NOTE: All of this suggestion is purely my own making. If any part of it is "copied" from another game, know that it is not intentional. Pictures also have currently not been developed. Any maps I will try to illustrate as best I can. They will come, however.

Deep under Port Phasmatys, there lies an ancient city recently unearthed. The inhabitants are the old War Tribe-The EctoVoids. They come from a dimension unlike ours. Above all else, they prize honor in combat. They've opened their grand arena, and brought forth their greatest fighters, to test the strength of the mortals of RuneScape.

REQUIREMENTS:

50 Prayer

Ghosts Ahoy completed.

[hide=Getting There]From the EctoPool (the basement of the Ectofungus Building) lies the EctoShip, the warship of the EctoVoids. Traveling not only through space, but through dimensions. Pay the fee of 20 EctoTokens and board. You will be taken to a network of tunnels (not unlike Barrows) with various skeletons, ghosts, and other undead. Like in Barrows, reach the center, and climb down the ladder. You will be in EctoTown.[/hide]

[hide=EctoTown]The city of the EctoVoids spans an area no greater than our Grand Exchange. But there is much to do. Right west of the ladder is an armory, and a weapontry shop to the east. North of the armory is the Pub. This Pub is unique, and will be explained later in the REWARDS section. For now, know that there are various Black Market Dealers in the Pub, as well as a Banker. You may not use them until you unlock them, however. North of the weapontry shop is a Portal Chamber. It has 3 portals, to the Rune Essence Mine, Myatt Manor, and to the Zamorak Mage of the Wilderness. North of the Portal Chamber lies the EctoVoid Barracks. Here lies an altar, a sawmill, and a Summoning Obelisk. At the very north of town lies the vast EctoVoid Arena. In the center of town lies another EctoPool. You may get buckets of Ectoplasm from this EctoPool, as well a fill your Ectophial here, giving you teleports to EctoTown.

Right infront of the Arena is a Mysterious Figure. This will be explained later.[/hide]

[hide=The EctoVoid Arena]In this vast arena, you will fight both EctoVoid Tribes and other Players. There are 4 modes of play:

1: Challenge

Challenge another player to a fun match with no rewards, or challenge a random player to a rated match with rewards. You may also select team battles for both.

2: Survival

Fight off wave after wave of EctoVoid fighters in an attempt to survive, with rewards.

3: Battle

Choose a boss you have defeated from the Survival Mode and face him or her. You may select more than 1 boss. This mode gives rewards.

Endless Survival

Not only will you have to defeat the first 50 waves of the normal Survival Mode, but the EctoVoids will just keep coming. Hold them off for as long as you can before you go down.

Now you may be wondering what those "Rewards" are. Well here's how it goes with the EctoVoids. During battle, if you get certain achievements, your points for that battle will increase. At the end of the fight, the player with the most points wins. Both players, even the loser, will be rewarded "Glory Shards" proportional to their Point total. However, the Survival, Battle, and Endless Survival modes give more shards when you defeat the harder opponents. You use these Shards to buy rewards from Maloch, by the entrance to the arena.

NOTE: This is a dangerous minigame. However, if your point count at the end of the match is zero or higher, the EctoVoids will return all your items to you when you die. If it is negative, however, you will lose any items you have not kept and will be given no gravestone. You point count IS displayed during the match. However you MAY NOT teleport out.

NOTE: There IS a forfeit option. It's be placed in the logout screen. If your score is negative, it'll stay negative and the above will apply. If it is positive, it will be turned to 0 and you will not receive tokens. Any Achievements you accomplished will be negated (Ex. Achievement Rewards) and you will count as having lost that match, if it was rated.[/hide]

[hide=COMBOS]COMBOs are attacks unique to your particular weapon. (Weapon types that are the same, yet different metals are grouped together (D mace and Addy mace, for example).) To activate a combo move, click the Skills Menu Tab (it will not show the Skill Menu option. In this minigame is has been replaced with the combo interface). You will be given a choice of 4 moves. There will also be a combo bar, which must be full to activate combo moves. It recharges over time.

Choosing one of the 4 moves counts as a regular hit, with an enhanced animation. You will not recieve ANY bonuses for using one of these moves. Using one only starts your combonation. After you use these moves in a certain order, the combo bar with be lit aflame. YOU MUST CLICK THE BAR DURING YOUR NEXT COMBAT ROUND IN ORDER TO ACTIVATE THE COMBO FINISH. If you do not, you pass the opportunity. Depending on the combo moves you used, and in what order, the finish will be with a pathetic boost, or amazingly strong.

Combos can only be up to 6 moves long, after which time the combo bar runs out of power and you automatically fail the combo.

You will not be told combos. They will not be listed on the knowledge base. You must discover them yourself, be told by someone, or read them from the Book of War or Book of Destruction (explained later). However, on your first visit during the tutorial, you will be told ONE combo. That will be the only freebe you will get.

After you perform the combo finish, you will be stunned for 4 seconds and your opponent for 2 seconds. If you fail a combo, you will be stunned for 6 seconds.

Stronger, more complex combos will earn more points in the "DANCING FIGHTER" achievement.

EXAMPLE: (ASSUMING WEAPON IS THE ABYSSAL WHIP)

Move1: Whip wraps around neck

Move2: Choke opponent

Move4: Slash across neck

Move1: Wraps around neck

MOVE5: SHARP UPWARD PULL ON WHIP[/hide]

[hide=Deeper Explaination]First off, the FRIENDLY mode is exactly the same as the DUEL ARENA (without staking and choosing the rules). You may also choose teams.

The MATCH option is different. When you select this option, you are paired with a random opponent. The game will be rated, just like a Fist of Guthix. If you choose the team option, you will be paired with a random partner also. Same with your opponent. There must be at least 30 people choosing this mode in order for matches to begin.

In both modes a random player will also choose the stage.[/hide]

[hide=Deeper Explaination]In these two modes you will fight off wave after wave of attacking EctoVoids. They will use all combat styles. Each combat style's fighter has 4 Forms of different levels, a Leader, and 3 different Bosses. Their combat levels follow:

Type:Form1:Form2:Form3:Form4:Leader:Boss

WARRIORS (Kakira Tribe):85:97:105:115:120:150

MAGERS (Fyirwyn Tribe):70:82:96:103:110:130

Note that every 10 waves the stage changes, but the final wave is always one the stage, RAGNAROK.

You may have noticed that there are 3 distinct tribes which represent the 3 combat groups. They are all unique, and have special abilities.

The Kakira Clan

These fierce warriors are said to descend from Zamorak himself. They possess the ferociousness and power that suit that God of Evil perfectly. Through their years of fighting, they have learned how you emit a terrifing screech. A cry loud enough to stun all in it's path while the Kakira tears through them using their increase attack and strength. However, only the three bosses are able to do this strongly. The others can only perform this attack in a weak manner, with the stun often not lasting long enough to prevent the victim from attacking,

The grand champion of the clan, Zamiruk, possesses the Dark Blade. At random times, the Dark Blade will unleash it's power, giving Zamiruk an increase of 20% strength and attack for that particular hit. Watch out for this blade, dark as the night and red as blood.

Hidden Tribe of the Emos Forest

The Emos take thier name from Guthix's sacred forest in the EctoVoid homeland. Guthix himself blessed the Emos people with remarkable marksman abilities. But it is not their blessing that makes them worthy opponents. Through their centuries are hunting and hidding in the Emos Forest, the Tribe's people have learned to turn themselves invisible. Leaving only a faint outline of their bodies.

The champion, Guhthicks, wields the Master Bow. It gives increased power to her arrows and will occasionally fire two arrows at once, similar to the Dark Bow, but the Master Bow is faster.

The Protectors of Life-The Fyirwyn Guard

Saradomin's elite guard, protect all life in the EctoVoid homeland. They are skilled mages, as well as summoners. They can summon familiars up to leve 75. Their powers also give their summons increased power and defence abilities.

The champion of the Fyirwyn is Ceruhdohmin, whose Staff of Life is very powerful. At random times, it will reduce one of its target's combat stats by 20%, as well as either freeze, poison, disease, or drain prayer from the target.

In ENDLESS SURVIVAL, the game continues after you defeat the 50th wave. You simply repeat all 50 waves over again, except during each wave an additional boss will spawn adding to the fun.[/hide]

[hide=Deeper Explaination]In this mode, you simply choose one of more of the bosses from Survival and Endless survival and face them in a stage you choose. It is good practice for your next attempt at Survival mode, as well as a good way to earn Shards.[/hide]

[hide=STAGES]In Challenge Mode, a randomly selected player may choose one of the below. In Survival the stage is random and changes every 10 waves, with the 50th wave always being RAGNAROK. In Battle you choose the stage indifnitely.

ECTOPOOL: Fight in a pool of Ectoplasm which restricts your ability to run.

PoH: Fighting in a PoH themed arena complete with all different types of rooms and a dungeon.

VOLCANO: Random balls of lava way attack you, as well as random Fight Cave monsters up to the Tok-Xil (level 90s)

FISHING TRAWLER: The match will end in a draw if the Trawler sinks.

UNDERGROUND PASS: In the giant maze. Complete with all the obstacles and Zamorak Monks. If you fail and obstacle you will reappear where you just were, and take up to 20 damage.

FAIRY RINGS: The stage will shift at random times to a different Fairy Ring location. If you appear in Zanaris, the first player to reach the ring decides the next destination.

RAGNAROK: A flat plain in the center of existance. Bolts of magic fall from the heavens, dealing minor damage.

SKULL: A flat platform with no suprises. A simple fight to the death.[/hide]

REWARDS

NOTE: NONE of these rewards are tradeable.

Rewards from this minigame are grouped into 7 catagories.

[hide=1]When you achieve certain Achievements in a challenge match, or a wave past 20, you will be rewarded a free piece of armor or weapon.

IMMORTAL'S RING: Immortals

This ring acts as a ring of life that NEVER breaks from use. It will also heal you if you fall below 20% hp, but only slightly (only up to 4hp). Operating it will drain 3 prayer points and heals poison and disease.

IMPERVIOUS SHIELD: Impervious

Stab+50\Slash+55\Crush+40\Range +50\Magic+35

This shield also degrades (like the crystal shield, but not like barrows armor). You can repair it at an armor stand, or anyone who repairs barrows armor, for a fee of 100k (assuming 1 smithing at the armor stand)

MASTER BLADE: Combat Master

Acts as a Dragon Longsword, Rune Throwing Knife, and the Ancient Staff, giving the cumulative bonuses (although slightly lower) of the three weapons. (If you use it as a throwing knife, it will return to you without the accumulator's assistance, but will occasionally drop. Using the accumulator elimates this.) No special attack.

GLOVES ON PUNISHMENT: Punisher

Attack and Defence bonuses are the same

Stab+5\Slash+6\Crush+5\Range+5\Magic+3\Strength+10\Prayer+1

Combines the Penance Hat and Neitiznot Helm. After achieving God, you will have it upgraded, giving an extra +5 to all defence and +2 to Strength and Prayer. However, you must already possess both the Penance Hat and Neitiznot Helm, and the crown will reduce your defence by 5% while worn.[/hide]

For example, if you are not being hit much, the armor will reduce its own defence bonuses to add to its attack bonuses. RING OF ECTOVOIDS: 3000 shards

Allows you to perform combos instead of special attacks outside of the EctoVoid Arena. There are some restrictions to this. The special attack bar is replaced by the combo bar, and will recharge in 5 minutes, like special attack.

Special Attack: Arrow Storm, Full Drain

Shoots a storm of up to 6 arrows seperate with reduced power.

Thank you for reading my item. It know it is quite a weight of words, but after reading through all of that (or at least some of it) I'd really appreciate it if you posted your thoughts. I will not get mad if you think my idea is stupid and hate it with all your heart, as long as you tell me why. However much time you spent reading this, I've spend more working on it. So please post. I will post this on RSOF after I improve this idea a bit more, which is why I need your help.

[hide=Future Update]]I've actually developed this idea for the entire EctoVoid Arena idea. However, I decided to go with the Arena. But I kept thinking about this one, and I've decided to work it in.

If you talk to the Mysterious Figure outside the Arena, he will tell you that there is an ancient evil corrupting the spirits of the EctoVoids. He suspects the evil King, Krardatta has awoken again. He directs you to Lord Myatt, who guards the door to the Temple of the EctoVoids, where Krardatta is kept. He will not permit you access. However, the duplicate of the key is buyable from the EctoVoid arena for 5000 shards. Buy the key, then attempt to open the door. Lord Myatt will come in and attack you (level 190), halfway through the battle, Lady Myatt will also come in and attack (level 170). Defeat them both and enter the Temple.

You will then journey through the Temple, solving puzzles and passing traps. Along the way you will come across the old EctoTown, and learn the history of the EctoVoids, and a strange god that they all worship.

The Temple is a vast dungeon, with more than 15 levels to beat. This is a lot of work, so this will be something I will add in the future. However I will list a few of the rewards now:

-20000 Slayer Exp

-50000 Defence Exp

-Access to Old EctoTown

-Access to new Twin Boss Monsters, Terror Beast and Soul Eater. Some of their drops include a whole array for rune and dragon items, as well as a few unique drops of their own:

-------EctoVoid Hilt, which you can attach to the Godsword Blade.

-------Metal Leech, which can give arrows, staves, and swords the power of Guthans, for a limited amount of charges.

-------Fusion Ring, which can combine 2 of the other enchanted rings into one.

I've decided to post some basic information about the bosses, Terror Beast and Soul Eater.

They reside near the end of the Temple of EctoVoids. They are located in their respective "lairs" on opposite ends of a room. They are enclosed, so both will not attack you at once directly.

The follow is the same for both.

Combat: 310

HP: 230

Poisonous? Yes

Poisonable? No

Agressive

TERRORBEAST:

SHADOW SHROUD: A black mist decends upon all in the room. Poisons. MAGIC, Max: 25

RAIN OF TERROR: Black arrows fall from the sky and hit all in the room. RANGED, Max: 30

SHIFTING SAND: Teleports everyone to Soul Eater's Lair. Stuns. MAGIC, Max: 20

SOULEATER:

A few notes:

-The summons are teleported along with any players when either boss uses Shifting Sand.

-The summons will do no damage if you Pray against Summoning.

-Soul Eater can also heal its summons

-Soul Eater must be killed AFTER Terror Beast, or else it will simply keep using Shifting Sand.

-Soul Eater can cast Heal even when it is not being attacked

-Shifting Sand will not do damage, but WILL still teleport you if you pray against Magic.

DROPS:

100%: Ashes (Soul Eater), Bones (Terror Beast)

Armor/Weapons: Rune 2h, Rune Scimitar, Rune Longsword, Rune Battleaxe, Rune Platelegs, Rune platebody, Rune Kiteshield, Rune Full Helm, Dragon Med Helm, Dragon Chainbody, Dragon 2h, Dragon Shield Left Half, Black Dragonhide Armor, Red Dragonhide Armor, Blue Mystic Armor, Magic Shortbow, all Battlestaves

Misc.: Yew Logs (100), Magic Logs (50), uncut gems, half key.

TOP DROPS:

ECTOVOID HILT: More info later. Can create the EctoVoid Godsword. (Note that it will not function like the other 4 godswords, and the reason to why there is a godsword will be made clear during the miniquest.) Tradeable, but not when attached to the Blade. You cannot attach it to the blade if you have not killed Krardatta, the final boss in the Temple.

Special Attack: Ectoplasm Strike. A bolt of ectoplasm leeches out at your opponent and binds him/her/it. Until the slime wears off, each hit you land on your opponent will drain a random combat stat in addition to the normal damage.

NOTE: Removed. The Godsword and the Hilts should be GWD drops ONLY, as I've decided. Plus if a hilt was dropped outside of GWD, well, that wouldn't exactly be a good thing for GWD would it? I'm keeping this here just in case any readers would like to know what the idea was. Instead of a Godsword, TerrorBeast and SoulEater will drop the Terror Blade/Soul's Bane. These are two unique weapons that are comparable to dragon weapontry, with unique specials.

Terror Blade (Longsword): 50% A very strong slash at the opponent which drains offensive stats and freezes.

Soul's Bane (Mace): 25% A helm splitted blow on your opponent which will also sap your opponents defense, prayer, summoning, and hitpoints.

METAL LEECH: Drops up to 15 of these at a time. It is an 100% drop, but the average drop is set to around 3. These function as a bar, smithable at level 90 smithing. You can pound them into arrowheads which are equal to rune. Or, the more logical thing to do, is to weaken them in a furnace, then use them on a pestle and mortar to create Leech Powder (1:1 ratio, stacks). You can add the Powder to any bow, staff, or weapon. (Doing so makes it untradeable.) That weapon then gains an amount of charges equal to the powder rubbed on it. The weapon will gain the power of Guthans, healing on every hit, but uses 1 charge each hit, even if you hit a 0. The bonuses of the weapon are also HALVED. The leech is only tradeable as the Metal Leech, not after it is weakened, ground, or pounded.

FUSION RING: This ring can be blessed to hold the power of 2 other enchanted rings. There are set combinations, however:

1: Ring of Recoil (unlimited) and Ring of Wealth

2: Ring of Forging and Ring of Dueling

3: Ring of Life and Ring of Recoil (unlimited)

4: Ring of Slaying and Ring of Wealth

5: Ring of Life and Ring of Wealth

For the rings that can run out of charges (Foring, Dueling, Life, Slaying) you must use the normal ring on the Fusion Ring when it runs out of charges. Otherwise, it will only serve the function of the other ring (except Slaying, which will still function as a Slayer Gem). The Fusion Ring is only tradeable when it is NOT blessed.

Rikat in Old EctoTown will bless and unbless rings. Rings come in their uncharged forms.[/hide]

[hide=Future Update]This idea took well over 40 pages in the notebook I used to plan out this update, with the above minigame numbering only 17. That should give you an idea of how vast this dungeon will be. If need be, I'll update this into my third post for more room and organizing.

The first part of this dungeon involves locating Old EctoTown. There is, however a Mysterious Figure there to guide you, vaguely. He speaks of the evil deeds that condemned the EctoVoids to the Temple. He says Krardatta, the King of the EctoVoids is planning to break free of the Temple's sacred bounds and wreak havoc on RuneScape, very well leading to another God Wars. However, when you reach Old EctoTown, you learn from a citizen, Rikat, that this is not the case. The EctoVoids decended upon RuneScape with peaceful intentions. However, they were attacked in the midst of the confusion during the God Wars, the era in which they came. Their mysterious god, Keron, gathered the armies of the EctoVoids and appointed this Krardatta as general. There are 12 EctoVoid tribes. 3 of them are the blessed god tribes, the Kakira, Emos, and Fyirwyn. In the end, they helped the gods restore order by defeating Keron, and were rewarded by being allowed to stay outside the Temple. They also were in charge of keeping Krardatta bound inside the Temple.

However, EctoVoid legends and lore speak of a 13th tribe. The Shadow Clan. Supposedly, this Shadow Clan was the tribe to invoke EctoVoid participation in the war. Krardatta is one of this clan. He tells you that surface people such as that Mysterious Figure are after the EctoVoids, for revenge for "their" actions. Rikat is convinced the Shadow Clan resides much deeper in the Temple, fully guarded by holy powers.

After delving deeper into the Temple, you discover a room of the 3 god tribes. The first to the Kakira, the second Emos, the third Fyirwyn. In each of these resides Zamorak's Pet, Guthix's Servant, and Saradomin's Guardian. They protect the power needed to descend deeper into the Temple. Defeat each and you will have access to the Dark Caverns below the Temple.

You will come to the town of Renegadia, where you will meet Rikat again. He is, however, dressed in dark robes and wearing a strange helmet. He tells you the Shadow Clan hate light, and if you are seen with your lantern lit will be attacked. The helmet grants you powers of a Shadow Clan member-the ability to see in dark. He gives you one.

He tells you what he has learned. Keron is not just the god of the EctoVoids, he is the God of Shadow. He came to RuneScape hoping to take advantage of the confusion so he could conquer it. He was, however, defeated and sealed into a dungeon somewhere in RuneScape. However, he feeds Krardatta power, so you must now defeat Krardatta. You will get into the Palace of Shadow, pass through it, and face off with Krardatta. AFter you kill him, you will place six of the SPHERE OF POWER you collected throughout the Temple and destroy Krardatta once and for all.

Thanks for supports.

Very complete, very good items but some are overpowered but other than that.

I SUPPORT

I also dont like the hilt idea but the others are good.

Please tell which ones. I've tried to balance out the items as best I could.

As for the hilt, I intended for it to "make sense" during the story line.

No one posts? You either love it too much for words or hate it so much that words are worth it?

Ok. I'll tone down those rewards a tad.

My reasoning was that most of them would be very difficult to achieve, and therefore the time it takes to get it would balance the defence. But if that is not the case, then they will have to be lowered.

EDIT: Stats of some items lowered, other's effects have been clarified. Tell me what you guys think now.

Wow, this is one of the most well thought out ideas I've seen here in a long time. Great job. Although, I'm a little negative on the godsword idea, but I guess I'll have to wait and see why once I do the minigame...

I support this. Hell, even if they don't implement anything like this, it was still fun to read.

Thanks for the supports.

I've removed the Godsword. I've thought it over, and decided the Godsword should be a GWD drop ONLY. Here's how the story from the Temple goes:

The EctoVoid's god, Keron, came to RuneScape during the God Wars. Immedately attacked upon arrival, the EctoVoids entered the God Wars. The fighters of Keron reached everywhere in the world before they were finally stopped.

Instead, Terror Beast and Soul Eater now drop their own unique weapons, the Terror Blade and Soul's Bane. I've updated this in their drops section.

I've also changed to Temple's layout. Before I planned it to be a multi-level tower. However, I'm making it more like a conventional dungeon. With multiple rooms per level with 4-5 floors. It's difficult has not changed, however.

FULL SUPPORT. I <3 it. So many new stuffs <3. make easier ways to get points though, or else honest fighters who fight regularly may not get up to 5 points and when they lose, they lose the points they had and all their items

Well i'd imagine you'd bank the glory shards. But I suppose we could make them points you could never lose like in PC.

It should be easy enough to get 5 points. Fighting to the death is 3 points in itself. Although perhaps there should be no penalty for losing. I'll change that.
