RpgGamer
No no, they've all been students. All of which I've encountered in our growing sexology department (which was my original idea for a major, but I settled with psychology). My college offers quite a few classes on sexual behavior, childhood sexuality theory, queer theory, and possibly more coming. Might be enough to make a grad student out of me yet. Vezon Dash
I'm still working on my homework, and I'm so tired that I had to look up a beta- decay to make sure I was doing the problem right. This is rather pathetic seeing as I am for all practical purposes a nuclear engineering student. =/
Serpent Eye
Got my federal/state returns today (or rather, I just noticed that I got them. IRS didn't email me to notify me they were deposited into my account >.>) Paid off my credit card IN ONE FULL SWOOP and am soooo happy to be done with that.
Riku3220
My school was having a magic show/casino night event. My roommate and I went and say they were giving out a 32" TV as a prize and we decided to pool our winnings together to try to win it. Unfortunately at the last hand he went all in and lost so only my earnings went towards the TV. Of course, it was the most popular items and we lost it even though I got a metric crapton of tickets. Other than losing the TV the night was great. The magician was hilarious and confused everybody with his mind games. I also "won" $66,000 in a game of Let It Ride which was the high point of the night.

Distracted
Today I'll be packing my bags, finishing some work for school and then, at midnight, the trip to the Gambia starts. By tomorrow evening I'll be complaining about the heat, trying to get settled into a crappy room and mostly enjoying the scenery and the people around me. Kaida23
Today my ex-brother-in-law and his wife had their third child. It's the first girl (both he and I had two boys already) so everyone's pretty happy about it. Don't you just love getting a nice big tax refund every year? It's like getting to hit the reset button on all your bills. You know what I'd love more? Not having to pay the refunded amount to begin with and not falling behind on bills to need a reset.Yeah, that would definitely be better. But it seems unlikely that Quebec is going to redo their tax laws, and even less unlikely that the Canadian government is going to lower our taxes in general so I guess I'm stuck. It's like getting to hit the reset button on all your bills. In the year's past it's been great because I just splurged and bought anything I wanted (new computer, Xbox 360, HD TV, etc.) but this year I was actually really excited to do something useful and meaningful with it. I should have paid my credit card off last year, but I wanted Skyrim/new Xbox/TV instead so I went that route. This year I figured enough was enough, and I'd take care of important stuff first. It's also been a bit tough since my rent is so expensive, and I have a decent-sized car payment every month. Between rent or a car, I've been late/avoiding my car payment, so it was also great to be able to pay both of them without having to worry about one of them! I was also a bit too poor (I like to be generous towards my family with my money) during Christmas 2012 and I couldn't buy a single person a gift, so now that the credit card business was taken care of, I'm going to do some surprise Christmas-in-February for everyone. :) After all THAT is done, if I have some money left (which I should, yay!!!) I'll look at getting "fun"/impulse items for myself. May get an iPhone finally, or another tattoo.

In 2012, I payed about 22%, now I pay about 27%.Not sure how much is just taxes, but all the deductions off my paycheck (taxes, employment insurance, pension, etc..) add up to about 41% and it's even worse when I have a lot of overtime. Quebec taxes are ridiculous. Fortunately, I live in Ontario so I get huge refunds every year. Check out my blog to read the Adventures of a Big Damn (F2P) Hero.
