Toy Horse Guy and Holiday Items

Do you know Toy Horse guy at Draynor Village who sale toy horses and spinning wheels?

I really think Jagex *SHOULD* add all party hats, halloweens, santa hats and other holiday items on Toy horse guy's sale. No I don't jealous because I don't have any holiday items but it's already ruining on Runescape money. For example, red partyhat was around 8 millions last Autumn 2004. Guess what? It's over 22 millions gp now. All three halloweens are over 1 million each now. Also santa hats are over 1 million. It's stupidest and I blame almost every merchant people for ruining this Runescape money.

If all holiday items on Toy Horse guy's sale and it would improve on Runescape money (of course there would always complain and never stop complain. It's just life). That's my dream and I really hope it would become true. Any thought?.

BTW! Please don't flaming on this topic. If you do flaming and you ruining this topic. Thank anyway.

Ah Diango..the times we've had. :D

Um..uh...anyway! It depends whether Jagex actually see the influxation as a problem worth trying to fix. Myself personally, I don't really care if rare prices are ludicrously high, when am I ever going to need one?

However, if rares were to be sold again, I can think of no better man than Diango! :P

They're right, alot of people would lose alot of money, not to mention many peoples goals of getting a rare item would be ruined. If anything i think they should make the toys rares. Instead of jagex telling us about the new toys and having them be permanant, they should secretly add toys, for maybe a couple, days or even a couple hours. In this way they could implement new rares

Lots of people already waste their money. Look at dragon armours, whips (it was over 20 millions gp before) and other items.

Duke_Freedom and I have been discussing this for weeks now-he's pro rare-merchanting and I'm anti, but it's been fun. Anyways, as far as implementing "new" rares, which is sort of a contradiction, that made me chuckle. JAGeX never wanted rares to end up like they are now, remember that. The only reason that they don't just get rid of them altogether is to not upset the merchants/owners of these items. Nevertheless, holiday drops were meant to be fun and have no effect on the RS "economy." You may notice that it's like that now. They got it right the second time :)

So you want them sold at Diango's? Sure, no problem with me! But I don't want one whether it costs 1 million gp or 1 gp :)

New rares isnt really a contradicion...sum dragon items could be considered rare, and sum are fiarly new. And jagex never wanted fun holiday drops to end up as rares, but they dont care about other stuff. I agree they got it right when they did bunny ears...but not the rubber chicken, cuz that was lame. Id rather have to hunt for them, not go to a fat bunny they told u the location of. The bunny ears were much more fun

i agrre with you, but to solve the mad angry people who own them, they should have mods go around and see the street price, and let the people trade them in to a store that only buys them. then once all of them are collected, like over a month, they could sell em for like 100gp ar diango's store

I like this idea, personally. Yeah, it'd make a lot of people angry, but so what? If they're stupid enough to pay such rediculously high prices for a worthless item, then that's their problem. I don't see real life businesses having any problems when they put some desirable item on sale. For example, a lot of people buy the latest fashion of shoe, say a Nike, at $80 a pair, then a few months later, Nike has a sale and that particular style now costs only $20. It sucks to be the ones who payed $80, but on the other hand, that's their problem, too.

As for the merchants, well, I've got no real love of them, anyway, so screw them too. Like I said in a different thread, if they can't adapt to new conditions, then that's their problem.

Dont get me wrong, but its you people, who can and should control the marcket. If you won't buy p-hats and masks prices will go down again.

As for myself, i dohave a blue mask and a santa, buy i got them a long time ago. I'm not a mechrater.

And i think its wrong to make these things common. Every one will were them, or maby they will just be forgotten, because they will be worth 100-300 gp at that shop. Buy when you see a player whith a rare item you sometimes thin -"One day I will have that or be like him". These things just make you play this game.

P.S - I whant to buy out every rare thing and alch it.

I remembered a noob that wanted to buy a chicken that I got the easter 2005, he gave me 1K cash, but I tried to tell him the chicken can't be traded. But it didn't work, he came himself into trouble by telling me he was gonna report to Jagex, so it ended that way I had to give him that free, he took it but he still said he hasn't got it yet. What a jerk.

the prices just give people goals to reach

No, the prices also make merchants rich. Personally, my goal is to acquire xp, not save up to buy an old item for looks or for further profit. That may be just my opinion, but I really don't see how it can be a "goal" to spend all one's gp on a non-stat improving rare.

That's been my argument everytime this issue comes up. It's one thing to collect useless things like art in real life because...um...well, it makes more sense, but it's pointless in a game since it doesn't give you any advantage in playing the game.

What jagex should do is announce to the public that in like 1 week or 1 month (or watever time) all holiday drops will become untradable. That will give people a chance to buy what they want and then no1 will ever waste money on these worthless items again. But, if som1 brought it into the wild, and they died with it, and lost it, the other player would get a rare. That would also give new players a chance to get them if they trained enuf. Also, this would make player train skills to earn cash so the RS economy wouldn't be lazy.

Diango of Draynor Village would be just the man for the job! I do agree with you, it'd be very nice if all rares were sold at Diango but then we'd have a problem. Rares just wouldn't be rare anymore. :?

Of all the ideas of fixing the rare issue, I think this is the one that would upset merchants the least. I could really see JAGeX implementing it someday. Notice that they (JAGeX) never tinker with the player economy, i.e. not allowing any item to be sold above or below a certain price, which is commendable. They do, however, decide that certain items are untradeable. So, watch out, merchants :)

I would like nothing more than to see all the rares being sold for 1gp. That would stop the elitism associated with things like p-hats, and would give the average player the chance to buy an item that looks cool but adds no real stat bonuses. But maybe to stop all the people whining about losing money, they could give the rares at Diango a suffix, so that they are not completely the same. They should still look the same though.
