A girl told me she loves me. Today.

And she is not my girlfriend.

And if you guys remember October/early November, she is the crazy one.

And my girlfriend is the shy one.

Noone has ever told me she loves me before.

People don't say that easily say they love each other here.

So I've noticed this thread's regulars all follow similar trends.

RPG is constantly dealing with psycho exes.

Muggi reminds us of the joys of polygamy.

Saq is totally oblivious to how much chicks dig him.

I strike out every other week.

Kalphite wages a war against the friend zone.

Randox pretty much stays rational.

Etc, etc

Well I mean, that's kinda naive

Aren't we all fools eventually ;)?

Before you chastise me further for my apparent naivety/pessimism, please note that I intended to say the former in a jocular tone.

.

Such a poignant argument, it impresses me that so much can be said with so little.
If you didn't see the unedited it was something about how she used to say she loved her boyfriend, at least prior to the cheating. Something in their about being older or experienced and doing it anyway I do believe.

So I heard that because women are almost trained to hate the smell of Axe body spray, and because very few (if any) actually buy women's Axe body spray, that men should begin wearing women's Axe because they don't know what it smells like, so it smells good to them. It's most likely a trick to get dudes to smell girly but what are your thoughts?

Also, what do you guys think about cologne and body sprays in general? Should it be an every day thing? Only for special occasions? Do you think using it makes you more attractive to women or at least makes you more enjoyable to be around?

I only use the British equivalent of Axe body-spray for day-to-day usage when I'd prefer not to smell for a proportion of the day. That being said - as long as you aren't drenched in it no one will complain that you are wearing too much to begin with. I personally see body-sprays as a cheap method to not smell like sweat - because sweat is obviously the worse of the two smells.

I personally use cheap body-sprays everyday, after a shower, only where I sweat lots (under the armpit). If I am going out to impress I will use a bit of cologne. Literally one spritz for the wrist and a dab behind each ear (you don't need to bathe in it).

In all honesty, how a woman perceives a fragrance is completely down to their anatomy, I've known women that like the smell of Axe-type bodysprays so much so they prefer it over female body-sprays so I think what you have heard about women disliking Axe is bull, if they dislike the smell of Axe ask them if they prefer the smell of sweat. I wouldn't worry about what you use in the end.

If you are struggling to buy a fragrance that you want to impress people with buy what you like the smell of, you are the one that will have to smell it the most.

I don't even mind the smell of sweat that much as I mind some overspritzed Old Spice or Axe. That thing is just terrible.

I only use cologne when I go out or sth and I don't use deodorant at all.

I use cologne every day. I don't think i own body-spray/deodorant anymore. Most of it burns my skin, so i stopped using it when i could afford using cologne on a daily basis instead. I also find that it sticks to your skin a lot longer than body-sprays, so like when you're naked you'll still smell good for a few hours if you catch my drift.

I think smelling great helps a lot with seeming more attractive. It's something that plays on one of your major senses and helps establish a good first impression.

I fully believe smell plays a big role in attraction, and after playing with Axe in high school and Old Spice in college, it seemed every girl had their own preference to different colognes which then gave me the impression that you are just as likely to hurt your "game" as you are to help it by smelling like a product. If you wear the same Cologne as a girls dad - there can be some strange wire crossings that you probably wouldn't want. So now I just shower and I'm good. I am my own smell, and I think it works just fine.

I also like the own personal smell theory, or as my mum said, nothing smells as good as cleanliness.

I haven't gotten any bad comments about sweat or anything, but I have been complimented on my cologne.

My daily routine is that I use a cheap generic deodorant, usually called something like "fresh" or some similar bullshit.  Not overpowering, kind of like a soap meets dryer sheets scent.  Then a tiny dab of cologne on the inside of both wrists and both sides of the neck (basically right above the collar bones or right under the level of your collar).  I have a couple different ones, my two main ones are called Stetson and Aspen.  I like Aspen better personally but I've been wearing the other regularly for a few years.  I've got a couple other scents, only one of note is called Preferred Stock, which I just think is hilarious.  Also all super cheap.

My basic opinion is that smelling ice is always a good thing.  If you just finished working out or doing manual labor, there's nothing wrong with smelling like sweat.  But take a shower after you're done and put on a little bit of smelly shit.

My rule for scents is that no one should be able to smell you from further away than the distance you have a personal conversation at. If you enter a room and everyone in there can smell your cologne, you used too much.
