Kaida23 Posted July 1, 2013 Share Posted July 1, 2013 Right now I'm in the middle of nowhere and just finished fixing a console that probably would have kept working fine if the mouth-breathers who run the site hadn't screwed with it and simply let the auto recovery program do its job (hell, that's pretty much all I did). The thing that really cheeses me off about this is that it's a holiday and I'm not on call, but no one can get a hold of the guy who is. So now I'm missing out on an afternoon of Canada Day activities with my kids because I'm the only other one who a) knows anything about this system, and b) isn't three sheets to the wind.  This isn't the first time this has happened with this guy either. I have a feeling the boss (who got called directly when they couldn't get a hold of this guy) is going to have a very long talk with him tomorrow. We're trying to get his appetite back so he'll eat something and keep it down, see how that does. He's pretty miserable atm though. We took him to the park and let him swim, and now he won't even stand up. He lays on his bad leg so it hurts, then lays on it more because he doesn't want to get up. Dumb dog. Randox Posted July 2, 2013 Share Posted July 2, 2013 Terrible weather lately, and incoming, but it cleared up really nice at the end of Today. People were actually on the water after it being so foggy that you couldn't see more than 20ft. I took my parents dog out for a row. He loves it so much, though I kind of don't. He's always looking over one side or the other, which throws off the balance of the boat, and rowing a tilted boat is a bit of a pain. I usually end up moving a bit to the side as a counter weight, and rowing from an offset. Oh well, he really does love it. He also loves the jet ski, or really any of the boats. All our dogs have loved the boats, even the jet ski. They just stand in the footwell beside you, and I normally put a leg around them to make sure they don't fall to the side.  That sucks for you Kaida, especially if you are missing out on the kids. The obvious lesson here is to not turn your phone on on Canada day :P I've also started watching some total wipeout again. It's the only reality TV show (things like Holmes on Homes aside) that I don't feel guilty about. The show is people who know exactly what they getting into, and it's not cruel. Given the chance I'd be on that show in a second (preferably the British one, because I'd rather be made fun of with British humor). It looks like massive fun, and being physically exhausting and making you sore for a month is a fair price for such an awesome obstacle course. RpgGamer Posted July 2, 2013 Share Posted July 2, 2013 Jesus what a week. So uhh, I have this deal now with the mods now that when I sarcastically suggest I have a back alley deal with the mods I get a 3 day temp ban haha No hard feelings though, I know I pushed the envelope a little hard (granted I was merely naming a model in the supermodel thread, but whatever I'll be more careful next time yada yada) I've been pretty hammered every day the past week though. Minus Friday and Saturday because I had to work 40 hours between Friday night and Sunday night again. I need to read the last two pages of this thread and I'm only on page 773 of the relationship thread but I'm almost caught up with the important stuff. as for me:`Still dating a my latest crazy again (second attempt is going fairly well all things considered)`Still working far too much`buddy still has an open house for 6 more days, will be drunk alot`met ex fiance's new fiance. I'm absolutely thrilled, all the scores meet my college's AP requirements meaning I get full college credit for each of the tests. :DThat's a lot of credits going in, good on you. Do you know what you're majoring in yet? You might have already said it, but I'm way behind on TIF news. I didn't even know they did random assessments. It's good though, helps to make sure that people are doing things the right way.
