emmanuel1233
well its the parents blame for not giving that kid his meds and leaving a gun in the house where the kids know where it is :notalk: . the parents should be charged with the full extent of thy law! :shame: and the kid should really be spanked \ \
matt1991
i knew before i opened this topic it would be somewhere in the US :? the parents fault for not keeping the gun in a safe place, they should lose their right to own a gun.
Mat
Here we go, people blaming the american government for everything. It is not the government's fault. The shotgun was most likely for hunting uses, or something similar. The parents should have kept it in a safe place though. It is 50% parents 50% child. Not a accident either, i don't think. Trollface
That's just really stupid. I would only shoot my sister if she tried to kill me outside of RuneScape or MapleStory, which is really unlikely

mrmyk
Haha, funny thing, the human brain that is. I still remember this topic from old tip.it. Yeah, was quite funny in a strange, perverted way. Anyway, wow. A few months back in Mitcham a father was killed after asking a neighbour for his son's football back after he hit it over a fence. Crazy stuff. Kriegsmier
I missed this. How old was the kid? Seeing as how he knew how to use the gun, sure its partly his fault. Blame the parents as well. Only BBQ Chips are worth shooting over. ;)

Only BBQ Chips are worth shooting over. ;) It's not hard to shoot a gun. Pull the trigger. Assuming it's loaded. And he could just look up on the internet how to use it as long as he knows what model it was.
Kriegsmier
Just looked it up. He was 10. Early enough age to know about guns and gun saftey as well as how to fire one. I'll put most of the blame on the parents though for leaving a loaded shotgun out in the open withen reach of a 10 year old. Even in an emergency, its not hard to load the gun. Leave it unloaded with the safety on. Or better yet LOCKED UP! Figures, it was in South Carolina.

Harrington
I remember when I used to be shocked by stories like these... now I don't even batter an eyelid. I'm so numbed by the crap that happens in the world today, that I simply don't really care any more. The parents should have the book thrown at them though, for what it's worth. NickCini
Haha, funny thing, the human brain that is. I still remember this topic from old tip.it. LOL @ Idea you were laughing at a child shooting a child. In the face. I remember in the late 90's on Casualty (English hospital drama show) there was a similar story, guns are dangerous tbh. I have a couple handy weapons in my house incase of a burglar lol (not least of which is a 7 stone half rottweiler half french mastiff) but I would be apprehensive at having a gun in my home.
