Clearly indeed. It said something about multiple b.net service violations, but going by to their TOS, there are none.

 

Also, I am now going on 6 months of job hunting, with my last paycheck coming in early December. I really need to find something soon.

Whoops. Got my 10,000mAh power bank today, and it didn't come with instructions. I charged it up and then tried charging my phone, nothing. I tried a different cable (it came with one) and still no dice. Tried both cables in my computer, they work fine. I sent them an email saying it doesn't work. I've just figured out that pressing the power button only displays the charge state, you have to hold it to turn it on/off. Now I need to wait for a response and apologise.

 

So, that's three Metro games now? I have the first one, and I know about Rangers. Didn't know about Last Light. I assume there are others I also don't know about then, and I now understand why they gave the first one away for free.

Aparrently I have either been botting or hacking D3. They won't even tell me which one of the two, let alone how they came to the conclusion. I have defended this game from release, but I don't think I can anymore.

 

EDIT: Forgot to mention that I have now been perma-banned and would need to buy a new "license" to play again. Good luck with that.

 

EDIT 2: I decided to submit an "appeal" which basically consisted of me telling them their detection system is garbage. Something tells me I won't be playing Diablo 3 anymore even if I want to.

I often do this when government departments and public officials do something boneheaded. Given how often that seems to happen, I wonder if we should consider making it our national anthem. :lol:

I like this. If we are going to keep embarrassing ourselves, we might as well have a good laugh about it and embrace it.

 

Have a different vehicle this week, the SUV. Been a while since I drove auto, takes some getting used to. On the up side, it eats speed bumps for breakfast. Also, it seems that some random person decided my drive way was a parking lot, but they are gone now, and it seems they managed to not hit me on the way out, which was nice of them. Nice of me to decide I wouldn't pursue having them towed unless they were still here when I got up. Mostly, I just didn't want to have a debate with strangers about the merits of parking on my land, or going through the exhaustive process of finding out if it could belong to anyone I know who just decided they didn't need to tell me. I have a car so rarely I wonder if they haven't seen my car there recently and thought it was also a random person, and that I was just allowing people to park there.

I got my first ever plaster cast.

And first ever ride with an ambulance.

Managed to get my knee out of it's joint during the bronze game for this one basketball tournament. I had just scored 2 baskets and we were down by just 7 from a 22 point loss during the fourth quarter and this happened. I am the tallest guy and the only center in team. And in the end my team got ran over by more than 20 again.

Is takes some getting used to code for tried upshifting, mashed the brakes?

 

Nah. When I went to start it, I tried to hit the clutch like 3 times before I remembered I didn't have one. I then tried to clutch when I came to my first stop sign to avoid stalling. I also tried to shift at some point, I think into fourth from what my brain figured was first, since I tried to quickly pull it back (towards what would be second), right, then back again. there was some confusion about it not moving (and also being located in the wrong spot). Still, better than thinking I was in second, since like most cars pushing is enough to move into neutral (safety feature on ice and snow).

 

I'm also not getting a car afterall, which is just as well because it would have been valuable enough to want to insure the car itself, which combined with liability insurance was going to cost me nearly the full value of the car by the end of the year. The insurance company suggested that I might want to stick to driving things so cheap that I only carry liability insurance until my 9 years are up, and they stop robbing me. This is why you get your licanse ASAP. I was a few months late getting mine (because I put my birth certificate through the wash) which is bad enough. I feel very sorry for the people I know who are my age and still don't have a proper license.

I believe he was more referring to the time period in which you need to have you license before car insurance companies stop labeling you as a new driver, thus more likely to get into accidents, thus having to pay a higher insurance premium.

Yeah. It's nine years of clean driving to get the premiums to drop. Any sort of problems on your record will reset that countdown, and likely raise your premiums so that it becomes years until you go back to paying what you used to. Car insurance is not cheap. I just never realized it was that much, so just as well the deal to get the car fell through.

In a really horrible state of mind.

 

It's the exams period and this is the second time my mum has been admitted to hospital in this month alone.

She hasn't been sick in over 10 years and now all of a sudden, 2 admissions to hospital in a month.

I'm the only one at home who lives with her, so I've assumed all the responsibilities as expected...for the second time this month.

In some ways, caring for her after she's come home is easier than running around in circles to the hospital, to school, and back home to try and get some studying done, which is a bit unsuccessful most days as I'm exhausted.

Obviously there's no great time for a loved one to be admitted to hospital, but especially not during exams season.

This is obviously not her fault in any way but I find myself a bit annoyed.

 

I spent all day there and it's great to comfort her and be there, but I also have exams that my University place depends on.

The first time was worse than this as I wasn't sure what to do or where to start, but she came out after a couple of days and it was alright.

Now, 2 weeks later, I find myself more grouchy about the whole thing than normal as I find myself asking 'seriously?' >.>

 

Everytime I walk out of that same hospital alone, I just feel angry and I dont know who at, why I'm angry or how to deal with it.

Just got back from her(my friend's) funeral. I wasn't even close to prepared for the open casket. I literally walked into the wake, dropped my jaw and sat down in shock for 2 hours staring at her lifeless body hoping it would twitch or sigh or shake so that everything would be okay and I could make her smile, and no one would have to deal with her loss. And the whole time I felt guilty for not knowing her better, or making a stronger effort to get to know her more. I finally did work up the nerve to shake her dad's hand, hug her mom and sister. It was heartbreaking. I'd stayed up til 4am drinking and crying last night with some friends, so I was far to dehydrated to even produce tears. But I got to see some people I graduated with I haven't seen since we all walked to our diplomas. She was such a beautiful person, inside and out. She's not on any social media site, and has only had her picture taken like a dozen times. Seeing her in the casket was just...shocking. What I'd do to hear her laugh again. See her smile. Or smell her perfume as she smiled and walked by...

 

I don't think I ever want to go to another funeral. I don't want there to be a reason to.

I know how you feel. During my high school years I lost 2 uncles, an aunt, a cousin and 3 family friends. It's been 5 years since the last one and I still hate the very sight of funeral homes.

 

The latest on my Diablo 3 ban: They replied telling me that they are upholding the ban (no surprise there) and thanked me for respecting their position. By the way, I don't.

Took off my orthosis to get a shower, after finished, started putting on my underwear, twisted my knee just a wee bit too much, crack, terrible pain, painkillers, never taking orthosis off again.

Might have torn MCL, going to teats in a week. And by today my knee had swollen up, yesterday it was fine.

Sympathies to both Maddy and Rpg.

 

I know how hard it was when my mom had to be admitted to the hospital a few months ago, and all I had to deal with was work. I can't imagine what trying to study for exams in the middle of all that would have been like.

 

Unfortunately, I've had to attend two funerals for classmates that died and it's not an easy thing to come to grips with. I was only old enough to drink after one of them, and frankly did pretty much the same thing you did. Hopefully it will be many, many years before you have to attend another one.

@RPG, I know a bit of how you feel. Went to an open casket for a co-worker who died...was not really prepared for that. It has been a mercifully long time since I attended a funeral, and I hope that streak continues for a few more years at least.

 

@Maddy, certainly unfortunate timing. Can definitely sympathise with the target-less anger sort of deal. Hope your Mom is better soon and you make it through the exams alright, you put up with enough shit I think, don't need any more.

 

In more local news, this is why I wanted a thermometer. It was a reasonably warm day today I suppose, maybe low 20's. My room, more than four hours after the sun has set, is 29.9C, and I still have a freaking puff on my bed for reasons that I'm pretty sure don't exist (quite frankly, at 29C all I really need is the bottom sheet, and my bed has been made this way on occasion in the past). At least I'll finally be able to put a number to this once the days start hitting the high 20's (when this happens, I pray for a nice breeze because that's the only thing that prevents my room from turning into an oven).
