There is to much of what seems like wishful thinking in that setlist for it to be the real one. Besides, I doubt they would release it so early.

If it is the real one. . . Damn.

Supposedly it was leaked by a 4channer who also leaked out the Guitar Hero 3 set list,or so I've heard, but I wouldn't get my hopes up. If this is the real one though it's too good to for me to be passed up. It will be my first Guitar Hero game (haha I know) #-o .

The official conformation will be in a few days from what I've heard.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see. ::'

I'm going to allow for a suspension of disbelief for a moment and assume that is the real setlist.

Can you imagine how hard some of these songs will be to sing? Especially Heaven and Hell and any Muse song.

As well as this. . .

Giveitaway giveitaway giveitaway now!

Guitar Hero has always been about extremes in my opinion.

Compared to Rock Band...well, Rock Band has more well rounded songs.

If you look at Guitar Hero though there are songs as Jordan and Fire and Flames that are VERY difficult to play. You don't see any songs like that in Rock Band.

What I'm curious to see though is the 'extreme' songs for other instruments.

By the looks of the above setlist (If it is real or not) the extremes for guitar would be Fury of the Storm, Notingham Lace, etc.

As you mentioned above, it will be very difficult to sing those songs.

What will be the extremes for the drums? What about bass?

My only complaint about the setlist is Pull Me Under by Dream Theater. Sure, it's DT's only real hit, but the number of songs they skipped over? Metropolis Part 1 is one of the most complex songs DT has ever written, and if they wanted difficult solos, why not Fatal Tragedy or (more likely) Under a Glass Moon?

(Under a Glass Moon solo)

I would much rather see that than Pull Me Under.

If you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature.

trying to emulate Dio's voice = the TTFAF of singing career tbh.

True, there are way better DT songs out there that could have been chosen. (Remember also that this list is only Rumored and may only be partially right) I personally would have liked to see MetropolisPt1 or Erotomania(Even though it's an instrumental) or even The Dark Eternal Night =P~

But anyway it is a 'full band' game now it's not just all about the guitar anymore.

True those songs would be better but Pull me Under just seems like a more 'well rounded' song for the full band.

Although I do prefer Rock Band's choice of using Panic Attack as their DT song.

Something I'd like to see is an actual application of the whammy bar for playing notes, not just getting star power. No matter what though, I am only buying the game. No instruments, no nothing, just the game. I already have 3 guitars and a drum set, that is my limit (The only reason I even got the guitar for GH3 was because it was wireless, and my guitar for GH2 is a bit broken, but not enough for me to use my warranty [EB games rocks for it's $3 warranties]). No matter how cool they make any of the instruments, I will not buy them. The solo buttons on Rock Band are completely useless anyways. From what I've seen, I wouldn't have enough time to move my hand and get it in position before the solo without missing a note. Or I just need a little more practice with that.

There's no such thing as regret. A regret means you are unhappy with the person you are now,

and if you're unhappy with the person you are, you change yourself. That

regret will no longer be a regret, because it will help to form the new,

better you. So really, a regret isn't a regret.

It's experience.

Announced on IGN.com

August 7, 2008 - Ozzy Osbourne has sold over 100 million records, been the star of his own reality show and bit the head off of a live bat on stage. The rock icon who has just about done it all will add one more notch to his belt this fall when he makes his first videogame appearance in Activision's in Guitar Hero: World Tour. That is just the tip of the iceberg as the new info on Guitar Hero: World Tour came in a virtual flood today.

You can't have Ozzy Osbourne as a playable character without at least one of his songs being featured in the game. For Ozzy, Activision has nailed down two, "Crazy Train" and "Mr. Crowley," both originally released on his debut solo album Blizzard of Ozz. The love for Ozzy doesn't end there. OZZFest has been confirmed as an in-game venue, exclusive to World Tour.

Several other OZZFest bands will also be featured in World Tour. Ozzy Osbourne's lead guitarist and founder of Black Label Society, Zakk Wylde, will be a playable character in the game, bringing with him the song "Stillborn." In addition to delivering the upcoming album Death Magnetic as downloadable content in both Guitar Hero III and World Tour, Metallica will be featured on the disc with the track "Trapped Under Ice." Rounding out the OZZFest announcements is System of a Down, which will offer up "BYOB."

Though not featured as OZZFest bands, IGN has been told an additional seven tracks that will be included on the Guitar Hero: World Tour set list. Those are:

Airbourne "Too Much Too young"

At the Drive-in "One Armed Scissor"

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club "Weapon of Choice"

Bob Seger "Hollywood Nights"

Dinosaur Jr. "Feel the pain"

Silversun Pickups "Lazy Eye"

Survivor "Eye of the Tiger"

If you're keeping track, this brings the total number of confirmed songs to 23 to date. The previously announced songs are:

Billy Idol "Rebel Yell"

Blink 182 "Dammit"

Foo Fighters "Everlong"

Jimi Hendrix "Purple Haze Live"

Jimi Hendrix "Wind Cries Mary"

Linkin Park "What I've Done"

Paramore "Misery Business"

Sublime "Santeria"

The Doors "Love Me Two times"

The Eagles "Hotel California"

Van Halen "Hot for Teacher"

WHY do we have to suffer a Linkin Park song? WHY?!?!

And I HATE Eye of the Tiger as well, ever since we had to lip-sync it for eighth grade graduation. That was probably one of the worst experiences of my life lol.

The rest of that article, however, is indeed full of win.
