best way to raise summoning, do slayer along side it raise both, case closed :)

It's a good long term soloution but people want summoning levels as fast as possible, especially straight after release

Anyway I've been experimenting at brutal green dragons and the following are the rates I found (please note the kills after the one hour mark were not counted). They drop TWO charms per kill and have a very nice drop rate (though I hit an extremely unlucky string of kills on my third trip). The "------" mark when I banked. I didn't count other drops just charms.

So yeah, if you need some cash, gold and green charms I think this is a pretty good place to go. I'm putting this in my guide, I just thought it might be more useful put here aswell.

I wasn't using a Canon where I was, the Canon was from Fire Giants at Waterfall, I was testing them, the Pic axe was mining for Iron Ore (GE empty)

Ok so i did the quest, got to level 16. And now im stuck, lack of charms. I'm at the fire giants, who claim to have a high drop rate. Pfft, they have about 80% chance to drop ONE gold charm.

You might have found a great place to train or you might simply have spent 5 hours at the fire giants, kept the original 275 gold from pikupstix and added some prayer pots for "intrigue"... Either way it's utterly meaningless without indications of time spent, location, drop ratio etc. All your screenshot proves is that you have collected 700+ Gold Charms, which might, if you're lucky get you up to 25 summoning - Nice one, well done you.

On topic, Bloodvelds seem to have a drop rate of about 40-50% (based on 300+kills) and of those dropped the majority are green.

Nechs seem to drop at about the same rate (if anything slightly lower in my opinion) and the majority of the charms dropped by them are crimson.

Blue charms appear to be a semi-rare drop for most mid-high level slayer monsters (those that drop other charms obviously).

After a 183 Aberrant's task:

15 Gold Charms

9 Green Charms

10 Crimson Charms

9 Blue Charms

Not tooo bad I guess.

I think i'll focus on my goal of achieving 99 Attack and then do some mass summoning and see where it takes me.

Mithril dragons are a 100% drop rate. Each charms are dropped in 4s. Blues are slightly more common than I have seen from other monsters.

Regardless, they are a pain to kill. But i'm not training summoning at the moment anyway so i just collect while I go for my visage or full helm.

No, i had a few Charm-less drops so far.

Some people dream of success, while others make it happen.
