piety if you can.

Use your Dragon Dagger special attacks on Graardor, then swap for whip. ALWAYS WATCH YOUR HEALTH! When he is down, check the rewards. After, kill every other monsters. Go most North-West possible. The person in your team which is attacked by Graador then goes in the middle of the lair. Wait for him to respawn. Always check your prayer too. if you run out of prayer, teleport right away. There is an altar that refills your prayer every 10 minutes. When the monsters spawn back, do the same thing.

If everything goes perfectly, the tank should only be damaged by Graardor's ranged attacks, and the minions's magic and ranged attacks, and the other players by the minions's melee and magic attacks.

Drink Boosting Potions in same order everytime your stats are close to your real ones.

If your familiar's timer ends, take a sip of summoning potion (or super restore potion) and summon a new one, then give the items to the new familiar.

When you are done, teleport to your house, and use whatever teleport you have in your house, or use Lumbridge Home Port.[/hide]

Killing Zamorak's Minion

[hide=Description of the Beast]newzammyimagenh1.png

"If you were in any doubt that the God Wars Dungeon was challenge enough for you, look no further than the giant demon, K'ril Tsutsaroth. Once thought of as nothing more than a myth, this beast of the darkness has destroyed towns and levelled entire cities, leaving nobody alive to confirm his existence. This intense brutality and strength has ensured his position as one of Zamorak's most feared tools of destruction. His powerful melee attacks will crush all but the strongest of warriors."

This demon is the second most powerful monster in all Runescape. Being assisted by 3 other monsters, K'ril Tsutsaroth must absolutely not be underestimated. He uses Magic and Melee attacks. He is immune to poison and can hit over 50. He also has a special attack that hits through protection prayers. The damage inflicted by this devastating attack also hits your prayer! Be very careful and keep your prayer high at all time.[/hide]

* Be sure to have at least 1 armour piece protecting from Saradomin and 1 protecting from Zamorak.

You can also swap your Helmet of Neitiznot for a Slayer Mask if you have a Lesser Demon slayer task since he counts as a lesser demon (Don't ask me why, but yes, he's a Lesser Demon).[/hide]

The Kill Count in this area is easy, but long. Find and kill 40 imps inside the dungeon. There are 4 of them spawning in there. Before you reach the dungeon, while other monsters attack you, don't be scared of using all the prayer you can, since it will be drained in the dungeon anyway.

aViEoXJ.gif[/hide]

[hide=Killing The Boss]K'ril Tsutsaroth has three different attacks. The first one is a Melee Single-Target attack. It hits over 50, so everybody should use Melee Protect Prayer since he always changes who he's attacking. It looks like he hits you with his claws. The second one is a Single-Target Magic Attack. It looks like the melee attack, but with a trail of red light following his arm as he hits. The third one is also a Melee attack, but it hits through Protection Prayer, and also hits your prayer! this is why you should always keep your prayer high, just like your hitpoints. This special attack can hit over 50. You can know when he uses his special attack, because K'ril Tsutsaroth will scream "YARRRRR!".

When you have finished getting your 40 kills, make everybody from your team put LootShare on. Drink a dose of Saradonim Brew, then a dose or Super Restore, then a dose of Super Attack and Super Strength. Go to the Boss's Lair entrance, put Melee Prayer on and enter. Killing Armadyl's Titan

[hide=Description of the Beast]newarmaimageff1.png

"Kree'arra was one of Armadyl's most trusted generals and must have been an enormous advantage in battle. His massive size and ability to ignore many of Zamorak's soldiers are the great strength of Armadyl's forces, and Kree'arra embodies them perfectly. With this mighty weapon, the Order and Law that Armadyl represents can be imposed upon those who defy him."

The word Titan is well-chosen for a monster that is immune to melee attacks and can use all three forms of combat. Kree'arra is immune to poison and is assisted by 3 very powerful aviansie warriors.[/hide]

Amulet of Fury > Amulet of Glory > God Stole > Armadyl Pendant (Always use Armadyl Pendant if you don't have armadyl armour)

Rune Crossbow: Good Ranged Attack and Strength.

Armadyl's Plate Body > Blessed D-Hide Top > Karil's Leathertop > Black D-Hide Top

Barrow Gloves > Blessed D-Hide Vambraces

Snakeskin Boots = The only real choice there. Bring Ranger Boots at your own risk.

Ring of life > Archer Ring

Notes :

-You need at least 1 item of Zamorak and Armadyl.

-I do not suggest bringing a Robin Hood Hat or Ranger Boots at all since they are treasaure trail items with a very low shop value, and still very costly, so you will lose them if you die.[/hide]

68 Slayer or Over :

In order to get your killcount, go into the Armadyl Area, and go in front of the door to the Boss's lair. Kill the two Spiritual Warriors close of there. They barely never hit and their max damage is 5 (before, it used to be a max damage of 1, but Jagex changed it)

armadylspiritualwarriortl8.gif[/hide]

[hide=Killing The Boss]Kree'arra has 3 different attacks. The first one, his Melee Attack, is barely never used because he only uses it when there's only one person attacking him. The second one is a Multi-Target Ranged Attack that looks like a tornado. It hits in the 60's. That's why everybody should use Range Protect Prayer. The third one is a Multi-Target Magic Attack which hits around 20. It looks like a blue tornado and can move you around the dungeon.

When you have finished getting your 40 kills, make everybody from your team put LootShare on. Drink a dose of Saradonim Brew and then a dose or Super Restore. Use your Mithril Grapple to enter the dungeon if you were outside, and run to the door. Enter the Boss's lair.

Keep Ranged Prayer and turn on Eagle Eye and equip your Ruby-Tipped Adamant Bolts. Stay far enough of Kree'arra so he doesnt use melee attacks on you. WATCH YOUR HEALTH AND PRAYER!

When Kree'arra is at half-health, switch to plain Adamant Bolts (Diamond-Tipped if you have). When he is down, check the rewards. After, kill the three aviansie minions. Make your teammates stand in each corner. Wait for him to respawn. Always check your prayer, too. If you run out of prayer, teleport right away. There is an altar that refills your prayer every 10 minutes. When the monsters spawn back, do the same thing. Drink potions in same order everytime your stats are close to your real ones.

Killing Saradomin's Warlord

[hide=Description of the Beast]newsaraimagely5.png

"Zilyana goes under many names and titles, but her favourite is that of Keeper of the Faith, a charge bestowed on her by Saradomin himself. Taking this role very seriously indeed, Zilyana is most adept at defending it with her sword. Tempered by her own tears, her sword flashes between ribs and across sides with supernatural speed, delivering divine justice with a sharpened tip."

This warrior devoted to Saradomin masters both Melee and Magic attacks. She is immune to poison and is assisted by three Fierce Beasts. Commander Zilyana is the least fought Boss because of the level 70 agility requirement to enter her lair.[/hide]

-Diamond Bolts : For the second half of Zilyana's Hitpoints

-Abyssal Whip : For the Killcount, bring a Godsword if you want.

-Guthan Spear and Plate : To heal on the Helpers.

-4 Prayer Potions (4)

-10 Saradomin Brews (4)

-6 Super Restores (4)

-Home Teleport Tablets : To teleport after trip of for emergency.

-Tireless Run Scrolls : To recharge your energy points when running from Zilyana.

-Teleport Runes to Trollheim.

-You can also bring a Zamorak Godsword to freeze her (explained below)[/hide]

[hide=Your Familiar's Inventory]Some familiars can hold a certain numbers of items for you, letting you carry a bigger inventory, and thus making longer trips. However, in Saradomin Lair, you cannot go down the ropes to the lair with a familiar.

To bring extra items, you must dismiss your familiar at the entrance of the dungeon and let his dropped items on floor, go to the boss door, drop as many items as your familiar holds, go back up, pick the items, go back down, summon a familiar and make him hold as many items he can, and pick up the items on floor.

Don't bring a Familiar other than Spirit Terrorbird. You need to use the Tireless Run Scrolls in order to run from Zilyana effectively.

spiritterrorbirdyd0.gif

-Spirit Terrorbird-

The Spirit Terrorbird can hold an extra 12 items, and recharge your run energy of 30% for every Tireless Run scroll you use, which is very useful in Saradomin's Encampment. Here's a good inventory setup :

terrorbirdsaraoi6.gif

-5 Spirit Terrorbird Pouches

-5 Saradomin Brews

-1 Super Restore Potion

-1 Regular Restore Potion (When you need to restore your skills, but have full prayer)[/hide]

[hide=Getting Your Kill Count]The way to get your Kill Count depends on your slayer level. This killcount is quite long to get. You can do some damage to the Saradomin Monsters attacked by the Zamorak ones and let the Zamorak Monsters do the rest, and you will get the killcount, even if the monster does more damage than you.

Level 1 -62 Slayer : Saradomin Knights

Level 63-82 : Spiritual Rangers, Warriors and Knights. Keep an eye for rune drops from Warrior.

Level 83-99 : Spiritual Mages. Keep an eye for Dragon Boots.

saradominknightjh0.gifsaradominspiritualrangeuc9.gifsaradominspiritualwarriqu1.gifsaradominspiritualmageab4.gif[/hide]

[hide=Killing Commander Zilyana]Zilyana can hit you with two different attacks. The first one is a devastatingly fast and accurate melee attack. It might just hit 31, but it hits as fast as darts and high defence armour won't make it really less accurate. The second one is a Multi-Target Magic Attack. It looks like lightnings striking everybody in the room, just like the Saradomin Sword's special attack.

When you finished killing 40 Saradomin monsters a dose of Saradomin Brew and then a dose of Super Restore Potion. Turn on Magic Protect Prayer and enter Commander Zilyana's Lair. You can use "Eagle Eye" if you want.

Position your team on the west wall. Wait for Zilyana to spawn, then make the whole team attack her.

If she is heading to you, run away from her to avoid all her attacks until she runs to someone else, who who will the same thing as you just did, while the un-attacked players kill her. Take in mind that if you get too close of her, she will attack you and keep heading to you until you manage to run completely away from her for about 10 seconds.

If you have a Zamorak Godsword, use your special attack to freeze her, so the player she is heading for can stay 2 spaces away from Zilyana and avoid running.

If you are only a few in the team with a Zamorak Godsword, you can lend it to another person so he uses his special attack bar too (always set duration to ''until logout'') and give it back to you by using it on you. Keep in mind that if he accidentally logs out, your Zamorak Godsword will be shipped directly to your bank account, making you weaponless.

When she is dead, put your full guthan set and heal on a minion. If you don't succeed at healing enough, drink some brew doses, and then a dose of Super Restore.

If your familiar's timer ends, drink a dose of summoning potion (or Super Restore Potion), summon another familiar and make the new familiar hold the items if it was a beast of burden.

When your team is done, use your House Teleport Tablet to teleport out.[/hide]

Soloing The God Wars Bosses

Soloing these creatures is reserved to the very talented and skilled warriors. The advantages of this is that all the rewards you get are yours to keep, and you don't take the risk that someone runs away with the loot without sharing with his teammates. However, this is very dangerous. The risk of death is very high. You also make shorter trips and use more food.

[hide=Soloing at Bandos's Stronghold]To kill General Graardor all by yourself, it is very recommended to have the following skills :

-90 Attack

-85 Strength

-90 Defence

-90 Hitpoints

You can solo with lower levels, but the danger of death is bigger, and the loot lesser.

Always watch your health as 4 monsters will attack you with melee, range and magic attacks. Keep melee prayer on at all times, as General Graardor can hit over 60 with his melee attacks. Keep your health very high at all times. Run under him when healing so he has a hard time attacking you, thus making your healing easier.[/hide]

[hide=Soloing at Zamorak's Fortress]To kill K'ril Tsutsaroth by yourself, it is very recommended to have the following skills :

-85 Attack

-80 Strength

-85 Defence

-85 Hitpoints

-70 Prayer

You can solo with lower levels, but the danger of death is bigger, and the loot lesser.

This monster is very dangerous to solo as he has an attack which drains your prayer. Use Melee Protect Prayer. Keep both your Health and Prayer very high at all times. A good idea is to bring Tuna Potatoes instead of Sharks. Keep your potted stats high, especially defence.[/hide]

[hide=Soloing at Armadyl's Eyrie]To kill Kree'arra alone, it is very recommended to have the following skills :

-90 Ranging

-90 Defence

-90 Hitpoints

You can solo with lower levels, but the danger of death is bigger, and the loot lesser.

This is the most dangerous monster to solo at God Wars Dungeon. Keep Range Prayer on at all times. Heal everytime possible. Keep your Hitpoints high, and drink a Super Restore Potion dose evey time you drink a Saradomin Brew dose (Note : If you drink two Saradomin Brew doses at same time to heal twice, use Super Restore Potion once only at the last drink.) In order to block his Melee attacks, block him behind one of his minions. He will only use Ranged and Magic attacks. If he starts Meleeing you again, run to another spot and get him stuck back again.[/hide]

[hide=Soloing at Saradomin's Encampment]Skills :

-90+ Range

-90+ Defence

-90+ Hitpoints

-70+ Prayer

To solo Zilyana, first stand on the south wall. Let her come to you while you attack her, and when she is almost meleeing you, run to the north wall. Continue attacking her until she almost reaches you, and repeat until she is dead.[/hide]

The Rewards!

In reward for killing these incredibly strong beasts, you could get some of the pieces of armour that the ancient warriors used to wear at wars, and pieces of the best weapon in Runescape : The Godsword. These objects are extremely powerful and valuable.

[hide=Bandos's Rewards]General Graardor is equipped with extremely powerful armour, and might let you have a piece of it upon his death. This armour set is constituted of a Chestplate, Tassets and a pair of Boots. This armour not only gives incredible Defence Bonus, but also Strength and Prayer Bonus.

Other GWD tips

-This guide isn't ''objective'', you can edit your armour and inventory as you want. This is just a rough draft of what is good.

-You can bring a few regular Restore Potions when using Saradomin Brews to heal. They are useful if you have full prayer and don't want to waste a Super Restore dose. They are cheaper and also heal drained stats better than Super Restores, at the exeption of Prayer and Summoning.

-Some people may prefer using Ranged to kill General Graardor and K'ril Tsutsaroth. I find Melee more effective but if you don't have good Melee stats, you can also range them.

On the guides for Zamorak and Armadyl, you have said the green rectangles are the entrance to the Bandos Lair, instead of the right god. I also think you should have finished the guide and offered different methods, I think using sharks is less effective than brews and super restores.

In answer to your post :

Thank you for the comment about the Bandos Lair. I had copied/pasted and forgot to change name. However, I think you didn't read correctly my guide. It clearly says it isn't finished yet and I clearly said my method was the best way to do God Wars without ruining yourself. If you think using super restore potions (12k each) and saradonim brews (3k ea), that's your choice, but I think this is not the best way at all since it's very costly and saradomin brews drain your potted stats. Rating my guide before I even finished it? :shame:

In my opinion you shouldn't post a guide until it is finished, otherwise you could be giving invalid information to someone. And I still can't find where it says about doing GWD without ruining yourself...

I would suggest switching the zammy setup to sara book and zammy chaps because of the better mage def on sara book and the prayer bonus is the same. Other then that very good guide 8/10.

Could you add solo requirements and approximate drop rates? I want to do armadyl, but have no team. Would it be possible for me to solo the boss?

Also, does the boss and it's minions attack you on sight if you have an item that nullifies aggresiveness towards that faction? That would be nice to know before I rush in.

At level 104, you would have a hard time soloing god wars bosses, especially Armadyl's boss, Kree'arra. The god wars bosses and helpers will attack you whatever you're wearing. I will consider your post. Thanks a million times for posting :D .

Sure a 104 might be weak against the bosses solo style, What would be the minimum required stats for a "safe" solo trip to these scary monsters. Sure want to do them, but im kinda not sure if im able to do it.

Thanks a lot for your comments. I'll probably add a paragraph about soloing them. Right now, I believe you should have 110+ Combat to Solo General Graardor or Commander Zilyana, and 115+ with good defence for K'ril Tsutsaroth or Kree'arra.

I solo'd kree'ara at 100 cb and a friend of mine did it at 98 cb

I'm ranking your guide as 5/10, because a lot of your information seems to be theorized and not practised. I see information taken from a combination of guides, I am beginning to have doubts this is your collection of intelligence at all.

Sorry but that's my opinion it's nothing personal I am a very hard marker.

For starters the kree guide is totally off

You shouldn't need to up your range attack you should concentrate on the mage defense so a zammy book is unsuccessful at being required. Also you have WAYYYYYY too many sharks, those should be sara brews and your sara brews should be sharks. The NW isn't the most effective corner to stand, it should be based on keeping kree in the middle and having 1 person per corner or 1 on either side of the WEST>EAST sections of the room.

When kree'ara is 50 % hp you have to switc your bolts to addy otherwise you risk mass damage which is unnesscary because you wont be hitting kree'ara for the full grandeur of the spec. In other words ruby e bolts are for high hp-full hp targets but when they go down you have to switch over to something else.

A ranged pot is not required, though some swear by them the sara brew effect quickly cancels them out so they should be used sparingly.

In order to get your Kill Count, use your mithril grapple to enter Armadyl's Dungeon. Equip your Adamant Bolts and kill 40 low-levels aviansies using Range Prayer. Pick up the adamant bars as they are valuable

This is also unadvised, personally, because you don't need armadyl protection technically because you want them to attack you and if you have your prayer on then you shouldnt require to have protection from armadyl. It's better replaced with a fury.

Also by entering the encampment you risk being attacked by the mages and the zammy team can kill your aviansies on the other side so its better to stand over there anyway.

In the inventory section there is wayyyyyyyyy too many p pots, you should only need 2 at lvl 60+ prayer at max for requiring KC then restores should be used after that when needed. You should also have a bolt pouch and only take about under 250 bolts with you including the kind for slaying aviansies, this saves a lot of space.

Also you don't mention the cwars trick in your guide for replacing the runes with food or pots

Sara coif should also be a zammy coif imo if you want to take a sara book for mage defense.

I don't know what to say for the rest of the guide but from this and my evidence above I can determine that this isn't a very well written or practised guide.

I doubt with your inventory set up you could stay for more than 2-3 sets of kree'ara.

If the rest of the guide has been written with this poorness then I'd rank you lower but imo the Armadyl boss guide is totally incorrect.

One more thing

You asked for it:

Thank you for posting, however, I'd appreciate you'd tell me what to make better instead of just saying "Ok guide".

:) I like your pictures, llay out and maps though.

Thank you for your post. I will change my guide to include your idea of switching plain addy bolts when Kree'arra at half health, and the bolt pouch idea.

Please note I tested all bosses exept Zilyana, as I don't have 70 agility. Friends helped me on that one.

Bringing a Fury Amulet to the God Wars Dungeon is however a very bad idea to my opinion. I understand Armadyl Amulet isn't necessary, but a glory amulet would be far less risky and almost just as good. I will add another inventory option to Kree'arra. There will now be the "Cheap Way" and the "Costly Way", using saradomin brews instead of sharks  .

I decided to remove the shark method of the Kree'arra killing method. I will only present the way with Saradomin Brews now. Kree'arra is very powerful and should be fought using the Saradomin Brew method or trips will be very short. I still suggest sharks for other dungeons, altought.

There is a better way to kill the sara commander. Have your people spread out and the person shes after run around the arena with protect from mage on. she will chase him and as long as he is not caught he wont get hit with her melee!
