Help with s-video adapter(i think)

All right, so the thing is: I have a T.V. that i want to connect my wii to. The problem is it is kind of old (still great condition and looks halfway decent) and it doesnt have (i think this is what its called) an s-video plug in the back. Thoe yellow red and white plug ins. I know that if you plug the T.V into a VCR (via a cable wire) that has those plug ins you can run it from there.

So my question is: Is there some adapter that will allow me to get those s-video plug ins, or am i going to have to buy a whole new tv if i want to use it?

Look its rob!

I don't think it's S-video, I think the thing your referring to are A/V cables. Does your TV have a scart socket? If it does, you will able to buy a small socket with which the 3 pins plug into, then it goes into scart socket.

Sorry if this is not what your referring to, but it's the only thing I can think of

S-video is an obsolete connection now. Nothing really uses it. The wii should connect to your tv through the scart socket, which is the long rectangular black bit with a lot of holes in it. If your tv doesn't have that, but has the red, white and yellow sockets, you should be able to pick up cheap adaptor that lets you convert scart to the 3-plug av leads.

look_its_rob, could we have a photo of both your TV's plug ports and your Wii's plug ports? In all seriousness, it would really make this matter simple to solve. ::'
