i see more people using veracs now anyway. not guthans. very few people use guthans on slayer anymore, because of healing familiars. the hefty price is back from before summoning when people needed it for slayer

I'm gonna be walking down an alley in varrock, and walka is going to walk up to me in a trench coat and say "psst.. hey man, wanna buy some sara brew"

walka92- retired with 99 in attack, strength, defence, health, magic, ranged, prayer and herblore and 137 combat. some day i may return to claim 138 combat, but alas, that time has not yet come

I take a mixture of guthans (full) and torag (legs) on slayer tasks.

But you don't see so many guthans any more at high slayer lvl monsters such as the abyssal demons. They are all in 3rd age armour or dragon, or mix of those with a godsword. And dragging along a bunyip.

Pretty simple for me; for PVP, full veracs, for slaying veracs skirt and proslyte plate (prayer bonus for piety\+15% strength), guthans for tanking bandos, karils for castle wars\any type of ranging, torag's plate veracs skirt veracs helm for defence bonus, ahrims every time I'm maging. I find that my Verac set gets the most use by far; guthans is obsolete thanks to my unicorn except for unique situations. Very rarely I use torag's helm when I don't want to risk a 2m Veracs helm and don't need the prayer bonus. I guess I use all of them except for a few parts of karil and torag, but Verac is the one I reach for in almost every situation.

I like and use verac the most. Dont need guthan for healing. Verac skirt is best leg armour in game IMO (best? def bonus and good prayer bonus). Top is good for doing somethign "hybrid" (negative mage bonus is very small).

Helm is pretty much best def helm in game + pray bonus (like skirt). Just the flail is useless (I dont use the set effect).

Karils and Ahrims can be usefull from time to time too. Others are pretty useless now IMO. You just need to pick out a platebody of one of them for best def. (I slay in verac skirt and guthan platebody mostly).

And comp, why would you wear ahrims when ranging? Your safespotting then, so you can as well use black dhide. Personally, I use full void. If you meant monster hunting ranging, okay, my bad.

I use Torags plate and legs, becasue its great def for a decent price. I have never personally used a Barrows set, but whenever I am in Ape Atoll, I sa eight people wearing full Dhoroks. So, imo ut would either be Veraks or Dhrorok.

As a whole set, verac. Guthan is too expensive to be the most popular, not everyone can afford it. And dharoks is not used much except in specific situations.

For good and cheap barrows armor, i use torag. But most popular would have to be guthan.

In PvP I do a lot of gear swapping between Veracs and Ahrims. When hybriding, I like to use Verac top and Ahrim bottom. It gives me just enough mele def to go toe to toe but still be able to barrage around my foe's protect from mele spells.
