Going to the animal shelter to play with some once in a while is nice, and going home to play with my parent's 240lb English Mastiff is tons of fun, but I want one for myself. If you pick the right day to ask you could probably have both Ammo and my cat. (I've been buying two 1-litre bottles of water on my way into work each morning) Getting into the car, I dropped it in the driveway... The bottom corner dented in, and the formerly flat bottom now sticks out and keeps the bottle from sitting neatly. I've observed that the general tendency is to become less comfortable with the idea of student debt, and the reality that the longer you wait to incur it the later in life you will be dealing with it. Found out the nearest branch of the public library is right next to my bank, so it's near enough I can go there on weekends. HOWEVER instead they decide to work in a lower-grade IT job because it's easier for them to get in reguardless. This ends up choking entry-level workers having a chance to get in. A good example is at my mates work, a guy was hired just because he had a diploma in IT engineering....in a ENTRY level job that was hardware repairs. He's never done hardware repairs but was hired over me simply for the Uni degree. (I guess you could call it a slight rant) basically, don't rely on IT as a fallback, because EVERYONE is doing it. If you're good at sales there are almost limitless job opportunities (and a lot of variety too), and it's a job that will give back exactly what you put into it. I don't think I've ever seen a foreigner working with computers, a lot of Asians and White folk though...natively born I mean. To me it seems like a decent job market considering, yes, lots of people know about computers but there's five more having no idea and needing repairs. IT, for what my opinion's worth, is a good back-up because the world is becoming increasingly dependent on carrying out basic administrative tasks using a computer; hence, even in a recession, there's no shortage of jobs in admin which require IT literacy (even if there's currently a lot of competition for them, just like every employment sector out there). Retail is also a good back-up. Even if you feel like you currently lack confidence in facing the public, you quickly learn and you'll gain confidence as you go along, confidence you can use to break your way into a better job, if it's not a long-term prospect. My personal "back-up" after dropping out of medical school was care work, and it ended up going from a back-up into something I think I'd be quite happy doing for the rest of my working life. For example: A decent mattress salesman with a smooth tongue might try to get every penny out of his customers by pushing super expensive mattresses on them even if they're not the most comfortable for that particular person. However they're not going to get much repeat business or recommendations when their customers realize they've been shafted.A really good mattress salesman will find the mattress that fits you the best, which will make selling it easier (also you tend not to need to drop price as much if people love the product). Although he makes less money on the sale it's far less likely that the customer will walk, and he's also a lot more likely to get recommended and gain repeat business.Really, the only form of deception that goes on is playing games with the price level, but hey it's also the one of the only situations in which a savvy customer can haggle. Screwing people over is only a good idea for you if you plan on skipping town every other week. It's much better for you to do right by them and let them be grateful. You're still manipulating them, sure, but it shouldn't leave that sour of a taste in your mouth if you're doing right by them anyways.
