These are merely illustration pictures/screenshots. This suggestion should and will apply for "Night" in Runescape+ also dark places and caves in Runescape :mrgreen: I like Firemaking so i am gonna try my best to show you that this suggestion is good, and if i have falses in my suggestion i will try to work on it for the better. ;) Before you read on: this is a small Firemaking addition that is very nice :) Also it does not involve lots updates. I hope this is highly supported :roll: It's not the best suggestion, but it's something that makes the game better or at least that's how i see it. =P~ The use of light sources is to light up dark places and caves. But also my reason for making this suggestion is that in Future that "Night" will come to Runescape, and then i hope that light sources will be used by players to light up their path. Candle Candle Lantern Oil Lamp Oil Lantern Bullseye Lantern Sapphire Lantern Emerald Lantern My suggestion is that these light sources should be used for what they are made for. [/b] :lol: Example: Instead of the cave that requires a light source being shown, the light source should instead light up a decent area of the cave for the player as he moves. Runescape now uses real-time shadows and lighting, but lighting is all static simply with changing brightness. Candles, portals, your fire example, etc. It looks pretty, but none of it moves. I don't think they can do moving lights at the moment. Forgetting the above, what happens when a stack of 5 or 6 people stand around each other, or on the same square, with their lights? At different altitudes does the engine have to work out there 6 spheres connect and outline the light for each? As to night, when does it occur? Does runescape have a standard 24 hour cycle? If so, who's timezone gets to be based on it? What if all the americans don't want to play at night because europe is in daylight, what if the aussies don't want to play at dawn and dusk.. Night/Day only works when it's either individual or your player base is from one country. Support 1 million % They should make runescape even better. 1.5 ghz procces and a 256 mb graphics card not 64 mb... and 512 mb ram they could upgrade it easy... every PC should have 512 mb ram or more now! if you buy one you have 2 gig ram standard you have 512 mb graphics card standard and around 1.5 ghz proccessor if people dont have that, just buy a new PC!
