Wow... what an experience that looks like! :)

 

 

Glad you could make it thru Budapest-Vienna-Prague. Some of the more historically interesting cities of Europe.

Yeah, we didn't want to completely bum around everywhere, and want to try some good food. Tbh, I really don't care how much I spend, because 2 weeks after I get back I start my full-time job.

Going on a Doctor who marathon (the new ones, since 2005) before the 50th aniversary episode (yeah I love that show), and the akward moment I realize the doctor actualy says YOLO in series 6 episode 2.. LOL

And honestly, 30 days seems a bit little for a such major trip to take on the whole Europe.

My sleep schedule is completely messed up. For the past week i have been getting to sleep after 4 AM and waking up after 1 PM... And that means skipped classes aswell. I am worried about this and yet I don't know what to do...

My sleep schedule is completely messed up. For the past week i have been getting to sleep after 4 AM and waking up after 1 PM... And that means skipped classes aswell. I am worried about this and yet I don't know what to do...

 

Story of my life since late September.

 

I'll go to everything starting from tomorrow.

Happened to me while i was in the US, and it's happening again right now. For the past few months i've been going to bed when the sun comes up. Doesn't bother me really because i'm more productive at night. But when i was flying it was a big issue.

Anyway, easiest way to fix it is to stay awake the next day. Drink coffee, energy drinks, whatever. Keep yourself busy. Around 8pm you're going to be so tired you won't be able to move. You'll pass out and sleep for like 14 hours, wake up the next day and things should be pretty much back to normal.

But I remember one day at work where I'd only slept 2 hours after a hard evening of being at a festival, when I was working I could stay awake, but once I took a break I almost fell asleep in the break room. 

 

I'm having the same problem right now, waking up too late for classes. I'm not looking forward to the exams in January. It also sucks cause it'll be the first time I can't properly celebrate my birthday since it'll be in the middle of exams. My last 3 birthdays were some of the best days of my life, and now I'll just be studying.

Lol i stopped caring about my birthdays in highschool. I always ended up having to write 2 exams on my birthday every year. When i moved on to Uni, i always had an exam either on my birthday or the day after. When i started my aviation course i moved to the US 2 days before my birthday.

This year was probably the first time in like 8 years i didn't have to study, didn't have exams, i wasn't alone in a strange country :D

I kinda got pushed into fixing my sleep schedule, didn't get a bit of sleep last night, despite actually being in my bed, and feeling tired enough to sleep. I just never fell asleep, then decided to wake up at 9 together with my friend who crashed here. He ended up sleeping longer, and I just started my morning. Anyway, hoping to stay awake till this evening and then sleep so hard.

My entire day has vanished into posting on the forums (the RSOF for the first time in a while). I need to stop posting on topics that prompt me to do research or think so much.

 

I think I spent more than an hour trying to remember what I could from chemistry class because someone was looking for a fictional compound that would kill all organic life without harming anything else (in retrospect, I'm not sure they realized that nerve agents are already pretty much as scary as possible without gaining sentience or radioactivity). I ended up with CsPH(C6H5), which I aimed to make both as a caustic base (I started with Lye, NaOH), and adding on 'scary' stuff like Phosphorus and hydrocarbons. Replaced OH with NH2, then made it PH2, then removed an H so I could attach Phenyl. Maybe if someone actually still remembers chemistry can inform me on just how wrong that compound is (and assuming I didn't totally botch it, is that actually a base?)

Well, I probably remember less than you, but isn't the OH- the important bit in a base, because that's what makes it actually basic/alkaline? And an H+ what makes an acid an acid?
