Nadril Posted June 17, 2008 Share Posted June 17, 2008 This isn't directed at anyone in particular, but you'd have to have a really under-developed sense of humor/brain power to actually find most of /b/ posts funny. Maybe 1-2% of the posts/images are original or generate a good discussion with genuinely funny images, the rest are just exactly those 'lamer' posts like "LURK MOAR" or "EPIC FAIL", "TITSORGTFO". How anyone besides kids who just turned 12 would find them even remotely funny is beyond me. Memes and stupid stuff like that kill the site. That's not what it was originally meant for. But thanks to idiots, who couldn't understand sophisticated humor, it's already damaged beyond repair. Hint: Read Zonorhc's posts on tip.it. That's exactly the kind of dark humor 4chan and /b/ imageboards were all about. It's sad so many people could never comprehend it and turned that place into a cesspool of thousands of morons posting 'memes'. It's just the same as if you went to a baseball forum and started spamming about basketball. You're missing the point. Lamers already ruined the site. Agreed. I don't know what happened to bring all the idiots there, and it's not teenagers, it's a lot of 20-30 year olds posting on there. I avoid it like the plague; the amount of 13 year olds posting the same crap repeatedly makes me RAGE. From what I've seen, most of /b/ STAYS in /b/ and doesn't rear its ugly head on other boards. Keyword - "used" to be like that. The new users on that board have no idea about the kind of humor was really all about. The japanese original, 2chan, used to have similar entertaining dark humor and good pictures. 2chan used to be tightly moderated, now they've slipped up and allow pretty much any crap to be posted there, just like /b/. No, /b/ wasn't originally the junkyard of the internet where "you can post anything". The point was originality and real "random" humor/bizarre pictures and stories like Creepypasta.
