new skill Trust

Trust level:

This interesting idea was born as a result of discussion about the problem of Real world trading.

This idea will allow Jagex to supervise players, and it should satisfy all fair players of Runescape.

Short description of the idea:

In order not consider all players identical, a new level must be added - a level that shows how much the player can be trusted.

Trust level will show how trustworthy the player is.

Trust level will be influenced by many factors, such as: total time online, Overall and Combat levels, quantity of black marks and many other criterions. It can not only increase, but also decrease depending on what the player does. If players actions are suspicious, his Trust level decreases.

How to use the Trust level.

Like some areas, weapons and armour have restrictions to use, the Wilderness will need a certain Trust level to enter.

If the Trust level is high, then the player is allowed a greater unbalance in trade, the time interval between unbalanced trades is reduced, and the duel arena stakes are allowed to be larger.

Everywhere where it is necessary to enter restrictions - they can be different for players with different Trust levels.

All newly created accounts are given 0 Trust level, and the maximum of restrictions. As the char develops, his trust level grows and the amount of restrictions decreases.

Account with low Trust lvl can receive help from other players, but cant give money/items if the disbalance is more than allowed.

This way Jagex can limit most of the suspicious players and bots, but fair players wont be affected.

Also people will compete and try to increase their Trust level, this will lead to general increase of culture in Runescape

Probably this idea will help Runescape and its players.

If you like it idea - help in 24-25-132-54865774

come on guys! stop flaming him....

I think your idea seems alright. I mean it is a bit complicated but, it could work out. I feel that every player should have the same basic rights as right now. But if your trust level is high, then those players have some extra freedom.

Dont confuse this with an unfair advantage.

Also, it doesnt need to be a skill. It can be just a number. How about something simpler like the total amount of playtime and number of blackmarks and some crazy formula that spits out a number between 0 and 100?

Its an ok idea. just expand on it a little bit.

dumbest thing i have ever heard of....

Amen. This would be abused so much....

Would you care to explain why? Instead of just calling his idea dumb maybe you might want to say why or what are some flaws in it? Don't be so immature calling this dumb when you can't even explain why it is!

This wouldn't work out to well, even though it would help bring out more nice and trusted people in runescape it can be abused like people just gving random stuff out away.

Those are the same people who say those Unhelpful Comments in all suggestions by others here in Tip.It Forum. =;

They simply dont understand how simple the explanation is. <.< :XD:

This is a great idea! Keep it updated in how this will be more possible.

MY IDEA:

Example...

1. If person carries alot of money in the wilderness...(this is likely gonna be a real-world trader who sells rs coins for real cash..and sells them in the wild)....thus this player will get A DECREASED TRUST LEVEL as soon as he passed the wilderness boundary...hence, this player will NOT be able to get an unbalance trade! easy!!!

2. If a person carries lots of food in the wild...(he is likely going to sell his food at higher prices than in the GE)...since this player is not violating against the rules...this player will however get an INCREASED TRUST LEVEL as soon as he passed the wilderness boundary...hence, this player WILL BE ALLOWED to get an unbalanced trade to profit his efforts. easy!!!!

Why this is a horrible idea? Do they really have to explain?

Hell, anyway, I'll explain the many many flaws in this idea:

First of all, as stated before, people would just plain power-level the skill (Apparently starting at 0? :-s Explain that?) and of course that wouldn't stop macroers and goldfarmers  ... It would just be another hindrance for legit players to be able to trade and a useless skill dealing with... merchanting? #-o

Alright, here are a few things you need to know.

Gold-farmers actually are not breaking any rules until they sell the gold. Therefore goldfarmers would still easily be able to train the skill to 70 easily (there are at least 3 goldfarmers with 99 runecrafting not banned) and sell the gold anyway, it would barely slow them down considering all they really do is... well... play RuneScape for the sake of... farming... gold...

As for macroers, what's to keep them for also macroing this skill, and then going out to macro other skills, or vice-versa. In fact they can also get 70 pretty easily. It wouldn't slow them down much either.

Also, this would be (from what you're saying) based on other skills or exclusively PvP. We don't want an exclusively PvP skills, hence why all other skills can be done without any player intervention. If you wanted to base a skill off of QPs or other skills, how would this stop macroers? They get high skills by macroing... Gold farmers get high levels from leveling. If a total level was required, macroing all other levels minus the main one to 40 would be a snap, and same goes for gold farmers. It would be way to easily avoided. It would only be a pest to legit players, and macroers likewise, but it wouldn't be worth it

The only new requirement that would happen is if a player was starting a new pker/staker/skiller that they planned on buying gold for, they'd have to power-train this useless skill first. Slow them down? Idk... Raise their total level is certainly. As for main's buying gold, well who cares, they have a high total-level/QPs  ...

Again, it would just be a pest to both macroers and legit players likewise, there's no need for a new skill like this. Definitely not an exclusively PvP skill that begins at 0

Hopefully that's a good enough explanation for the people who say the "just say no" argument isn't good enough. Stating an opinion should be quite enough if you ask me, reasons are just extra if you feel like educating people as to seeing the future ::'

Lol? Macroers play the game 24 hours non-stop.. If this was implemented they would automatically have like 99 Trust or something..

Macroing levels is easy. If macroers had to reach lvl 60 or lvl 150 total lvl they could do it in a day probably..

Furthermore, the mains buying the gold already have total lvls+probably a decent combat lvl too.. as well as quest points..

Soon everone cant trade more 3k.....

It bad if some people who have 2000 total, and play more 5 yearts will have lil more?...

Especially since many of them still are [wagon].

YOU HAVE TO LEARN THIS:

Levels or playing time do NOT have anything to do with trust.
