Moonshadow
Wow sorry you're right I thought Runescape were programmed of runescript but runescape has nothing to do with jagex :-k What...? "runescript" 1. runescript is an IRC stats bot that is owned by spling and run by a few others, such as Micksam7 and Cruiser. It's main aim is to lookup highscores for people who play Runescape I am pretty sure runescript is also a form of scripting languages that Jagex uses. I remember reading they made their own scripting language inside of Java for better use of the game engine.

Julius47108
Well the same people will be making the game, just someone different doing the corporate stuff. I can picture what Runescape will be like with an Egoistic person. Banners of them everywhere, lol. http://www.erepublik.com/en/referrer/Julius+Rodvigo <-- Clicky! sohkmj1
Obviously jagex isn't going to choose an idiot, so dont worry. I don't know.... :l
doomy
Lets hope they don't screw everything up, but I do get the feeling its going to change a little. Even with a very expeienced person behind it (as obviously would be chosen). EDIT: Uh Andrew will still be the head of Jagex so it shouldn't be too bad. Doomy edit: I like sheep
Squire_Slayer
guys have u heard that jagex is making a new game and its suppose to be like the opposite of runescape? instead of a game on the theme of the past i think this one is on the future  this game is called mechscape and i found this on the jagex site which kinda proves that they are developing it We've known about it for quite awhile now. #-o

@Dan3HitU
Hope the new Head of Runescape will bring many new and cool features to RuneScape. It doesn't work like that no matter who the "head" is. Andrew still has the yes/no, all the Head does is make sure the content team and such are doing their job and he brainstorms new ideas. Basically there will be no difference in-game by who is Head of RS. There's been 4 (i think) already and nobody could tell the difference. Socrates
I hope it's an internal promotion; yet i doubt it will be. I can see it being quite good, but they're looking for a new head. I hope he wont be looking at just figures and money. It would be nice if he cared for gameplay too! Thanks to Jopie for this great signature.99 Slayer|Fishing|Summoning|Hitpoints|Attack|Strength|Defence|Fletching.Anyone at Manchester University PM me
ImpulsiveJet
I guess the head gonna have to see all the financial and the merchadize. Maybe gower had enough with both improving RuneScript and managing all that too. I wonder why he doesn't just let one of his brothers take his place tho. :-k Lol..... Runescript. Too bad jagex has nothing to do with that. Wow sorry you're right I thought Runescape were programmed of runescript but runescape has nothing to do with jagex :-k What did you just say? -.-

craven_range
Just so you guys know, Paul and Andrew have never actually been head of Runescape. It's not like They are going to move onto something else and leave runescape behind, so don't worry
me
Taken from Wikipedia's RuneScape article. Jagex developed an interpereted domain-specific scripting language called RuneScript which is used by RuneScape's server for event handling I wrote that. Quests are written in RuneScript, as are NPC and other interactions. Hence only the technologies (tools/engine) department need to be Java-savvy. tyluke
i wonder what happened to the previous person in charge he failed to please the players so they offered him to the gods; and ate him true story  only 2 skills below level 50 :)
Dragonater
I think that a new head wouldn't make a big difference. He's probably going to have power but not too much. I don't think he can go and do whatever he wants. In my opinion this new "head" is just an over looker who isn't allowed to make a decision like "Bring wildy back". I doubt he is going to be a player. I bet we'll barely see a change in the updates. :ugeek: My private chat is always on, feel free to give me a hyt^credits go to tanios for awesome sig
bobby1167
Or maybe this new head of Runescape isn't going to replace Gower, but instead run a new wing of Jagex, maybe a new um office like thing in America (Yea i dont care if they aren't allowed to do that or whatever, its just a possibility) All Quests completed99 Thieving achieved on January 10th, 200899 Defense achieved on August 3rd, 200885 Slayer achieved on July 31st, 20086 Dragon boot drops, 14 Whip drops
