One word: Excellent. I wish we had more guides done like this by the "elite" players. I already knew most of this and am currently firemaking at varrock east bank and almost 97 fming. But I thoroughly enjoy reading a guide that someone has made that actually got a 99 in... let alone 200m xp. Happen to be making any more guides in the near future?

Thank you to both of you.

I am unsure of what guide I shall do next, possibilities were cooking and fletching but I am pretty sure most people have alot of knowledge about those.

Having said that, I'm currently unsure, but there will be more in the future.

So, what has changed since V.1 (version that got lost)?

There are currently no 'hide' Tags within the main hides in the current phpbb3 forum, so you'll have to Ctrl+F to find any specific material within the main sections.

I have re formatted the whole guide to make it easier to read.

Fixed a couple of spelling errors, (hopefully theres none now.)

I see a spelling error. :o

Under, "Training to 99":

Next, we figure out how many logs wee need, and divide by the amount of logs per hour.

The word "we", you spelt with two "e"'s.

Anyways, VERY well-written guide, and very informative.

9.5/10

ps- thanks for that formula. :)

Oh so this is your guide that my friend was telling me about :o

Your guide is like close to perfection except your missing some parts out that I have in my mind if I had made this guide.

*I won't tell you here :D

Anyways, excellent guide for Firemaking. Possibly the best explained guide so far I've read. Keep up the good work and make more guides

And use the firemaking siggeh! The one I have ::'

I'm not sure whether this is worth a mention in your fullscreen case study, but for accuracy, you can simply turn fullscreen on while leaving the resolution turned down to 800x600. You get larger squares, a larger inventory, and complete concentration :)

how about fullscreen stops you from distracting from other windows like tif/msn

Thanks :) , some body pointed it out to me in the official rs forums too, I guess i haven't here on tip it to update it yet (also working on my next guide).

Amazing. I remember seeing the guide, thought it was original one, but, looked at 2 pages of posts.

Your graphics for it, amazing. Shows a lot of effort.

The humor made me laugh a little bit.

10/10 for sure.

Thanks again 8-)

Thanks, I'll be sure to add that in. =O

very nice guide. One of the best I have seen. I nominate for AOW.

Thanks :P

As of now, this guide will not be updated anymore. (well, not P2P wise anyway.) I have decided to Quit, and I have decided to Retire from RuneScape.

However, I have decided to keep this guide up, so that people may continue to use this in the future.

Eucalyptus logs - These require 58 firemaking to burn, give 193.5 exp compared to 202.5 of yew, and require that you at least start As a First Resort...

These may actually turn out to be more efficient than yew at some Grand Exchange price updates, that is:

Price yew/Price eucalyptus > Experience yew/experience eucalyptus

Basically it comes down to how much money/hour you make.

Market price Yew - 410

Market price Eucalyptus - 347

410/347 = 1.816

202.5/193.5 = 1.046

1.816 > 1.046

So basically, for 202.5k firemaking experience, you'll need 1000 yew logs and 1050 (rounded from 1047) eucalyptus logs.

1000 yew logs - 410k

1050 eucalyptus logs - 364,350k

If you burn an average of 1200/hour, you spend 45,650 gp to save 2.5 minutes of time. That's a value of time of about 1100k an hour.

On the scale of getting 10m experience:

49,383 yew logs

51,680 eucalyptus logs

Difference = 2,297 logs = 115 minutes = about 2 hours (assuming 1200 logs/hour)

Price of yews = 20,247,030 gp

Price of eucalyptus = 17,932,960

Difference = 2,314,070

Therefore, by buying yews over eucalyptus logs you are spending over 2.3m to save less than 2 hours.

Just thought you'd like to know, I know you've quit RS but maybe write a little blurb saying to look for eucalyptus prices before you buy 50k yew logs.

Thank God you didn't take this guide down.

It would be a bad day for PMG forum for it to be gone...

Shame you quit, not too many good players like you.

Lets hope another brillant FM'er continues your work.
