Zonorhc Posted February 6, 2008 Share Posted February 6, 2008 Actually, the idea behind iambic pentameter is that it has five "feet" of two syllables each, following the pattern of unstressed-stressed. Simply having ten syllables per line won't do it - it has to sound as close to natural speech as possible.
