I've never really enjoyed the Elder Scrolls games, but last night at a friend's dorm, as a joke, I started up a Skyrim account. The sole purpose was to create an incredibly dumb class to play as (I was thinking like hand-to-hand, heavy armor, sneak, armorer, and several other non-combats I wouldn't use), but it turned out there weren't any classes in that game, contrary to my experience with it.

 

So today I booted up Oblivion and followed through on that goal, as well as picking up an arbitrary rule I had set for myself last night. I picked all the weapon/damage abilities, plus block and restoration, and any time I found a weapon that was equal to or better than my current weapon, I had to use it. I could at any time decide to drop the weapon in favor of hand to hand, which I did several times, and I augmented my damage with touch magic which was a little stronger against the scamps.

 

It was really fun actually, though a little slow when I was taking back Kvatch/whatever city, just because I had to wait around to heal because I didn't have a powerful enough regen spell. Once I get a spell that can actually keep up with healing me though, I think I might actually enjoy the game for a little longer than I have traditionally, because I don't have to worry about carrying shit around to sell or anything, I can just go on to the next adventure.

 

Plus I have that horse I stole so getting around isn't super slow when I can't fast travel.

Boy am I ready for Thanksgiving break. All my profs are trying to wrap stuff up before the break, which means I have a shit ton of assignments/labs due on Monday or Tuesday.

 

Anyway, I was on twitter the other day and saw that the Bioshock trilogy was on sale for $15 or so for the PC. Never played them, but I hear its a damn good series. So I bought it cause I felt like the deal was a steal.

 

Now I have too many games too play. 7 hours into Mass Effect 1 because I want to experience that story line (have ME2 lined up afterwards, will have to purchase ME3 after that). Now Bioshock. And I randomly Dead Space 2, which I don't really want to play until I've played through the first game.

 

I guess that happens with PC gaming and steam. You see a good deal and you go for it and slowly you buy more and more games but have less and less time to play them.

 

Still have to buy a game with a Source engine and Garry's Mod since that stuff looks fun as hell. Maybe I'll wait until Christmas break to purchase those. Heck, is there a steam Christmas Sale?

Came back from work at 1 AM.. Lol, at least that means more than 40 hours of work this week, which means overtime!

 

On the other hand, winter conditions right now and extremely slippery. First time ever I get feedback from the abs brakes, as I've only had this car since the summer, and the old echo didn't have abs brakes. Didn't know what to expect.

I wish we had a proper winter. But noooo, we have to have this period of rain and 0-7 degrees Celsius temperature. For weeks.

Normally winter starts a bit earlier still though.

Geez right now it's like 20 here and i'm already starting to freeze my ass off in the evenings.

I remember living in South Africa and it would get anywhere from 0 - 10 and sometimes just below 0 in Winter. I hated it. I thought that was extremely cold. Having lived in the Middle East for almost 7 years now though, i can't imagine going back to that kind of weather. I would probably not make it out alive. Anything below 20 and i need to put a sweater on.

 

On a different note... me and my girlfriend had a huge fight today. She even started crying. I'm not even sure what happened, to be honest. One moment we were playing around and the next she was in tears. I feel like a proper scumbag right now.

There's snow on the ground here. It's beautiful, I love it.

 

Kind of a relaxed weekend, all my homework was due this week so now I just get to chill until thanksgiving break. It's quite nice even if I'm unsure what to do with my time.

Proper winter is snow and -5 to -30. Then you can at least ski and snowboard and stuff. Have fun with winter. Right now doing anything outside is shitty, and there is mud everywhere and it is wet everywhere.

-9 right now with 6 inches of snow, more falling, and strong, cold winds. But I used to wait for a bus in -20 to -30 when I was working for Nestlé. It was really fun when the bus was 15 minutes late.

 

Nowadays, I would love to do that again if it meant I had a job.

Went paintballing today, let's just say I'm covered in welts. My left leg is all but useless, and breathing is painful due to a few neck shots. The biggest welt is on my neck, too. Definitely going back again though, once moving stop hurting so much.

 

I dunno what kind of magic keyboard you're using, Furah but even sober mine comes out as giberish 90% of the time when I'm on my phone. Allow me to type this post again without taking 10 minutes to proofread.

Ended up not seeing and Hunger Games stuff as someone bailed last minute, but got to see Dr Who in 3D, which was awesome.

Then I got out the cinema and my bike's back wheel was basically bent to a point where it was unusable, someone probably tried to steal it, before realising how bad it was. :lol:

 

Stil kind of annoyed, going to cost £40+ to get a new back wheel, tyre etc, as well as fixing the gears. :wall:
