IeatWindex
Harry Potter series. Inheritance series. Darren Shan saga. Demonata series. Maximum Ride series. The zombie survival guide. Just out of curiosity, what is it about Darren Shan you enjoy so much? I just really don't get them. I'm not completly sure why I like the Darren Shan books so much, I like alot of things without knowing why I like them, so basically I like them because I just do. Darren Shan has great potential and it continues to evolve through the horror/fantasy genre, but If you start with Darren Shan I recommend Cirque Du Freak, a 12 book series. Brad25891
Just out of curiosity, what is it about Darren Shan you enjoy so much? I just really don't get them. You've already got an answer but I'll give you my answer. I love the way he writes his books from a first person point of view. The story is solid throughout and the sub-stories such as Harkat's identity actually help progress the story along. I also found the plot twists were pretty awesome. I also like the fact that although the good guys and bad guys are defined from the characters point of view, main characters from both sides die. It isn't just the typical Good guys come and beat up the bad guys and save the world, etc. Demonata isn't too bad although I definately think that the cirque du freak series is ALOT better. In the demonata, the story seems to drag a bit more. The City, the "adults" series is amazing. I couldn't put either books down it was that hard. Definately a must buy for mystery/thriller fans I generally just think that Darren shan books are real page turners, every chapter end makes you want to read more and more. Currently reading - The dark tower series - Stephen King Just bought the gunslinger and the drawing of the three from reccomendations from friends. tripsis
His Dark Materials is my favourite series. I went through a really "dry" period earlier this year where I was struggling to find a good book/series to read. After a few not-so-good books, I stumbled across two series that I'm really enjoying: The Tapestry and The Companions Quartet. - 99 fletching | 99 thieving | 99 construction | 99 herblore | 99 smithing | 99 woodcutting - - 99 runecrafting - 99 prayer - 125 combat - 95 farming - - Blog - DeviantART - Book Reviews & Blog

mlskid
I have two of my favorite storylines ever, firstly the Inheritence trilogy, (now cycle... :( ) by Paolini. And then secondly the Seeker of truth series by Goodkind. I have read all of the inheritence books to date and can't wait for the conclusion! The Goodkind books are amazing and I have read all of them up to, Naked Empire, and so far, AMAZING. Oh btw, I started reading the Seeker series at Christmas, and I haven't read a single book for over a month and a half... still waiting to get the next set of books from the store, lol  Summoning help:[hide=Wio, lol][/hide]
